Not that bizarre but one of the most delicious dishes I've ever eaten was green curry ramen.

Tuna tartar and guacamole with wasabi seaweed chips.

I usually don't like shaved coconut, but those one coconut cookies are pretty good. Overall, they're pretty solid, and I usually buy them because girl scouts are cute. Even the ugly ones.

The bag the rice comes in should have instructions, but this is how I do white rice
1 part rice, 2 part water
put both in pot, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, put cover on pot and leave it the fuck alone for 20 minutes
Take off the heat and eat it
you can use bullion cubes or stock to change up the flavor if you get bored of plain rice.

You're posting on the internet, therefore you have access to any ingredient from anywhere via mail-order.

Curries are great but they tend to require many ingredients that you won't find at a wal-mart so that might be an issue for you. Japanese style curry would be a good choice since that requires only basic ingredients + the roux blocks, plus it's simple as fuck to prepare.
