>we are an equal opportunity employer, we don't discriminating on race, religion, gender, skin color, national origin, sexual orientation etc.

How come I'm paid a pittance while my American coworkers get all the dosh?

>we pay according to the market

sure but the market does discriminate. Further, if it underpays e.g poc or women (which it does btw) then it is magically okay to discriminate against them?

I'm all for discriminating against whoever you want, but you can't call yourself pc-sjw-equal-opportunity if you do that.

They probably asked for more money during salary negotiations. If you feel you're being underpaid quit and go seek out more money elsewhere.
>>
>>1798230

If women really earned 70% of what men earn for the same work, male unemployment would be 100%.
>>
>>1798240
there is no negotiation, you are assigned a level and you get your salary according to that.
Except if you work from a 2nd world IP you get 1/5 of the money.

You are right, that is the only sensible course of action, but the the double standard is really unfair. Being shafted is one thing, pretending to be a force of good while you discriminate against your overseas workers is just pure disgusting. People are up in arms when it is about poc, women, muslims, immigrants etc, but (white/cis/male) remote workers can get fucked because hey, that is how we roll and they don't have any voice to speak up. The hypocrisy is mind blowing, but I'm sure they don't see it.

It is not about the actual numbers, this is me ranting on my blog, because although I'm right I can do nothing about it.

Anyone here in the scrap gold buying business? I'm thinking of putting up some flyers advertising that I'm willing to buy old jewelry. Does anybody in this line of work have any tips for me? Any stories to share?

Don't buy ANYTHING without getting it tested.
>>
>>1798204

You know there are just scams - usually Nigerians conning old women and poor people to hand over their gold, wait 2 weeks for the purity to be tested and a "cheque" that never comes.

Pretty sure these are played out now.

Does anyone know if there are any ETFs or stocks specifically pertaining to wine production? Right now I've been scouting out alcohol investments just for recreational purposes and I've compiled a list of beer and whiskey stocks, but i can't seem to find any direct wine investments-

Whiskey: Whiskey ETF (WSKY), Diageo (DEO), Pernod Ricard (PDRDF), and Brown-Forman (BFB)

Beer: Boston Beer Co (SAM), Anheuser Busch InBev (BUD), Craft Brew Alliance (BREW), Molson Coors (TAP), and Constellation Brand (STZ)

Also, would it be smart to invest in any beer/whiskey companies right now?

A lot of wineries are not publically traded companies.

I can tell, I posted this thread to find out if there are any publicly traded wineries and to see if there's any way for me to invest in wine without actually physically buying the stuff.

How much math do I need for technical analysis? Right now I'm a university freshman that just finished Calc I and now I'm taking Calc II. How useful of a skill is it to know?
13 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1797769
Technical analysis is not based on math. It's about as scientific as reading animal bones and entrails to predict the future.

If you want legit stock forecasting, start reading about Bayesian statistics and stochastic time series modelling.
>>
>>1797807
What does technical analysis entail then?

And how much math would I need for Bayesian statistics? I'm aiming to head into the field of econometrics and just started Empirical Economics I, which is basically low level stats so far (we use Stata).
>>
>>1797829
It basically comes down to using already known indicators + drawing fancy trend lines or any other graphical elements including fibbonaci levels etc.

Create your own indicators and ideas. Mabe look into neral networks (not that in itself it is a great idea but it will get your mind thinking on other approaches)

>the Fed does an "asset swap" of all the student loan debt which banks have with bonds that have higher denominated yields and duration
>After doing this the Fed credits the accounts of all students with an equivalent amount of the student loan debt in cash
>students can use this cash to start businesses which would generate profits that would pay off the interest required to pay the student loan bonds that banks hold
>students who waste that money and do not start a business will be executed
>the economy grows rapidly and millions of businesses and jobs will be created
>everyone wins

Why is this policy not being implemented RIGHT NOW?

Students not able to pay back their loan despite having a 'degree' (feminism, art, history of african agriculture) won't be able to start a succesful business. They are just an overall failure.

Hi guys, as I said yesterday I got fired from big tech company.
I was in charge of sales/marketing. I can tell you how companies fk little startups etc.

I'll write up something on my own but feel free to ask me anything.

1# when you contact a company as a startup they will rip you off big time. No matter what they do belive me they took atleast 50%.

2# makeing apps/programs will be dead soon. Only big companies will buy apps/programs and everything else will be made by freelance pajeets.

3# never do business with pajeets/chinks etc. they only want to steal you idea and resell it

4# GOATs app devs are Slavs. 50% of the price, 100% of value.

pretty cool op.

What the fuck is a marketing app?

Tell me your opinion of anime girls and asian girls in general?

How do I get people to read my shitty gag comic?
>>
5# if you do any business with a company than make sure you get a good sales rep. 90% of the time its a newbie on training. Good sales rep will tell you much, much more than newbie ever could.

6# you don't need to be a genius to make money online. Copy your homework from friends and you will do just fine. Don't try to make new facebook, new UpWork etc.

find better ways to invest in yourself. your amounts dont mean shit.

if youre gonns invest in stocks and shitx just use it as motivation to actually study financial modeling, valuation metrics, the markets, etc.

the amt really doesnt mean shit
>>

Seriously my anon friend, at your income you will receive more benefit from spending the money to enhance your lifestyle than 'investing'.

$3,000 per year is pathetic in terms of investing - best case scenario it'll earn you $300 - but the opportunity cost could far outweigh that - good times with friends, family, comfy clothes etc.

Is it possible to complete law school while working a full time job? I am speaking completely from the point of view of difficulty and effort. Will I have to be enrolled in school part time? Do they offer night classes? Paying for school won't be much of a problem with the job I will have next year. I will have an engineering degree and with a law degree I can work my way into patent law.

Dunno where else to ask this
8 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>1797211
It's surely possible but it may prove to be rather difficult as law studies are no joke (I have a masters degree in commercial law). I know a few people who completed law school this way though, so if you want that - go for it.
>>
I actually know several people who completed their law degrees while working as police officers fulltime. I'm sure it can be done but its probably a motherfucker.
>>
I studied law in Amsterdam. And its completely possible. I followed almost all my classes in the evening. And spend only a few hours a week on studying. Except when I had an exam. Then I needed 1 to 3 days to study, for a minimal passing score. Only my thesis took a year longer than expected.

But you must read and understand all books. And you must be able to concentrate. Its mostly a matter of discipline. Which is the hardest part. Its so easy to slack off.

Being smart is a plus, but it wont save you if you dont read your books. Because you dont know anything about the subject.

>>
>>1796359
I'm thinking of shorting 5 k tomorrow and then 5 k more if it drops more. Do you think this is a wise choice? (being serious though, I'm not trying to lose money). I think its just overvalued at this point

p.s bought in at 250 and made a nice amount selling at 271 :)
>>
>>1796359
You should look into selling calls at 290. 280 might be the top and with the earnings volatility you should be able to make a lot of money off of your secured position.

Jewish tricks? No, and please refrain from the antisemitism! Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> How is it free?
"People" invest your settled funds when you're not using them, just like banks.

Are you aware how small this community is? Better to try stocktwits or r/wallstreetbets

Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using stockcharts.com, finviz, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

The thing about apps like tinder and OKC are that they primarily help people who would otherwise have no trouble going to a bar and picking people up face-to-face. To them, its a convenience, since their picture and bio can successfully do all the talking for them.

For everyone else, its just another source or rejection and yes, the people in this category are almost entirely male.

So suppose there was a dating app that let men in on the big data side of online dating? Who's getting laid, how are their pictures taken, and how do you measure up? Are their bio's intricate and details regarding their interests and personal philosophies or are they two lines stating their intentions in a funny quip? This does both the jobs of coaching non-optimal men in becoming, or at the very least presenting themselves as, optimal, while creating a track to having a large userbase of optimal men, meaning there's incentive for both men and women to start using the app.

Other than feminist whining, is there anything I'm missing?
