Guys I need help, my future is at stake here.

I'm gonna get my bachelor's soon, and for my master's I was thinking of doing it in UK. Because I could get a 10k gbp loan from the UK gov and then I was planning to move there because there are no jobs in my country and the salary is shit. Eastern european, but EU member. Should I do it? Is the brexit gonna affect this? Am I gonna waste a lot of money and have to come back to my shithole with a debt to pay? Or am I gonna get a decent job and a decent life there?

Please /biz/, I don't know what to do.

Yes. Do it. Britain has good prospects despite what is said. And you only have to pay the loan back when you earn over a certain amount. Impossible to go bankrupt.
>>
>>1794723
What about brexit? Isn't it risky? I don't expect it, but what if I won't be allowed to work legally anymore? Do I leave it all behind and go back home?

Well I guess I could just call it an experience and that's all, considering I'll never earn enough in my country to need to pay back anything.

Is going all in on Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF a stupid idea?

I'll put in 500 bucks every months and try to hold it for 10-20 years and also am too lazy to keep up with the market.

Are there more promising one-ETF or two-ETF solutions?

I suggest you compare ex-US world etfs vs the S&P500. You'll find most of the world that isn't the US kinda sucks. You might consider such an ETF as a hedge though if it looks like the US is about to shit the bed.

>though if it looks like the US is about to shit the bed
That's what I'm worrying about, otherwise I would instant go all in on S&P 500

But USA might be a third world shit place in 2040, the whole world is unlikely

Hey /biz/, I've been contemplating making a dating app, but before I commit the effort to making it, I want to see how much interest there is.

PROBLEM:
The current generation of dating apps have shifted the balance of power in the dating market heavily in favor of women. Apps like Tinder give already inherently choosy women so many options that now even 1/10 meth-head landwhales won't date anyone that's not at least an 8/10. Worse, "feminist" dating apps like Pink and Bumble put outright restrictions on their male users to further shift the balance of power. The result is an entire generation of extremely shallow and entitled women.

SOLUTION:
A dating app that's designed to covertly shift the balance of power back to the center. It's going to be called Soul, with the taglines "find your soulmate" and "dating for people, not animals." It will be a location-based dating app similar to Tinder et. al., but with some important differences.

[2/2]

Users will only be able to view and match with a subset of nearby app users, based on compatible personality traits and interests. The trait selection UI is going to be intentionally gimmicky, in that it will be set up in a way so that selecting certain traits forces you to exclude others you might also want and include some you don't want. This forces users (and specifically women) to prioritize their interests instead of inputting an unattainable perfect ideal companion into the app.

Additionally, since only nearby users matching your preferences are shown, your options will tend to be more limited. This has the sideaffect of forcing users to be less hyper-selective when using the app, and go out on more actual dates to get to know the people.

Finally, and this part is most important, the app is going to attract users and force them not to be shallow by using using psychological suggestion in the marketing material, as well as within the app itself. Most men are already fed up with the current selection of dating apps for the reasons described above, so getting them to use the app will require less effort. However, in order gain female users, some industrial-scale guilt trips are going to be used. The current generation of women in their 20's have been praised their entire lives and have lost the ability to respond to criticism, and especially criticism coming from an unknown source. This whole app is based on the theory that it should then be possible to shame people into not being shallow with some clever marketing. A series of YouTube video ads will be run that follow hypothetical female Tinder/ Pink/ Bumble users and humorously highlight bad experiences that may result from selecting matches purely based on looks or other shallow criteria, followed by a more positive experience after using Soul. The goal is to make it humorous and impactful enough that it will go viral and drive user conversion for the app.

Is anyone interested?
>>
I'll be making it in Apache Cordova so that it will be cross-platform, by the way.
>>
>>1794310

I sense that, by this, you mean telling women the bad things that might happen to them if they select dates based on unrealistically high standards.

I think what might work at least equally well, if not better, is something like a cute little cartoon video that depicts a superficial ditz swiping left, so to speak, on a list of decent guys, looking for an 11/10 or something, and a disapproving girl, who is also cute but depicted as more down to Earth, who is shown picking your app.

If there's one thing people like, it's feeling like they do things because they're better than others.

How much more desirable do additional languages make you on the job market and what fields would I see the biggest increase of income in if I speak multiple languages fluently?

I speak English, German and Russian fluently because of various circumstances in my life and I'm currently learning Japanese. I will also have to choose a major soon and I'm hoping to capitalize on being able to speak multiple languages but I hear translators don't make that much. Any advice /biz/?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
The best idea is to have a STEM major + languages. In case you want to work at an American company (I assume you are american) the languages might not be needed. But if you knowingly seek out German/Russian/Japanese companies or companies that have relations with those countries, then it will be appreciated. They might send you to courses and company tours abroad, so you can travel, which is always nice. They might see you as a great addition which means higher chance of promotion. Also, you can make connections, also always a good thing. This is coming from a second world country.
>>
>>1793771
I currently live in Germany actually but thanks for the advice. I was already planning on going into some kind of engineering field or just studying mathematics and I suppose it makes the most sense whether you speak multiple languages or not. I feel like it is quite a feat to speak so many languages fluently and it would be a shame if my future employer didn't appreciate it. Suppose I'll have to make do either way. Thanks again.
>>
I haven't ever seen languages help anyone with making more money unless you're a translator.

* I found some good jobs in the job section.

* The articles are politically loaded

So a couple questions for those who have read Keynes.

A high liquidity preference relates to a decreasing slope of the interest rate increase or an increasing negative slope of the decreasing interest rate right?

And the second thing... Keynes fundamentally views 'saving' and 'investment' as fundamentally different things. To the point where the excess of urge towards saving over investment is one of the two main causes of aggregate demand being so much lower than aggregate supply. How can this be if the amount saved and invested must be equal, which is how the interest rate is determined?

>A high liquidity preference relates to a decreasing slope of the interest rate increase or an increasing negative slope of the decreasing interest rate right?

I just answered my own question. I believe this fundamentally means the long-term interest rate goes down relative to the short-term interest rate.

The second point is still active though, a pretty big quandary for me tbqh.
>>
>>1794815
>A high liquidity preference
depends if its a long term increase in liquidity preference(technology) or a short one(recession)
> How can this be if the amount saved and invested must be equal, which is how the interest rate is determined?
obviously the reality is more complicated than a saving=investment model. Could be that mon ey is fleeing the country(not necessarily a full capital flight scenario, but could be because other countries are a bit safer etc). Other reasons are stuff like fractional reserve banking making them unequal, people hoarding cash etc.
>>
>>1794844
>depends if its a long term increase in liquidity preference(technology) or a short one(recession)
How do you know if the increase or decrease in liquidity is short term or long term?

Not all recessions are short, either. And to be honest with you, the longer the recession the more apt it is to raise the liquidity preference, meaning the rates for long-term investments start improving even during the recession.

The second part of your answer is sufficient because it's something I agree 100% on. I can see how this would be the case.

I have decided to become a YouTuber. I need $300 to buy equipment. Actually need $900 because $300 for equipment and $500 for Sony Vegas Pro but I think I'll substitute Vegas with my smartphone camera and video editing app for a while.

>inb4 go flip 300 burgers / suck 300 cocks

I had an accident and now I am stuck in home. My country does not give disability bucks.

What is the best way to make $300 ASAP on the Internet?

Or anything I can do at home?

for one, you would need to flip like 1,200 burgers minimum to make $300.

also torrent sony vegas?

then buy a used 16MP 1080p point and click camera (second hand) for like $60

I have had a very weird life. A ex-coworker at my place of work assaulted me, by rubbing his genitals on my phone. He had herpes type 1+2. I sued my workplace and got 500k for damages after the legal fees (frankly I would rather not herpes). Well I have given up on dating in the USA and am in my late twenties. I am going to find a wife, and I want a bimbo that has big fake tits or is willing to get them. My father is leaving me 2-6 million dollars (present value) in 20 years.

What is the best country to get bimbos (replaceable after 10-15 years) from who will literally give me bj's 2-3 times a day?

I can move to their country, to make my money last longer / have more control over the woman.

I want to be able to divorce the woman, and keep all my assets, with no child support / alimony. I have lost any empathy I had, and I literally just want attractive, semi disposable/controllable women.

UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME

How it would work:
>Every adult citizen is paid a guaranteed amount of $20k annually to be used at their discretion. Almost everybody will use it to cover housing, food, and utility expenses (basic costs of living).
>Companies, knowing that everyone is getting an extra non-taxable $20k, uniformly reduces ALL salaries by $23.5k
>Overnight, every mid to large company nearly HALVES their wage expenses.
>Thus, all these huge companies will suddenly be making A LOT more profit, which the government can then TAX at a higher rate, thus financing the UBI system.

IT ALL WORKS!

Even in the US, it would work:
>Every adult gets $20,000
>250,000,000 adults in the US
>It would cost $5 trillion annually for UBI
>Corporate profit is currently about $1.5 trillion annually.
>With corporations' wage expenses cut in HALF, you could expect that number to be closer to $7 trillion (manpower is the most expensive thing, period).
>Slap a fat 70% tax on corporate profits, and boom, UBI paid for, and the corporations have EXTRA half a trillion in profit that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise (now have $2 trillion versus $1.5 trillion).

YOU CAN'T DEFEAT THIS. THIS IS THE FUTURE.
