Hey /biz/,
I've had an idea for a great service, kind of like Ebay, but different. I can't get into specifics, obviously, but since the website would function similarly to a prostitute finding website (except legal and doesn't involve sex work in any way, just a kind of service), I'll use that as my example/alias(?). Anyways, I had some questions.
> 1. If I wanted to create a website for people to connect on and use it as a medium, where would I start? I assume there's no "easy make-your-own" for that sort of thing, should I hire someone to do it, do it myself, or what, and if so what should I expect that to run me?
> 2. Do I need to register anything or anything like that if I want to make an eCommerce business?
> 3. How do I keep a copycat from springing up, given it becomes popular? Patent??

You're fucked, kid.

Does anyone feel like AMD's performance is giving you a false sense of hope in your investing skills?

I feel the same way about crypto trading.
I can't work out whether it's just really easy or I'm actually good at it.

Are there any games to gold farm in that you can make a decent amount of money on in 2017?
>>1801732
>buy gold for ESO
>use gold to flip items, especially gold-ranked materials like wax or tempering alloys
>sell gold to mmogah
You can make insane money if you're willing to do it all day. Also, I've bought from mmogah a couple times. Never sold to them though.

Virtually nothing.
It's about six months of savings for the average person in the UK.
But you can still do virtually nothing with it.

No, I didn't think so. thanks for being honest.

Hard workers are really difficult to come by. I think you made a mistake here.
Karma is a bitch my friend.
>have a literal beta slave
>let him go
I don't understand. Those hardworkers usually have nothing resembling ambition and only exist to service you.
>>1800568
Really bad decision man. It's really hard to find good slaves. What the fuck are you doing?

Any self taught programmers here? What value would you place on a Google nanodegree? I want to learn java. Udacity and Google offer a 6 month nanodegree to learn the basics of java and have 1:1 feedback and mentoring
Would you teach yourself again or pay for some instruction?

To get a job? Almost useless since HR is clueless unless you have a BEng or BA in Comp Sci.
For self improvement and to code your own thing - its good.

I have an engineering degree already. I just want to learn to code an Android app and possibly freelance

Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using stockcharts.com, finviz, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Tighten everything up and organize your information better. Reduce the amount of space on your resume, you want it to look as dense as possible without someone having to squint to read everything. List your skills and what you're good at, use your job experience to support your skillset + list what things you actually did at your job. Everyone embellishes, but don't bullshit. Generally you'll need ~3 points for each job you've done that concisely summarise what you've done.
Unless the resolution is disguising it, I assume you meant 'College' and not 'Collage'
Compare with pic related if you need a reference for what I mean (there's a particularly long description for one of the jobs because there's quite a bit of content).

In your summary, what kind of Engineering student are you? Why are you looking for part time or nightshift, why not full time?
Re-structure the sections, people care more about your skills and work experience than your education.
Use less whitespace between information inside sections.
Why does industry experience have no dates?

So i started flipping some items on the side for a little extra cash this year. in Jan. I cleared $365 (about $250 of pure profit before ebay/paypal). I was pretty happy with this, but i just got billed by ebay for $38 out of nowhere for "fees", even though it says my first 50 listing are free.
I called and they said that those are different fees that actually arnt being applied right now.
So with paypal already taking another 5%, and paying for like 50% of shipping it all really cuts into my profits. And i have no idea how much Ebay will be charging after I list 50+ items.
I guess i just need general advice about selling on ebay
>>1803492
yes I used to sell things on ebay and used to do pretty well. Now USPS shipping is expensive, Ebay Fees are expensive and Paypal fees are expensive I can't make any money the way I used to anymore.
>>1803513
Have you ever looked into UPS/FEDEX rates?
>>1803522
yeah USPS is the cheapest and easiest. I only offer free shipping on a few kinds of items, and i do flat rate pricing for shipping and over-charge by like 20%. So the items i do free shipping on basically end up paid for.
shipping isnt really the problem its ebay fees and paypal
could someone just explain how ebay fees even work. its suprisingly hard to get a straight answer from google
Tell me how to find an investor.
* I'm a programmer.
* I have a solid idea for a niche software product/service. There are competitors in the space but mine would have certain significant advantages.
* I have the skills to implement this idea.
* I work freelance so would be almost immediately available to work on it.
* It is not something I could (or would want to) do in my spare time.
* It would be sold as a subscription service and the nature of the product means that a high rate of lock-in is likely; i.e once it is in place it is likely that the customer would not want to move away or could even be effectively forced to stay in many/most cases.
I estimate I would need around $13,000 to fund my daily life for the duration I would work on it. Then there would be marketing of course. Running costs would be fairly minor and would scale well with the client base, so those wouldn't be much of a concern.
Does anyone fund this kind of thing? How would I even start approaching anyone?
>>1803420
a bank. get a loan.
>>1803446
No, I want someone else to shoulder the risk in exchange for a significant revenue share. I.E a traditional investor.
Running my own company and doing whatever the fuck I feel.

>What are the restrictions on day trading?
SEC rules for margin accounts (e.g. RH Instant and RH Gold) limit you to no more than three day trades in a sliding five day window (that is five trading days, or one week), unless you have an equity balance of at least $25,000 in your account. These rules do not apply to cash accounts.
>Should I use Robinhood Instant or a cash account?
Robinhood Instant allows you to instantly reinvest funds after selling shares, but day trading is restricted. Without it you can day trade all you want, but funds take three days to settle.

So fucking PEPECASH has been already featured on sites such as Vice and Le Monde.
And it's just in its infancy.
In the long run its marketcap will be decreasing at each new serie of Rarepepes, cause they burn the coins sent for submitting new cards.
So why u niggas are not spending all your life savings in it??
i meant it's max coin cap will be decreasing
No one is putting their life savings into it because it's a boring, old, over used meme that has zero use. The only people putting money in will lose it, and they deserve it too because this shit is fucking stupid.
>>1800823
Do you think this is just another scrypt shitcoin with the name PEPE slapped on it?
I suggest you actually look into the whole rarepepe's on the blockchain thing.
It's gonna be big.
