Australians: commonwealth bank has suspended all further loans on investment residential property.
We could see other banks follow suit.
Maybe see a swathe of asset holders on 25 year mortgages holding the unsellable that's giving ROI of 2% without taking into account running costs.
This may finally be it, the popping of the biggest bubble in human history.

I am starting a business (pest control) and am about $2,000 short (I need to start before summer or else I won't be able to break even by year's end). I do not qualify for the minimum personal loan I could find and family is wealthy but cheap as fuck and they all think no self started business can succeed. How the fuck do I come up with the money?

>"If-if I start working hard and having good habits and ignoring internet time wasting then I'll definitely become one of the cool, smart, rich people!!!1"
Wrong. I've spent significant time at two of the world's top 5 universities (one of them as an undergraduate) and many of the most accomplished students were just as disorganised and "dysfunctional" (by self-help standards) as the worst of the worst students in my high school.
I'm not saying they don't do the work. They do. But they also waste gigantic amounts of time on the internet and procrastinate for extreme amounts of time that I didn't previously consider viable while still doing impressive things while getting good grades (research publications during undergrad, businesses, running student societies with large memberships and budgets).
Let copers cope by thinking getting rich isnt luck.
yeah the difference is the accomplished ones are incredibly productive in the time that they work.
this is the /biz/ redpill

you don't inherit debt if you opt out the inheritance.
>>1803926
>He didn't opt out
you can't just take the inheritance and don't pay the debts they come as a package deal.
just saying that's what it means no legal obligation you have a choice.

I have a side business where I design and sell lapel pins, stickers, etc. So far I've been using my own illustrations, but I'd like to start doing some with Pepe. I've heard stories online about Matt Furie (Creator of the web comic Boys Club, where Pepe originated) taking people down with copyright claims, but I can't find anything to substantiate that.
Legal experts: Can I move into Pepe and sell derivative works of it? What about artistic variations of Pepe? Should I have any problems with this?
Anybody?

if its as lucrative as you say, then its achievable but you have to be willing to put it all aside. Keep private about it as well, the accounts are going anywhere. More people you tell the more chances of the finding where the hole was and who was effected.

Any value investors browsing this evening?
When you buy at a value you think to be at a discount, how long do you wait before you sell?
Intuition tells me you would wait until the intrinsic value is reached, but some research says that it may take anywhere from 5-20 years before the intrinsic value is realized.
On average, how long do you, the one reading this post, hold your value investments? What triggers your sell?
Bonus: What is your method of calculating intrinsic value (or at least what things do you use to calculate it, don't need to say the actual formula)?
Looks like time series.

Alright /biz/ princes listen up.
in 16 months i'll have more than 250k bucks in my bank and i will start a restaurant with it.
i'll go all in with that, leave a bit of fractions to live.
but i'm thinking of making it a breakfast/brunch only place, so i could hire less staff and get most of the traffic time (6am to 3pm)
any advice?
besides i already own a house and have the experience, so if it fails i wont overdose or hang myself
i'll just shrug it off and return to some hotel's kitchen.
>>1802886
> gets a massive gift of $250k

Jesus dude. I can elaborate if you need more advice on just how terrible of an idea this is.
>>1802943
came here to post this
>>1802886
Sell your house, put that and the 250k into index funds, buy a cabin way out in the boonies for chump change, build a second cabin to rent out to yuupies on Airbnb, make way more money than a breakfast joint, don't commit suicide when your breakfast joint inevitably fails and you lose all your money.
How do you know you're in the right career path?
Or if you're getting paid enough for your job?
And is it better to be hired by government than being hired by private company or freelancing?
>>1802400
All of this is personal preference.
Are you currently operating drone mode OP? I just started waging to save some money and I'm feeling it myself.
>How do you know you're in the right career path?
For some people it feels right when they are doing it. Others only realize it when they try something else and realize that they need to go back.
>Or if you're getting paid enough for your job?
Few jobs pay well enough for the work you do, but if you don't mind your lifestyle or what you're on track to do for yourself long term then it's good.
>And is it better to be hired by government than being hired by private company or freelancing?
Generally yes. I'd tier them with salaried government work with benefits at the top, then freelancing, then private company, then "independent contractor" "freelancing" for a private company.
>>1802400
How badly do you feel?
If you feel worse than 'average', you're probably on the wrong path.
