Is this a puppy tooth? It got loose while I was playing tug of war with my pup. She's about 5 months or alittle older now and I've heard that most of her front teeth (incisors) should be adult by now.

It's obviously tender for her since she doesn't want to bite/chew on her toys anymore.

>>
it's not unusual to still have a few puppy teeth at 5 months

around here, that's about $23 to remove at the vet
>>
>>2246512

I wouldn't be hard to just wait for it or do it myself, I just don't wanna pull out a adult tooth that is still growing in.
>>
>>2246532

again, a vet will help you figure that out

but do whatever. dye your dog pink and superglue socks to its feet

I never post here so forgive me. Just wondering if anyone here has ever owned a red claw crab? I just got one and here he is eating an apple. He loves apples and cucumbers. Just need some general advice on how to keep these little guys as healthy as possible? I've googled the basics i.e. Tank, water, food requirements but has anyone here got any more advice for someone who has never owned an aquatic creature until now ?

Buy a better fucking camera, so that the next time you start a thread it can have more than one shitty pic in it.
>>

Not gonna lie OP, this guy is right. >>2245842

I usually skip the threads with shitty pics, more pics always makes me want to give info out. That being said, idk anything about crab care.

>brother gets chinchilla while living at home with mom
>Doesn't tell anyone, just brings it home one day and puts it in the living room
>He moves out, asks me to take care of it while getting settled
>I have him for 2 years, but don't really mind because brother has his hands full with kids
>He talks about getting a dog, I tell him if he does I'm making him take his chinchilla back
>He agrees to it without fuss, which is perfect because I need to find a cheaper apartment (which generally means no pet apartment)
>He gets a dog, I make plans to move to new apartment as was the agreement
>He tells me he is stalling to pick up chinchilla solely to piss me off
>On moving day, I have to deliver his pet to him
>Give brother a new, bigger cage, chinchilla toys, sand, treats, everything i bought for it

Fast forward nearly a year later
>Helping babysit because they can't take care of their own kids
>Go into the basement to get food
>Chinchilla is totally out of my mind until I see his cage there
>Windowless, musty, dark basement
>Shit radius of at least a few feet from the cage
>Cage obviously hasn't been cleaned in ages
>Food dish empty of food, but has shit in it
>Go tell dipshit his animal has no food
>"Oh yeah he's been out for a while I need to buy more"
>Week goes by, still no chinchilla food
>Wait until brother is already out, and remind him to get chinchilla food
>Another week goes by, no fucking food
>Take matters into my own hands and go out and buy it and give it to them
>I'm over a few days later to babysit
>Go into basement to check on him
>Bag of food i bought hasn't even been opened yet, food dish is still empty
>Feed the fucker myself too
I really want to stop coming over and helping but I know if I did, that poor thing would starve to death. I would take it back but I can no longer afford pet friendly housing. If I knew he'd be this awful to it I would have sold the critter on Craigslist.

Wow your brother sounds like the biggest cunt ever, if I were you I'd just cut contact completely.
>>
>>2245708
Not too late for Craigslist. Sorry your brother is a waste of oxygen.
>>
>>2245708
>tfw I felt bad that you gave him food because it prolonged his shitty existence
It's not your fault though.
Is your idiot brother willing to give it up to be sold/adopted out or at least see why this is so fucked up and why he doesn't need to have him? Does he live close enough where you can come maintain his cage and care for him? Are you even willing to do that?

I let two of my guinea pigs (back when I had 7 and a new litter and no space) go to some young students at my school and they lived happy lives. I'm sure a school would let you keep him there as a class pet. Kids/parents/teachers would be a better option than your bro at this point.

Tbqh the way it sounds is that you could still give or sell this chinchilla on craigslist anyway because your bro wouldn't notice. You're doing him a favor.

What is your opinion about pacific ocean is dying off bc of japanase nuclear disaster?
8 posts and 2 images submitted.

Thats not even an opinion thing. Anyone who thinks it it dying significantly because of it is flat out wrong.

People should be more concerned about overfishing, but it lacks the "nuclear" buzzword.

It's just a large area where water contains a shitload of microscopic bits of plastics. If you dive in the area, you're more likely not to see anything than to see it at all.

Anyone have a lot of succulent knowledge? I picked these up at a local nursery on the clearance shelf. They were just labeled "Sedum sp." I think they are both Sesum adolphii cultivars. Maybe one is just Sedum adophii? Anyone?

i have the one on the left. forgot what it was lol. surprised its not dead because i've had shitloads of rain (its currently sitting in a 1 inch puddle) and its barely gets any sunlight but still seems to be growing. succulents are fucking tough

>>2245489

So Brave Wilderness did a video where he got stung by the Tarantula Hawk, and writhed in pain like a baby. It's meant to be the second most painful sting in the world behind the Bullet Ant.

The thing is, there's a Ceremony some remote village in South America conducts on boys, where they have to wear gloves full of Bullet Ants, and get stung repeatedly for 20 minutes. There are videos of it on Youtube too, and they don't seem to be screaming.

My question is: Are Bullet Ant stings really that painful or was Coyote Peterson exaggerating?

I'm pretty sure they drug the kids so they don't feel it as much.

Plus there's huge social pressure on the kids to endure it, and native tribes are tough as fuck in general.
>>
>>2245259
The entire point of the ritual is that you're not supposed to cry out or you fail to become a man. It's also expected that you repeat the ritual multiple times, so at some point they probably start getting used to it. Coyote might be exaggerating a bit, but Tarantula Hawk stings are pretty goddamned excruciating, so i'd imagine that for a bullet ant to get their rating they'd have to be on a completely different level.

Boy or girl? If girl, is she spayed? Is it hard or soft? Honestly it looks like a miscarriage to me, but it could be anything from a kidney stone to expelled puss from an infection to regular discharge. Either way take it and her to the vet.

How do handlers cuddle and play with big cats? Is the protocol to raise them from infancy and don't be a sperg or make any sudden movements that will get you killed from triggering predatory drives? Should I just find a cougar kitten and treat it like a house pet? You've all seen the videos I've referring to, it's like a big cuddlefest. I want that. (Maybe raising it vegetarian helps?)

It's actually really looked down upon to physically handle big cats after they are weaned, because they are not domesticated and they can easily kill a person even if they didn't intend to.

This just happened a couple hours ago.

>Making coffee in the kitchen
>Hear a dish clatter across the house, the kind of noise you often hear in legit horror movies
>Freeze up and look behind me
>Don't see anyone, and the dog hasn't started barking-she's usually very reliable for that
>Look out the kitchen window, the renters of the studio above the garage are gone
>No one else is in the house but me and the dog
>Call my dog thinking maybe she knocked something over
>She comes out of the room right next to the kitchen, which is NOT where the sound came from
>OHSHITOHFUCK
>grab the machete and go on a manhunt with the dog
>Check every nook and cranny, find absolutely nothing,

Never have I felt so safe to have a weapon in every room, and a 60 pound dog with a menacing bark. But fuck me if that didn't scare the shit out of me. She didn't bark when the dish dropped, so I wasn't -too- concerned, but still enough to check out every room.

I think the cup in the bathroom just fell over, but I really don't know what it was.

I'm going to be as brief as possible because I'm going to bed in 5 seconds but my sister had a budgie die a few years ago and since then we've both seen it flying around her apartment several times, usually at night when there is just barely enough light to make out shadows we see the unmistakable silhouette of a budgie flying across the room, though I also saw it once in the morning when there was plenty of sunlight coming through the windows

Oddly, while the original bird that died was solid yellow the ghost budgie I saw that morning was snowy white.

Hey /an/ I'm looking to purchase ONE giant African snail because having two poses too great of risk for breeding. The problem is I'm in the United States where GALS are quite illegal. How should I go about getting one? And please don't say "don't because they're illegal" I've really done my research and made up my mind, I only want one and I have no plans of ever letting it outside my house, any help?

Honestly, nobody is going to care if you get them.

Ferrets and hedgehogs are illegal, but people still get them.

Just don't be a retard and flaunt it in front of any F&G workers.

Along with phasmids, it isn't unheard of for fish and game to show up at your door for posting things like this online. They don't give a shit about a lot of animals, but these guys are not one of them.

You'd probably have to be lucky and just know someone though. These guys aren't in demand enough to have some weird black market or whatever really
>>
>>2244553
I thought most commonly kept phasmids were like, weird tropical species that can't survive in north america. Which ones have gotten invasive?
