Can job references tell your new employer if you have mental illness?
I signed up with a temp agency and they immediately put me up for a great job. All I have to do to get the job is have my references checked. I gave them 1 work reference and 1 educational reference (college) when I signed up.
On the phone they said I actually need a reference from my Uni, which I dropped out of (and they know I did but not for MI reasons), and without thinking gave them the name of the course tutor who dealt with my MI issues.
It just occurred to me - is she going to tell them that I left the course because of mental illness? Is she going to give me a bad reference because I dropped out of the course?

Being honesty might help advantages of a consideration. Or you can be rejected and claim discrimination of a mental impairment. Also unless you have had therapy too show recovery. They might not considerate it without knowing you have been helped to recover or have stability. Because they need to know you can handle what is expected in the job without another breakdown effecting the job you are about to do.

How long could I keep this up?
Anyone else tried this? Tips?
Other than wiping and rinsing my face, pits, crack, and genital area, I have not cleaned myself since the new year started.
I don't work out or get dirty otherwise, so there really isn't a need for a long, hot shower.
It gets really cold here and my skin can get so dry it becomes itchy and painful if I do. Taking cold showers would be awful, taking hot showers would be awful too. The showerhead pretty much leaves me with these two options. It is much better to just clean myself with lukewarm water from the sink.
I however realize that I would have to take showers every now and then, to scrub my skin and wash my hair more throroughly.
Question is, how often should I take showers?

Why can't I have a clean, smooth face like every other guy I know my age?
I'm just about 21 and I was my face 1-2 a day, exfoliate 2 times a week, and use a black head cleanser daily. I also keep a clean towel on my pillow before bed. But my face is still oily and bumpy.
What else can I possibly do? Why is it so easy for everyone else?

I had the same issue as you. I discovered what helped me when i was being a lazy fuck inbetweem jobs and no Gf at the time. my skin seemed to clear up when i was diety as fuk. This translated into how i keep clean skin today
- shower before going to bed so your pillow stays fresh. Just rijse your face with water for like 15 seconds. No rubbing no soaps.
- stop using hairgels. Style your hair with a blow dryer to keep you hair clean.
-never touch your face with you hands and keep the touching to a minimum.
-drink loads of water
- no fat junk food or sugar filled stoff like chocolate and soft drinks.
Ofcourse i eat the nad stuff now and then, but afyerwards i always pay with some bad skin. Hope this helps

My girlfriend's 8 years-old nephew is being bullied in school and the school does nothing or the minimum to stop the constant abuse he suffers.
First thought was "his parents must intervene" but they are divorced, he only lives with his mother, grandmother and his aunt (gf) and while his father is around he has little presence in his life.
I know the kid, he is innocent and means no harm to the world. And I know that constant abuse changes and traumatizes children (more if you consider that he doesn't have a paternal figure).
Things I know have happened to him:
>he hit his forehead because he was running from the bully
>gets his food stolen
>sometimes he arrives with bruises
>he got told that his parents would die if he told anyone of the abuse (what the flying fuck?)
I got bullied a lot when I was little but even the things that happened to me where mild compared to this shit, and it's only the things the kid has told to his aunt probably more has happened and we don't know.
Of course I want this to end but I'm still reluctant if I have to intervene when is really not something a third-party should be concerned of. But shit it makes me mad to think there is no one else helping him not even his own father. Should I approach this slowly? try to make inquire to check the situation? If I try to help the kid what should I do? I don't think I should incite him to respond with violence. Should I be doing this at all?

Ok here's my predicament /adv/ I'm 20 and was forced into 3 online college courses by my parents and I've got my first 2 assignments due tonight by midnight but I just can't find the strength to do them because I think college is pointless since literally every retard with half a brain can get a degree plus the obligatory $60k worth of debt here in America and I would rather do something else like go to a trade school but I know if I don't do my college assignments and drop out my parents will bitch at me because I'm not doing exactly what they want me to do.
