I've gotten over liking her since I leveled with her last Wednesday but I still felt awkward and frosty around her during the day of the class exam (term just ended, now I don't see her since its over). While we were talking about it and she said she wasn't interested in a relationship, she said she wouldn't mind being friends and that she liked me as one, but that she didn't want to get to know me just to date her, yada yaya. Well I feel the dynamic of my relation to her has been changed. It feels awkward to be around her and I don't want it to feel like I have lingering feelings for her that are the real reason for being her friend. I'm not that good with people in general.

They have the same sort of structure as a long joke;

Makes sense when you think about it. I remember reading in psychology today how they did a study of "creepy" things and found that an "ambiguity" of whether something is dangerous or not is what defines creepy.
With this in mind, I have also read that our ability to laugh was actually sign to let other apes know things are safe. It is theorised that monkeys would laugh, if say, they heard a rustling in some bushes, got scared, only to find out it was a bird, this would let others in the pack know that it's safe.
This seems to reflect that horror and humour may be to sides of the same coin, often coming first from a place of "ambiguity" of safety/danger...
So it stands to reason that a good horror story would be similar in structure to a good joke.

I hate my girlfriend. I can't stand the sound of her voice, the feel of her touching me, or even fucking seeing her. Even in my dreams, I scream at her to get her hands off me. Hi advice,
Where is a good place to look for a live-in housekeeper/au pair? Ideally this person would cook and clean in exchange for a comfortable, safe, and quiet place to live. And food of course. Maybe a small weekly allowance at the very most.
