Long day at work and fucking scraped my car on a pole leaving the parking garage.
I have insurance, so I called

Hey /adv/! Just got scalded by some nearly boiling water and its pretty painful
I've never been burned before, so anyone have any tips on what to do about it? I'm guessing it's not bad enough for a doctor, but I'm not really one to talk. I poured some lukewarm water over it and now I'm just hanging out next to a cool mist humidifier thing and trying to figure out what to do next
Does it look bad? What can I do to minimize scarring? How long might the burning last?

vitamin e oil for the scarring once it's healed
to minimize the scarring, don't let it scab while it heals
this means you've really gotta baby it
letting the wound dry out is when a scab will form
but
the wound needs to have air get to it so it can "breathe" in order to heal
so you gotta be attentive
if you really fried the fuck out of yourself it'll go white as it's healing and a layer of yellow smushy crud lookin stuff will form over it every couple days or so, slough this yellow crap off VERY GENTLY in the sink under cool running water, and re-dress the wound afterwards
it's a pain in the arse

This is a serious shot in the dark, but has anyone had experience working as an investment banker or on Wall street? I'm about to get my B.A. in economics and finance at an Ivy, and really do want to get involved. I've been doing a lot of networking, and I think it's gone well, but what really gets them? In 6 months from now, I will be graduating with a pretty low GPA (2.2) with an associates of Science from a local community college. I am worried about whether or not I will be able to transfer to a 4 year college. I do not qualify for the guaranteed transfer agreements, and my GPA is lower than the 2.5 recommended (when applying for transferring) for colleges near me.
I don't have money to retake classes to raise my GPA, and am tired of being at community college after having been here for around 3 1/2 years. I'm no longer eligible for loans or grants for a 2 year program (exceeded the credit maximum because I switched majors). Once I get into a 4 year program I can take loans and grants again.
My plan was to apply to 2 of my local colleges after I have my associates of Science to a program like English or History. I figured that this would be less competitive, and I could simply take my required classes (Comp Sci stuff) at the local college while under a different degree, to raise my GPA and officially switch degrees within the system.
Obviously there must be SOME college that will accept me, for SOMETHING but I cannot waste any more time. I would just spam applications to literally every college all over the country but there is the issue of application fees.
So, what do I do? Am I fucked or not?

You're fucked. My recommendation: go to a trade school and become a electrician, carpenter, mechanic, etc. Or go to a programming bootcamp to become a code monkey. Or if you're really fucked, join the military so they can pay off shit for you. You can get a job and pay isn't horrendous if you work your way up. I'm wondering if this is a viable plan.

What science degree though? Your GPA is already so low, it will be tough to raise it dramatically.
Keep in mind that you switching majors and taking unnecessary classes just to raise your GPA is just more money and time down the drain, and the benefit/opportunities in the end might not be worth it. A low GPA and a science degree can get you what....a lab tech job?
Like I said, do a trade (you can get training and get a job asap, work up) , go the military (you can get /fit/ and they pay off things for you i.e college), go to a coding bootcamp (if you don't mind computers). I honestly think you'd be better off doing that than a Science degree with a ~2.5-2.8 GPA.
And if you got such a low GPA in the first place, what makes you think you can excel in higher level science courses?

I've been two years with my GF, we started having heavy fights some months ago and the problem is that she's never had a father and her family does not care for her.

They broke up a while ago, pretty messy stuff, it was a toxic relationship. She lost all friends during the breakup process, but the truth is I never had anything against her.
I'm good friends with the guy, and they both seem to be pretty down about the breakup. I sent her a message asking how she was, and she told me that she'd love to meet up and talk with me, we already set up a date for next week.
Am I being shitty? Should I tell my friend about it? I don't want anything, just talk with her and desu if it somehow came to sex I'd do it gladly as she's hot, but no more than that.

If she doesn't complain of being fat like my gf, then you straight up tell her that you noticed she's gaining some weight and that she needs to steady on or she will get health complications or such other shit, basically come from a place of caring.
The last thing which is pretty terrible is when you're cuddling with her, grab the flab (stomach, thighs, hips) and give it a squeeze without saying anything, then keep doing it at random points in time, it'll make her concious of these areas.

I am 21 years old, and I am way shorter then I would like. I feel like I am too short. So much, to the point that it effects the way I think. It depresses me. This started when I was 14 and my family went to six flags. I was too short to ride most of anything there, and me in highschool... I felt awful...
