i believe on a scale of compatibility that beyond a certain point you're reaching a "top 1%" of relationship wealth. it is very rare, and constitutes what i consider "true love". soulmates, i do not.

nah. im agnostic but even i have a hard time believing in soul mates. some sense of destiny, sure, but why would it revolve around who we stick our dicks in?

Love is a chemical reaction in the brain. we have no real legal definition for it. this chemical reaction is the closest we have. it was designed for us to fuck long enough to make kids and stay together until they were old enough to care for themselves (young teens).

love is greater than the sum of its parts though. its created great acts of bravery, amazing works of art, and commitments that last longer than the love itself. it created you, even if your parents didn't love each other, somewhere down the family line, there was love.

but if destiny exists, it'd be really dumb for it to revolve around who you date. especially considering the state of romance.
