>Graduated college in 14
>Decided not to go to college because dream job was right around corner.
>Decided while it was in my dream career, this was not my dream job
>Decided to look for work in meantime, and found something in kitchen.
>Kept going to job interviews in my field but not getting hired.
>Took the time to apply to a bunch of things but they all have a processing wait.
>Its now almost 3 years out of college, not even a serious job and just shit retail/ food jobs are all I have had.

did I fuck myself by not taking that initial job? To be fair its not like I was actually hired or anything but I'm sometimes regretful of it. I am grateful that me making that choice resulted in be taking a shit ton more applications though. I just turned 25 and I want to end it all...Is it too late for me?

What would you do if you were 22 and kept increasingly forgetting everything?

Like watch an episode of a TV show and suddenly realize you can hardly remember anything past the last two scenes?

Something like when you can't focus on reading except you're not distracted - your mind is always blank.

I've began writing things down because I know I'll forget them in ten minutes.

A former coworker and I had this flirty thing going but when I confronted him about it he pretended nothing was going on and basically said he's not sure he can return my feelings.

I was really crushed but got over it. Then a few months later we ended up at a party where he got wasted and started touching me and flirting with me again. At the end of the night I ended up taking him home and we made out (he would have liked to take it further), him telling me he likes me and his parents who I met liked me. The next morning he was still grabbing me and being pretty open.
About a week or so later he came over for dinner and we got pretty hammered again and he told me all kinds of lovey-dovey shit, kissing me in the morning when he left.

The thing is that he denies all of it when confronted. When I asked him what we're doing he said he is attracted to me but "doesn't like me that much". He's a lot older so I have no reason to deny that he in fact doesn't like me that much but the shit he tells me says otherwise. At the same time he wants to keep "being friends".

Am I correct in assuming he will probably keep playing with my feelings cause he does have some sort of an attraction? Please help me make sense of it.

he wants to fuck you but he doesnt want to commit to any kind of relationship.
>>
>>17781708
He wants to have sex with you, but commitment free.

Sounds like you may develop the feels, so I would advise avoiding him.
>>
>>17781724
He doesn't even want to fuck though. Only that one time when he was really drunk. We just make out and he says these things to me he denies later.

I get that he doesn't want to commit but I wonder if he'll ever stop fucking with my feelings.

How do I learn to pronounce English properly? I'm 20 years old already, and I'm afraid it might be too late, since I've never properly learned to pronounce the th sound as a kid, so most of my life I pronounced the words with a th sound as f or d, dis, dat, dose, dese etc.

I learned to pronounce th properly like, 2 years ago maybe. Ever since I've been actively trying to pronounce my ths as ths, and not ds. But man, it's fucking hard to switch. It's easy if the word is at the beginning, then I don't have to make a mental effort to pronounce it as th, but if it's in the middle of the sentence, I will subconsciously pronounce it as d, only to realize it later.

It's way easier to remember to pronounce ths if I read, but when I speak, it doesn't come to my mind.

Note that I'm not a native speaker.

>Have GF of 2 months
>Things going okay
>We both have our own places
>I was staying at hers last night
>She smokes weed on weekends, I don't because I quit a year ago
>She had her dealer come to her place
>Already questioning why she has the dealer come to her house
>She says not to worry
>Dealer comes
>Shit seems fine, then he starts getting flirty because he doesn't know I'm around the corner in the kitchen
>She doesn't even tell him I'm there or that she has a boyfriend, she just tells him to calm down and sends him on his way

So I asked her why she didn't shut him down, and her response was "because he is my dealer, and I don't want him to bail on me in the future".

That seems incredibly fishy to me, and I was on the verge of dumping her right there on the spot. I'm back at my place now, and I'm seriously contemplating ending things, because I don't like where this was going, and the last time I trusted a girl I got burned in a similar fashion.

What do you think /adv/? Grounds for dumping or what? I got a really bad vibe from this.

Do you think she's cheating with him, or are you concerned things just might be heading in that direction, or is it just that you're not comfortable being with somebody who'd let a guy be flirty with her to get something out of him?

I was talking to a friendly stranger outside my liquor store. We flirted and soon the cops pulled up and arrested me. Apparently that man was a male prostitute, and I was charged with solicitation. I really don't want my husband to know about this!

Plead innocent. They can't charge you with jack shit if they didn't see money involved... It isn't illegal to talk to a prostitute.
>>
>>17781496
That's a pretty nice lie to tell to your husband, he'll probably eat it if he trusts you. It's not a generic story so he will believe you would've used a different one if you wanted to lie.

Go ahead and tell him "the truth", and ask for emotional support.

Is there a nice 4chan equivalent for people who want to get motivated and get their life on track/ keep going?
It could be a board where you get motivated, where people actually post their progress and provide their experience and tips for other people to follow.
It'd provide info and help with lots of shit, from skin care and general appearance, to love life help, fit, career and mental health help as well, but in a more positive and condensed state (as opposed to 4chan's division of boards, which allows for more diverse shit posting).

I guess I'm asking if there's some sort of life-tutor board/forum, where you continuously get feedback on how you're doing in life and what you can do to improve it.
I need clarity in life, man.

Just got out of a 3 year relationship. and I feel so used. she was all I ever loved. I learnt that love is not for me.

for the longest time I wanted to buy a guitar. Now more than ever.

just a nice acoustic one for starters. but I know next to nothing about guitars other than they sound great so I dont want to buy the wrong one

any good models out there?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Buy a Yamaha new or something. They're good starters. Or check craigslist for a used professional model you like. Don't spend $1500 on your first guitar, you don't know how much you'll use it. Otherwise, learn tabs of songs you wanna learn, use the free resources online to learn what you wanna learn. Then, after a year or so if you're dedicated, you've played enough to feel comfortable jamming/generally fucking around. Have fun. Don't spend more than $200 or $300 on your first guitar.
>>
And if you're wanting to learn so you can play out your emotions and let off steam, or whatever, you might get past not wanting love from anyone else. To be fair, I still play and write for the love of my life, even though she doesn't care. But being depressed and schizophrenic with a slew of other mental health problems feeding off of each other, jamming really does take some weight off of my chest. Maybe it'll help you too.

Hey, I have a Fender electro-acoustic (http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Fender-CD-60CE-All-Mahogany-Dreadnought-Electro-Acoustic-Guitar/QMA), it sounds really really good playing it acoustically or through an amp. This is the a simple acoustic (https://www.andertons.co.uk/p/0961596021/steel-string-acoustic-guitars/fender-cd-60-mahogany-acoustic-guitar) if this is more in your price range.

When buying a guitar, don't go cheap early and think you'll move to a better one later on. It's much harder to learn on a cheap guitar (as you can imagine), and once you start getting better you will appreciate the sound a more expensive one makes.

Ask any questions if you have them.

Every time a guy asks me if I'm on the pill it turns me off so much because it's like they're complete idiots who would risk pregnancy/STIs with a girl by believing her when she says she's on the pill (I could be fucking lying).

Not even asking me for STD test results, or providing some themselves

Last night I met a woman from a dating site for the first time. We're both in out late 20's.

Even though she picked the time, she informed me that she had to work early the next morning and couldn't stay out late. We ended up meeting a little earlier, at my suggestion because I've done shift work and sympathize. She said that was nice through text.

There were some awkward pauses in conversation, but that's to be expected the first time people meet. We have a fair number of common interests and share a similar world view.

As we were leaving I asked her if she wanted to meet up again. She seemed kind of hesitant, but said sure. Before we parted ways, she asked me to contact her at the beginning of the week to set something up. I mentioned the plans we made a few minutes earlier. She kind of nodded and looked in the other direction before leaving.

I texted her to see if she'd made it home okay. She said she had and asked me the same. I responded with a reference to a joke we'd made earlier. To which she replied, "haha, good!" I'm now realizing I didn't take the opportunity to say good night. Oh well...

Anyway I'm debating whether to text her today and see if she still wants to meet up, but don't want to come off as too eager. We share common interests and part of her disengagement might be her laid back personality, fatigue from work and nervousness about the upcoming busy season.

Nonetheless I don't want to waste my time if she's not interested.

What should I do?

As a backstory, she took awhile to message me back on the site. In her defense, I had said in my first message that I wouldn't want to meet for a few weeks. We messaged back and forth for awhile, sometimes not responding to each other for a few days to a week. I invited her to a free comedy show. She responded a few days after the show that she had been busy, offered me her number and asked me if I wanted to meetup that weekend.

You're in your late 20's OP and you're not a teenager anymore. It's completely fine to be assertive and pursue it if you are interested in her. Why waste your time on it otherwise?

Just text her and see what she replies, as long as you don't drown her in messages you should be fine.
>>
>>17781357
I am interested in her. I'm mainly debating whether to text her today or tomorrow. Waiting a day sounds reasonable. Both of us are a bit introverted. I don't want to overwhelm her with social interaction or force her to make a decision when she seems hesitant about it.
>>
>>17781337

I'm 28, just got out of a 5 year relationship so I'm alittle rusty when it comes to picking up girls.

I'm truly lost to be honest with you guys. I've tried internet dating but no girl appealed to me, they were all the same, no hobbies other than netflix and craft beer.

I'm already focusing on making money and perfecting myself, hoping to go to Japan after summer or finish my car and drive to California

But at the same time, I'd like to find someone I can click with, someone one that has a creative hobby like knitting or painting, or cooking, just anything in general. Where would I go about finding this person?

I'm not ugly at all, in better shape than guys 10 years my junior, have a car, and make enough to live comfortably and save alittle on the side so I'm no slouch.

Use a site like meetup to find activities in your area.

Source: I work in events and I meet a ton of interesting women.
>>
>>17781299

for the most part all you can do is 'keep on keeping on'. there is very little in the way of short cuts. perhaps the biggest problem is that you are actively trying to find someone to click with. it kinda messes up your approach to things.

you'll notice that in real life there is chemistry, online, not so much. in real life there is a chase. online its more like a logic puzzle, 'does this match? does that match? theni guess were a match...' but then you meet and you're not a match.

>>17781351

this is the advice I usually give.
>>
Good thing you didn't skip leg day, otherwise with your build you'd look downright strange.

Anyways, don't bother with online dating. Its just a waste of time, and you're right 90% of girls on there put "craft beer and netflix" as their hobbies or what they like to do on a friday night.

My best advice is literally to just keep doing what you're doing. You're bound to run into someone who you genuinely click with and isn't some loser that just watches netflix in their free time. No need to force these things.

get a roommate. I make $12/hr in Canada and I can't afford shit.
>>
>>17781279
That is enough in most American cities (save for perhaps LA or NY, you would really be living paycheck to paycheck) if you have a roommate, or 2. Try getting a job in the service industry at a bar or a restaurant downtown.

I make $12/hr and work about 40 hours a week, but I also get tips so I end up making something like $25k/yr, which is plenty to afford my place with my roommate just outside of downtown.
>>
it'd go further if you didn't live in the city, assuming you are trying to given the price

How do I get the motivation to study?

I come back home from college, I sit in front of my laptop and browse shit. I've got shit loads of work to study and prepare but all I feel is no drive and no motivation at all.

I also don't use my mobile because it broke and I'm waiting on a new one.

Me too. Even if I get myself to work, a simple task that would take an hour at most takes from 2 to 3 hours.
It seems that I get tired quicker than the others, and it doesn't concern motivation problems. I've tried to push myself to learn for at least a week, in reality I was exhausted both physically and mentally on Thursday and couldn't do shit on Friday and Saturday.
>>
>>17781138
Motivation comes from goal.

Studying in itself is not a goal, nor is passing exams, nor college degrees. But the goal is rather set around what you want to do with your life. Do you want to live comfortably with large amount of money? Then study a field of interest and get degrees, that will allow you to get into workforce that gets you to your goal.

If your goal is simply to be a neet, why would you even give a fuck about studying?

Our neighbor came over to visit my wife. I had some stomach ache and gas lately, so for a prank I jumped up from behind where she was sitting, put a blanket over her hed with me inside it and farted a wet nuclear one. While she screamed I held her firm under the blanket and yelled "how do you like them apples".

Now she is threathening to have me charged with assault and get a restraining order and also my wife says Im an idiot and is angry with me.
