What helped me out a great deal, was that I started hitting the gym 6 days a week. I am a lot better, though I do think of her and love her.

Most musicians, even the good ones, are poor, and have day jobs. If you got a high-paying job and donated reasonably-unreasonable amounts to the Patreons of starving artists, you'd probably end up causing the creation of a lot more music than the average musician.

Alternatively: you can still try for being an unusually good music appreciator, and having that be useful. That might mean picking/commissioning exactly the right background music for the apps you make, or recommending exactly the right music for exactly the right person at exactly the right time. Not sure if that helps, but it's a thing you can do.

Or . . . you could try making music without playing instruments. You can just compose music, arrange sound effects and let computers play the result. I wish I could give you more details, but I'm not a music person myself.

Nah, I have no excuse you're right. I've already had two people in my family try to chase very similar dreams (brother wanted to be an actor, sister wanted to be an artist) and fail miserably, I don't want to end up like them.
