most pump action 12 gauges are pretty standard, 20 gauge if you don't have meat on your bones.

Is that your budget with scope? Or without?
Either way buy a savage model 10

either

you can get remshit's pretty cheap and scoped for way less than that. i'd spring for a base model savage and a decent optic. you can get a tikka for around $600, good luck finding a good optic that will fit your budget though.

Worstkoreafag here looking to purchase a gas mask (APR).

I've narrowed it down to the american MSA UltraElite and the german Dräger CDR4500.

Both cost about the same (MSA is slightly pricier) and both have CBRN certification. I'm probably going to get an Airboss canister for them, but before that I need to invest in a rubber mask that will even let the can do its job.

Anyone here have opinions on either brands? I'm of course going to get them off ebay for about $70 and $50, respectively.

And this is the filter can i'm going to get off ebay as well, for $50 each and with a long shelf life. CBRN Cap1 certified and the company's instruction manual says it has a 10-year(!) shelf life, so on ebay these things still have like 5 years left on em.

It depends where you are. In some places even owning that knife is illegal because it's double-edged. In some places, you are not allowed to carry it concealed. In some places, you are not allowed to carry it openly. In some places, you are not allowed to carry fixed blades (or even knives in general) at all. Be more specific.

Civil disorder in the US and you live in a major metropolitan area. Shit is going down and you decide that the best thing for your family is to get the fuck out.

How do you get you and your family out of the country? Any method.

When my wife and I have a kid or two they're going to learn how to be safe around guns as soon as they understand words.
Safety comes first and learning to shoot comes when they can hold the gun on their own or when they want to learn with help.

Do shotguns REALLY have a place in the modern age? its kind of a barbaric weapon

i mean, why not just get an ar 15? cheap and much more versatile

we're talking pure autismal practicality here not preferences, obviously those vary

Shotguns with breaching shells are great for making entry. Pretty lightweight for a breaching tool.

WWI German GTFO. Also, shotguns have a variety of loads that make it a good utilitarian tool for many uses.

Hunting: Loads for shooting birds and varmints to taking on bear and bucks.

Military/Police: Less lethal loads for crowd control and neutralizing single targets without killing them. Loads for breaching doors and busting up walls. #4 or 00 Buck for Close Quarter (up to 50 yards) combat.

They serve as tools more than anything.
>>
>Barbaric
Anything can be made out to be barbaric.

>Pure autismal practicality
Shotguns are superior for duck, waterfowl, and most other things that fly. As well as trap shooting.

They're also better for turkey. Easier to get a hit without ruining the meat, because they're dense little fuckers.

Cheaper than building an AR in .50 Beowulf or the like if you want to shoot big fuckoff slugs at things.

They are also, in some areas, the only weapon you can take most game with with - or there are shotgun only seasons. So legally, they're mandatory.

Also cheaper than your barebones AR if you want long gun lethality in home defense. Yes "MUH MAG CAPACITY MUH WOUND VECTORS MUH ATTACHMENTS MUH HANDLING" still applies, and ARs are undoubtedly superior for the job. But shotguns are still "good enough", and are cheaper for those on a budget.

>BUT IF YOU WOULDN'T SAVE UP ANOTHER COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS TO BUY AN AR THEN YOU DON'T VALUE YOUR LIFE SELL YOUR GUNS YOU SHOULDN'T OWN THEM
Neck yourself.

Why do autists get butthurt when you say that swords made with modern industrial techniques are superior to handforged sword?

I've never owned an industrially made sword that was worth a damn. Not to say that you couldn't manufacture a good blade out of modern materials using modern processes, just that no one does.

To answer your question, though, I think it has to do with the very real overlap between the sword community and the fantasy/weeaboo community. Nerds want to believe that all swordsmiths are 1000 year old Japanese wizards living on top of a misty mountain somewhere in New Zealand and sperg out when you break their immersion.
>>
>>34977792
Cold Steel swords aren't too bad for the price. The autists are just butthurt that the super duper original sword they spent thousands on isn't that much better than a cheaper one

>go to Barnes and Noble
>head over to the WWII section
>try to find books on German militaria
>every single book is about the holocaust
>even books about the wehrmacht were focused on their "war crimes"

I just want to read objective historical information about German weapons, vehicles and strategy without all the "oyy vey" squeezed into every other chapter.

Any good recommendations?

Ballatine series is a decent plce to start. Short 150 page books dedicated to one subject. Written in the 1970's by based English historians who are pretty fair. They don't take about activities unless the book is dealing with participants in the holocaust.
