Just saw this movie "Bushwick" pop up online. Texas secedes and attacks NY for bargaining leverage. How have I not heard of this before? It sounds like some SJW wet dream where NY and NY'ers are actually important. The description doesn't list it as a comedy but I'm imagining a bunch of pajama boys, fat lesbians and mexican cooks trying to fend off all the military hardware that currently resided in the borders of TX. Downloading now will report after I've watched it.

I recently learned that the reason Glocks are designed to pig nose is so that they can fit in an eye socket.
I've only found some examples of this being trained though.

I would assume that it's best with the slide locked back so the barrel stabs a little while the frame scoops.

I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you so much to all of you guys. You guys helped me be the gun lover and appreciater that I am today. Despite the fact I spent my summers in middle school making slam fire pipe shotguns and homemade sound bombs. My first real gun I asked for was the hex receiver moist nugget. You guys inspired me to be the outdoor lover that I am. I hope that we cling on to the dying board culture and hopefully give others a sense of community and belonging. Which I lacked growing up, you guys are the best. I love you guys. You guys are doing God's work. I'll see some of you at the nugget fest hopefully this year.

No, the US needs to build something bigger, better.

So start with pic related, adding a pair of carrier-style bows and a pair of Ford-class powerplants with 8+ azipods for distributed power/steering redundancy and a 30+kt flank speed. Armor it like a Nimitz/Ford and fit it with enough redundant watertight compartments that it could eat a pair of Akulas' worth of conventional torps and still float.

Next, fit it out with a 360° AESA setup with antennas the size of a Pave PAWS, probably powered by its own small reactor, and a navalized version of the Ground Based Interceptor so it can carry out midcourse intercepts of DF-21's and Bulava's from halfway across the Pacific with its own exoatmospheric kinetic kill vehicles. 48 Trident tubes should be enough for long-range engagement of surface targets. Next, load it with as many VLS cells as an arsenal ship or three so that it can spam 100's TSSM's or SM2/3's at whatever gets through (or the entire PLAAF, for that matter) like something out of Macross. Add in 4 turrets of Iowa-style triple-mount railguns for shore bombardment, point defense, and close-in engagement of surface targets. For a CIWS, use a navalized version of the YAL-1's laser system, with 4-8 emitters for maximum redundancy.

Now, add a Wasp class-sized flight deck (because you honestly still have the space for one) for limited amphibious assault/full-on ASW capability, and add a complement of 40-70 F-35B's as well because all that leftover interior volume won't fill itself, and their ability to remote-cue the contents of its 1500+ VLS cells will do wonders to reduce workload in the CIC, which by now probably resembles NASA mission control.

Now you have it, the seagoing equivalent of a Super Star Destroyer, a surface combatant that will displace >200k tons and will probably cost you $30-50 billion to procure, but will also be able to simultaneously engage the entire Chinese fleet singlehandedly and have a solid chance of winning.
