Are their handguns worth buying over others like Glock or H&K?
I've allways been interested in their (hand) guns, but i sadly never got to shoot one.

>Ron Cohen
jews ruined it; buy glock or hk
You'd be better of throwing it a bad guy rather than trying to shoot him with it.

I have a 9mm 226 and a 229 357sig. They are both awesome. Super over priced but really nice guns. Comfortable, solid, beautiful looking. But they like lube or you'll see wear on the rails fast. My usp is awesome and seems like it doesn't need lube almost at all, but its not as ergonomic. Probably prefer the sigs a cunt hair more.
So what's /k/'s consensus on the 6.5 Creed? I'm looking at getting another hunting rifle.
I've been running around with the 7mm Rem mag, and it's a bit too much for my needs. It'll end up being my elk gun.

>let's make a short action .243 that shoots as flat as .300 Win Mag long range without all the recoil
>Hey this actually works pretty well
It's not a bad round for what it is, just use match bullets for match and bonded bullets like Federal Fusion for hunting.

I was looking at the American Whitetail series of ammo. Works well in every rifle I've tried. Thanks

>wood is better then synthetic
Depends only on your definition of "better"
Synthetic is shit if you want your rifle to look fancy in order to impress the president of Liberia
Wood is shit if you want to tactically operate in a jungle of Liberia for 6 years
>>34973836
I bet the people who are operating in the Liberian jungle right this minute have wood furniture on their AKs.

Why does my gun keep jamming?
>Because you gotta clean it
Dumbass then was looking a saiga12
Did I fuck up buying this? It's my first rifle.
>>34973569
That scope is probably never going to hold zero, but you did fine. The SKS is a pretty great rifle by any account.
How much did you pay?
>>34973569
Looks pretty bastardized but it will be a fun shooter that you dont have to be too careful with. Hows mine look?
Yes. Don't ever buy anything these larping weaboo fags say is good.
I recently found out about the Henry long ranger rifle, which is a 308 lever action with a detachable magazine, I thought it would be awesome if they would make a 308 lever action that accepts M14 mags or even SR25 mags
>>34973537
I don't know about the Long Ranger, but most lever guns have too long of a lever throw for long detachable mags. That's why Savage 99s, and I assume Henry Long Rangers, have flush fit mags.
>>34973581
Maybe they could found a way to shorten the lever throw in order to not hit the mag, or even extend the receiver
>>34973627
caliber change to 7.62x39 and use ak mags.
Hell the hell did this not get phased out during decades and with multiple new rifle variants? Why did M4s and M16A4s continue to use a widely disliked grip instead of something more universally liked?
>>34973493
because it pisses you off
>>34973493
I like it. A lot of people do.
The only people who don't are spergs and LARPers.
There's a technique to using this grip that helps with handling the rifle, where you bunch up your fingers against the trigger guard and push your ring (NOT middle) finger against the shelf for support.

I have a serious question, /k/
I would like to know if surveillance aircraft are commonly used for surveillance of civilian assets.
I am asking this, because the majority of the time i am going outdoor for a walk, within ten minutes, i spot white aircraft jets, at my zenith, at least 3000 feet above. They are quite stealthy in terms of noise.
I dont think i am getting paranoid since i checked the local airports SID/STARs and the vectors of the aircrafts i spotted do not make sense.
Another possibility is that i am getting psychotic and that i am having hallucinations. That would be cause for worry too.
FYI, i live in the suburbs of a big city.
Next time, i am planning to go outside with a zoom/telephoto lens camera to spot these aircraft and submit the pictures there.
What do you think, /k/ ?
>>34973280
OP here.
Would like to add that they are no less than 3000 feet but NO MORE than 4000 ~ 5000 feet above too. So you do not think that i am spotting random civilian traffic.
Coul you recommend too a good but cheap transponder receiving solution ? maybe SDR based ?
Honestly OP, with your paranoia in this late of a stage you should do the follow.
Take a large dose of acid, smoke some weed, then hide in a closet and yell for Jeff.
>>34973280
I see those at the airport from time to time, but mostly the King Airs. They are just on the way to the training range. Air surveillance used on civilians will be a Cessna 206. They will have a optical turret mounted low on the side of the airplane. Also, some have a cell phone tower built in. They use those to track criminals by their cell phone. By having the cell tower in the airplane they don't need a warrant. They don't listen, just get a ping on your phone. A lot safer and easier then trailing with a car.
I'm currently going through the hiring process with a well known PMC, and I was just curious if any other contractors frequent the board. I'm looking for simple day to day type stuff, what's the chow like, living conditions, how's your contract etc. As always, OPSEC
>>34973120
Depends where you are, what kind of job you will do
I'm thinking of the same. Oddly enough I got a call from a PMC company when I was done with my service.
>>34973316
I'm in the pipeline for a close protection type gig, high threat environment etc. The client is a government agency. I'm hoping living conditions will be good, but tbqh for the amount of money they are paying me I'll live in a hole in the ground...wouldn't be the first time kek.
I got a machete to sell coconuts and I have a few questions:
The wood handle has no varnish, is this going to cause some problems in the future?
The blade is made of stainless steel, but I only use it Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the tourist season. Should I put some type of oil in it to avoid rust?
Thank you very much.
>>34972982
>The wood handle has no varnish, is this going to cause some problems in the future?
no and if it does spend an extra 5 bucks on a new one
oil it if you feel like it but use a food safe oil like cooking oil
Throw it in saltwater during the off-season, and it'll stain the wood while staving away rust.
Is fine. When that one wears out throw it away and get a new one.
Just finished watching the pacific and was bretty gud so I am looking for a new show or movie. Any recommendations? I prefer wwi, wwii, or vietnam but anything good is fine.
Also general /k/ related movies discussion.
I watched 9th Company the other night. Is pretty good, basically Russia's Full Metal Jacket.

I currently have a Sig P229 DAO in .40 S&W in a holster attached to the armor that sits by my bed. It's intended as a backup to an AR15 for home defense purposes. The only other handguns with night sights that I own are a pair of Colt 1911s. Either of the 1911s has a superior trigger to the Sig but I'd be giving up four rounds of magazine capacity were I to make the switch. I can shoot the Sig effectively despite the DAO trigger but this would apply more so with the 1911 trigger. I have four magazines for the Sig either in the gun or on the armor and would likewise have four to six for the 1911. I have fourteen magazines for the AR either in the gun or on the armor, so the pistol is truly a backup weapon.
Is there an obvious choice of pistol here between the .40 Sig and the .45 1911? A third option is to get a trigger kit for the Sig. Or am I just as crazy as typing all of this out makes me look?
>MP40 repro shoots bigger bullets than STG44 repro
In what universe is this acceptable
