Is this shit?
Yup.
>>2951387
cool
absolutely.
Hey /oil/, what do you think of this guy's instruction?
I like his teaching style. Straight forward and no bullshit. I'm more of a digital painter though so I don't know enough of the specifics around oil as a medium to be able to judge.

Seems pretty egotistical and can't into expressive painting. Does a demo of a still life from a photo too which is retarded. And he couldn't even draw it properly.
>>2950884
Bar the colors, nothing else seems right. I don't really feel like watching his video.
He taught me to mix color, that's all I got from him
Hey, /ic/. Let's do a collaborative comic. You know how this works, use the previous page's last panel as a springboard but take it in whatever direction you want to go. It's Friday night and you're on /ic/, what else do you have to do?
>>2950016
Dude, you made me spit out my coffee.

Felix Colgrave is one of the better people that does that style of animation but it's crazy how many people are obsessing over this. Then again the independent animation scene is filled with shitty video game parodies, and depressing Cal Arts shorts, it must feel like something new to them when someone expresses their stream of consciousness in animation despite that being the origin of the animated film.
Good tumblr-noses arts ?
>>2913070
There is none.
>>2913070
the fuck is a tumblr nose anyway
i see the nose in the op and just kinda see a bad looking symbol for a nose
>>2913130
I think Tumblr noses are basically symbol noses that are always red/pink/flushed
Can someone tell me who's the artist of this pic?

The pic isn't mine, a friend showed it to me and I would like to know the artist

Pick something simple
Roll with it
I got my screen name from an forum signature fad that went around a Pokemon chat group I hung with on Neopets when I was 10. Pick a nickname or something you associate yourself with, it can be silly, it really doesn't matter as long as it doesn't have any copyrighted words in it (ie. Purplekecleon). Maybe just make a name up, use the name of your favorite anime character, or whatever. Just make sure it's easily spellable and you'll be golden.

Might be taken already, no guarantee!
Even HN knows neuroplasticity is at it's prime during youth.
You are absolutely NGMI.

>>2951368
Speak for yourself, my mom just gave birth to me yesterday so I've got literally DECADES of neuroplasticity left unlike 94% of /ic/ lol!
>>2951368
As long as you aren't older than 25 as 90% of /ic/ is then you have a chance of GMI.
Confirmed for not reading a single paper on Neuroplasticity
Heck they fucking named it "Neuroplasticity" after finding out the brain is like plastic and how it keeps developing, learning and gaining new skills at an older age, even after "unrecoverable" damage has been done to it. It recovers itself every single moment, it edits itself every second. Practice makes perfect is no bullshit, it's literally what the brain does. It needs repetition.
This "you gotta be younger than 25-year-old" shit is retardation. People live with half brains and still function normally.
The only truth is that learning younger is usually faster (for languages for example), but that doesn't mean you can't learn at all. You can keep making excuses for your inability, those are just excuses.
Relatively new at painting wood and using acrylics, but I am trying to work on style the most. Help!

Nice cute stuff
I would like to present to you all my first video. My wonderful, beautiful, terrible first video, which was essentially just a stream of thought thrown together. Be cruel, be kind, be whatever and I'll thank you either way.

Thanks OP, now that I know there are worse arists than myself I can happily stop improving and feel better about wasting my time on /ic/
yo dudes, I'm trying to better my character design abilities. For this particular guy, he is meant to be the lead in a graphic novel. I needed something humanoid that could also run on four legs (kind of Nico Marlet style).
Looks nice to me, a bit like Toothless from How to train your dragon.
>>2944196
Looks like a mix between a sergal and Toothless from how to train your dragon
>>2944196
It's an interesting design, if not a little basic, although that's probably a good thing if you're doing a graphic novel since it can be consistently drawn through without much hassle.
I'd say that you should really think about the character itself, like their personality, role in the story, race etc. Since it looks animalistic, perhaps you could look at some real life creatures as inspiration
/ic/, what should I do in regards to this drawing of this woman? I'm afraid she looks shitty and stiff (which she does). Give me suggestions. Keep in mind that I'm trying to stretch her out, though.
Beginner here, but I'll try.
You should try sketching the volumes of the various body parts before drawing them.
The ribcage is flat, the shoulders are attached weirdly. You basically didn't draw the neck.
There's no difference in size between the torso, the waist and the hips. The leg on the left should be partially covered by the other one. The planes of the head aren't defined.
The feet are too short and they have to shape at all. The breasts are too high, the arms are too thin.
You should work on your lines, too.
tl; dr: the thread for beginners is HERE >>2949787, don't make threads for a single drawing. Read the sticky and the page linked in the first /beg/ post.
If you are a /beg/inner in art, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the drawthread with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new (and cleaner) sticky in town! You can see it at:

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
