I've kinda thinking of picking up NeoGeo Pocket and some games, is there any source on them besides wikipedia and google? How are the options for modding them(mainly interested in having some sort of light), retrorgb mentions the colour version is frontlight only? How is display quality in general and do buttons/speakers/screen die easily on you?

according to razoola, it's litteraly perfect. Only MSX needs a patched rom because MSX protection is still unknown.

Yes it is.

Kinda sad though, that only a handful of people like it, to the point where the Tenchu threads never seem to survive without constant love and care.

I'm waiting on my new controller to properly emulate Tenchu 2.
It's been a while since I played it. 15 years or so.

I don't know what happened with Tenchu. It seems it had some success in Ps1, after that everyone stoped giving a fuck and critics despised every new game in the franchise. To me it still was extremely cool and the Ps2 games were great.

What are your thoughts on the original Legend of Zelda?

Also, I noticed that the lighting in this dungeon is different from the others. What was the intention here? To make it seem brighter? Look at Link's coloration.

>>
As for the lighting, I have no idea.

The action itself is decent, but stuff in shops costs way too much. Also, it's a guide-game. Completing the game without any sort of outside information whatsoever is not my idea of a good time.

My thoughts? I want to play it.

Time to boot up Animal Crossing again. I still have the NES game in it.

Played through the whole thing a couple years ago, was a lot of fun.

Very easy to get lost though.

Hey guys,

I'm looking for an English speaking iso of the obscure 90's game "Strawberry Magic". It was published by "Scops", a company that apparently went bust in 1997, I can find nothing else on them. The few online threads also relating to the game end with a Swedish iso and a direct download in Hebrew.

I used to play it as a kid and had little to no fucking clue what was happening. It all seemed so normal back then, in the days of primitive 3D modelling. But looking back now it was THE most trippy game, with some creepy as fuck dialogue.

Any of you dudes have an idea?

I dunno senpai, it costs $50, for that price I could just get a genuine n64 controller and a PC adapter off of ebay

I guess i could buy games off the virtual console but it's pretty limited in terms of selection.

Should i continue to emulate or could i actually get into trouble by downloading this stuff off of emuparadise and websites like that?

Just fucking emulate
Christ

Get a proxy if you're really worried, but there are like three different law loopholes (depending on where you live) that prevent you from getting in trouble over shit like this. Not that any company actually cares about you pirating retro games. They literally sell rips to people.
>>
Pirating these old games shouldn't really be a moral issue. These games were never made with emulated re-releases in mind, and if the alternative is to buy a used cartridge on eBay then no money is going to the copyright owners or game creators anyway.
>>
Considering how rampant piracy on modern consoles is and seemingly nothing comes out of it, you'll be fine.

The real trouble is when you distribute or sell roms.
Or if the police break into your house and search your computer for unrelated reasons.

If a game you want is on the virtual console, do buy that. Don't be one of those "lol why buy something you can get for free?"

>i also like physical media in general like blu ray or DVD
Yeah, that's nice. I'm not a huge collector, but I'm at the point where my gaming shit begins to feel like a burden. I'm considering switching to digital. No more guilt for ignoring most of my games for years and years.

Found this recently on sale at Toys R Us for $25 bucks. For the price it's actually pretty decent. Battery last for about 6 hours, offers game saving on Phantasy star 2 and 3, buttons are spaced far enough apart, screen big enough, let's you but ROMs on SD card. Down side is it sounds like it is filtered through Satan's asshole, and games on SD card will not save. Considering I never play games with portable consoles it's over all very good. Has anyone tried there new Atari handheld I would pick one up if I could find it on sale.
