The slider thumb thing is literally just a piece of plastic that only activates the four direction buttons. Its like putting grease on your d-pad so your thump can slide from left to right faster.

I know it's not exactly retro related but will any developer like Bioware or Telltale ever step up and give us one last adventure for the crew of the Enterprise-D before the cast starts dying off? Heck, they could even have it take place during the later seasons of TNG so they have an excuse to bring in DS9 & its cast too. but not the cast of Voyager, fuck that shitty show except maybe Robert Picardo - he's alright. If this Unreal recreation of the Enterprise-D was made into a real game I would literally cry with joy...

Star Trek 25th Anniversary. You have to know a bit about chemistry and math to beat it, which is perhaps a bit unfair, but it's a great game that emulates the first series pretty much perfectly.
