What happens if you have no rupees?

Haven't played this game and I'm wondering what's the best way to play it?
There's the version for the DS, which has new features.
And there's the PS1 version, which has new animated scenes in between game play.
Which route should I go?
Also, I don't have a CRT at the moment.
SNES a best.
The PS1 version has new cutscenes but horrible loading times. However I think it has multi-player if you care about that.
The NDS version has the PS1's cutscenes plus new content and no loading times. That is generally considered the best.
However, a lot of fans reacted negatively to the new content and felt it was unnecessary, so you could also just play the original which holds up very well.
How can i easily play good ol' doom in coop mode with my friends ?

>>3614497

>FM Synth on SNES doesn't exi-
>>3614381
snes uses sampled muffled midi farts to produce audio.

Do they record the farts from the Mega Drive?
I guess muffled fart is better than raw fart.
How were the Alone in the Dark sequels?
>>3614112
I'd say New Nightmare is probably the best of the sequels, or at least I'd say to try it out first. Granted, it's more actiony, which might turn you off.
>>3614119
this game is more like resident evil than any of the first 3 games
Avoid the sequel which they tried to make an action shooter out of it. Third game is a really good entry though.
I bought a JP Sega Saturn but it doesn't come with any cables, Now what I am wondering is: Could I use an American Nema cable or do I have to get one of those Japanese cables that look very similar? I have a voltage converter that converts to European current.
Both JP and US Saturn use 110v, not sure how's in Europe. I'm from Latin America and I use a 220v converter.
>>3614065
I know, but what I'm wondering is if the cable going to the converter would make any difference?
Somebody has too know
>install new 1080p projector
>lightning fast response times, amazing image
>2D games with RGB mod look incredible, even with cheap HDMI/RGB converter, even better with Framemeister
>N64 looks like absolute smeared dogshit
Why the fuck does the N64 have anti-aliasing.
what
>>3613986
I have to agree with you, I'd much rather have more aliasing than the shitty AA it comes with.
>>3613986
I can feel the neck pain, man I wish my VB eyes worked
In your opinion, who is the ultimate /vr/ semen demon?
>>3613968
/thread
I mean, yeah.
I like Lilith better, though.
>>3613968
Post your backlog of retro games in a strawpoll and have /vr/ decide which you should play first.

Anyone else?

Lets see how it goes.
wat
How'd I do /vr? Not too bad huh? Sure it's a "meh" port but it's definitely worth a dollar!pls validate me ;_;
I've bought shittier games than that just because they were a dollar. The Addams Family on Game Boy is the most recent example.
I bought an as-is N64 from a pawn shop for $10. It didn't have any cords, but it works no problem. It just needs a bit of cleaning.
>>3613481
A dollar for a boxed Genesis game is always worth it, even for a sports game.
>>3613547
>a dollar for a boxed gen game is worth it
Agreed. I would of probably paid $5 for a boxed Thunder Blade tBh. I find that these "Play 'n' Trade" franchises have the oddest pricings. Most things are overpriced to grossly overpriced(saw a used Other M game for $35) while sometimes you find deals(mostly obscure games) cheaper then you could anywhere else.
Does nobody manufacture this kinds of joysticks in a modern interface anymore? Would plugging one trough an adapter to a modern computer even work?
I know they were more of a compromise than anything else, and that arcade sticks are basically better in every way, but those are also hella expensive, and for 2 or more player games they're a bit of a pain to set up. Besides this old joysticks were pretty comfy if they were of good quality.
And also I think the most similar things nowadays are flight sticks, but I don't think you'll want to risk an expensive and sensible flight stick playing a fighting game or something.
>>3613340
Flight sticks are nothing like digital joysticks. Even gamepads with a +button or similar are closer.
There were USB versions of the Competition Pro but they're out of stock everywhere.
>Would plugging one trough an adapter to a modern computer even work?
As long as you get the correct adapter.
Most joysticks used the Atari style DB-9 connector. IBM compatible computers also used DB-9 for the serial port but it has a different pinout and shouldn't be compatible.
arcade stick pc
For 3$ on the US store right now
Never played
Should i?
>>3613302
Why not download the ISO and emulate it first to decide if you like it or not because 3 dollars is a lot of money.
You'll probably drop it fast. Mark my words.
>>3613302
dont do it, use the 3 bucks for something else, not kidding
and like the other anon said, if youre really curious to test it out, just download an iso and you'll see. try and if you like it really buy it, but i doubt it too
So we all had video game rumors that we discussed with our friends when we were kids, whether it was the mew under the truck thing, or a special super secret pathway no one knew about or what have you
What I want to know is the rumors that were specific to you and your buds, or even just lesser known game rumors.
>>3613215
Luigi in Mario 64 was the big one. Every bullshit story there is about 'im, none of true of course.
>>3613215
i would hope there's a rom hack that actually put a mew under that truck
>>3613215
why the fuck did they put that sprite there?
I donĀ“t remember that truck being used ever in the entire game
Guys, I need a suply of good retro games featuring crocodiles or alligators, no questions asked, please help.
