Help me out here, /vr/. I wanna translate this but I haven't the foggiest idea of how I could rip the script out of the game's Playstation ISO or anything.
Anyone more familiar with it, gimme a hand please.
PS1 ISO: http://www.mediafire.com/file/6q99arp9e79om0u/%5BPSX%5D+Quiz+Nanairo+Dreams+-+Nijiiro+Machi+no+Kiseki+%5BSLPS-00875%5D.rar
>Translating a quiz game
This seems like a bad idea.
>>3917478
I would like to do mutliple versions of it.
One would have the original questions directly translated
Another would have the questions replaced completely, anime and manga stuff would still be there but questions about japanese celebrities and stuff no one outside of japan could possibly know would definitely have to be replaced.
The main thing I'm looking to translate are all of the game's dialogue since this is a hybrid quiz game and dating sim.
I think I'm getting better.
I can now complete reading the question before the time is over.
Unfortunately I still have no clue about things like horse races so it's still mostly trial and error.
Why does this happen?
Post other ridiculous price gouging of retro games.
>>3917416
>Why does this happen?
because idiots are actually paying that price
>>3917416
>RARE ITEM
>>3917416
The most amusing aspect is that that doesn't even seem to be the going rate on ebay. That's just idorts who can't wait for a reasonable price to show up hittin' that Buy It NOW button as soon as YouTube tells them to do so.
Can anyone post some Famicom games with cute girls in them?
Urusei Yatsura: Lum no wedding ring
WURM: Journey to the Center of the Earth
What up /vr/. So today I helped my friend clean up his garage and I saw this sitting there. I was like -holy crap- he said it was his brother's but he doesnt live there anymore. He asked if I wanted it, I was like hell yeah!! Later we went to mc donals and I bought him a big mac and nuggets as gratitude.

sega consoles are so shit they are literally given away for free
>>3935764
I never seen a jvc xeye box look like that
>>3935784
I've never really seen a box for the X eye. Here are the insides of it.
There is only a single game missing from my collection that I have yet to aquire. Can anyone guess which?
Wario 2
FF legend 2
FF legend 3
There isn't a single one missing in mine...
There is a strong lack of DK'94
Ahhhh the good feeling when you colonize a new planet...
I'm way too old to be giggling at the word "annals"
>>3935242
your never too old to laugh
Suddenly...
>INDIGENOUS LIFEFORMS
>Played ActRaiser 2
>Expected a very shitty game with pretty sprites
>Ended up loving it
Imo, Actraiser 2 has its problems (the main character is very slow and the jump controls can be a bit tricky to master) but isn't a bad game. Also, the bosses aren't even hard. Pic related, for example, is just:
>Jump, Slash, Jump, Slash, Jump, Slash
>Walk to the left when the cloud begins to suck air
>Use the shield to block blades
>Repeat
I didn't change the difficulty or anything. I expected a nightmare and got a nice game that isn't even very hard.
>>3935025
>isn't a bad game
You lie
I only had Actraiser 2 growing up so when I finally went back to play the first one I could see why people didn't like 2 as much. I think the action stages in 2 are better than 1 but the lack of simulation mode makes it overall not as good.
>>3935025
Sims portion in the first game was never good in the first place, you literally cannot lose and all you do is grind away little imps and solve obvious puzzles.
Which game had the better artistic direction?
>imblying ff6 actually looks like its concept and promo art
One of the few things FF7 does better than its predecessor is art direction.
>>3934520
ff7 does everything better than ff6. ff6 is one of the worst FF games while 7 is still one of the best.
What was the deal with Monkey Island 2's ending? Is there an official explanation? And what *was* the secret of Monkey Islandâ„¢?
>>3934459
>And what *was* the secret of Monkey Islandâ„¢?it's a secret
>>3934459
>"enhanced" graphics
How disgusting, even though improved over the shoddy rushjob that was the "enhanced" version of the original.
The meaning of the MI2 ending and the Secret of Monkey Island are the same, you shouldn't take some developers' projects away from them because some of them (Ron Gilbert) can keep his secrets like a motherfucker.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-04-19-sources-nintendo-to-launch-snes-mini-this-year
>EuroGamer quoted it as a "SNES Mini" but it contains games from the NEX, SNES, GB/C, Virtual Boy and N64.
>First party only with some licencees that relate to Nintendo's own releases.
>No Pokemon, that will be it's own plug & play, also cheaper due to less games but the price and release plans are unknown.
>Being done by Nintendo NERD like the last one.
>Issues that the NES Classic had have been fixed with this.
>120 games, all of the same in all regions this time with new translations if needed (unless otherwise noted).
>The same batch of games will be released as a compilation pack on the Switch, both retail and digitally to avoid another NES Classic issue.
>Uses the same AC Adapter as the Switch, pointing to to being more powerful to emulate the N64 & Virtual Boy.
>GameCube/GBA Plug & Play coming soon after this.
>Contains WiFi for firmware updates and Bluetooth to connect Switch accessories to it.
>$100 US Dollars for the plug & play, $60 for the Switch version.
>Will be 60hz in all regions.
>4 players.

Nintendo can just fuck off. I'm just done. Any goodwill this company has built up with me over the years is just gone now.
I can buy this little shit new in my country for $150, what I want to now is the emulation quality worth $150, I've heard is the closer and best quality emulation, is this true?
>>3934009
No it isn't. It doesn't even emulate the MMC3 mapper correctly. Just emulate on your PC. The NES CE is just a garbage machine designed for hipsters who think it's worth showing off to you friends that you play Mario on an emulator.
>>3934009
is this bait? Mesen and puNES are better projects that are a lot more accurate. Save your cash, buy a raspberry pi and compile puNES on it.
>>3934013
Well I was asking because I recall seeing a thread where some people said that was the closer emulation to the original console
New to this sort of thing, just bought a Sony PVM-14M2U and an RGB modded SNES (with csync)
I'm a bit overwhelmed with scart cables, scart to BNC adapters, signal strippers, csync, and everything needed to hook this darned thing up to my PVM
I was looking at this scart cable: https://www.ebay.com/p/?iid=172455453279&lpid=82&&&ul_noapp=true&chn=ps
And this adapter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/192143407521
Is this all I need or have I gotten something hilariously wrong? I'm worried something isn't going to be compatible with something else in some fashion
>>3933947
That should do it and fyi all fat SNES consoles have RGB without modification so if someone sold you an "RGB modded" fat SNES at a premium they ripped you off (and/or are ignorant). Also, don't get too stressed about the sync source. You've got a PVM and they're very tolerant of wacky sync.
>>3933961
Nah, it was a SNES Jr
Thanks for the help, really do appreciate it!
>>3933963
The colours with the SNES jr tend to cross hatch without csync fyi
What's the best version of Tetris?
>>3933646
Gameboy
Tengen
The New Tetris (N64)
Tetris Attack (not tetris, but fucking great)
Tetris DS and Puyo Puyo Tetris are both pretty great.

Thanks anon I love these. Have you seen tim cain's on fallout?
>>3933680
not yet its one of the very few im yet to watch, love them too.
>>3933634
Oh this is gonna be a good watch.
Why the hell should I play EarthBound?
Because of Mr. Saturn, isn't it obvious?
>>3933164
It's quirky, and it takes place in America. That's pretty much all it has and ever had. That's why it has such a big fanbase, even though the games are total feces.
Because it's quirky and takes place in America.

why not
