I want to play and beat the whole "main" Mario series, up to and including Odyssey.
Is there any official statement on what counts as part of the "main series?"
Do Donkey Kong/Donkey Kong Jr.(please say no; I don't want to play them all the way to the kill screen)? What about the Land games?
Should I count SMB2, SMB2JP, or both?

I posted this in another thread, and no one believed me, so I wanted to see if anyone else had done this, which I'm sure some of you have.
Did anyone else beat Mike Tyson on their first try? I know, it sounds like bullshit, but I'm dead serious. It took me a long ass time to beat Super Macho Man (his spin punch is a bitch), but once I got to Tyson, his fighting required more reactionary counter-measures than patterns. I cant remember if I TKO'd or decisioned him (probably whichever one is easier) but I DID beat him the first time.
I seriously doubt I'm alone on this

It's excellent, less colors than the Snes version but unlike Snes it has music playing during the match (which really adds to the feel) and its all very fast and there's no sluggish feeling.
Genesis T.E. is great too, but Hangtime really suffered from the lack of colors.

What are some good 2d platformers with controls that feel really good, besides the obvious (Mario, DKC, Sonic, etc.)?
Preferably something with a good number of secrets. Pic related is still my favorite platformer of all time, and I'm looking for something to challenge it.

I recall Time Warp, where I couldn't get past the beginning of the game because you had to collect some absurd amount of Gritty Kitty bags. I was convinced it was a glitch.

Played it a few years ago. All I needed to do was complete the VR Mission and I would have 100%. I just stopped playing it since I was busy with The Last of Us.
Been thinking about finishing it lately. I remember that C4 mission where you had to place them on a guard and detonate them when he was near the cameras. fuck that drove me nuts.

I love PE2.
I use to think that both PE1 and 2 were just as good but each for different reasons.
But last year I replayed PE2 4 times and a half in a row. Really learnt to play and appreciate the game, digged through all the difficulty modes and stuff... What a masterpiece! After that I couldn't even bring myself to replay PE1, it feels so weak and... old in comparison.

What is currently the best way to emulate games up to the Dreamcast on TV? I don't want to buy original consoles and use roms or whatever, because I don't want to hook them up to HDMI. They look like garbage, and the mods cost a shitload.
