STR/CON is still fucked in the skills department, and all but INT/DEX are possibly fucked in the AC department without the right type of armor, but otherwise it should help a lot.

Don't all the STR/CON and WIS/CHA builds have heavy armor? I can't remember all of them, but clerics and bards have chain.
Barbarians only have hide, but STR/CON opens up heavy armor feats as an option.

So most of us are undoubtedly aware that forum-based RPs exist. Most of them are shit. Some, I assume, are ok. This is a thread about the former. If you've ever tried a forum-based RP before, post your worst stories here in whatever format you prefer. (Pic unrelated but in my /tg/ folder and mildly interesting.)
I'll begin:

>Play a German mercenary searching for a missing friend
>Another player creates a time-displaced Roman legionary with magical teleport powers and continually harasses my character for being a "Germanian barbarian"
>Teleporting Roman murders my character in his sleep the first time I stop at an inn
>Create new character as an Italian mercenary from Rome, fluent in Latin
>Teleporting Roman calls new character a barbarian anyway
>Churches are supposed to be safe sanctuaries by rules, take shelter in one
>Teleporting Roman murders new character and entire church in their sleep regardless
>GM is perfectly ok with this situation
In retrospect the first part was kind of funny but it was infuriating at the time.

Man I'm so torn on this. I never had a mini game and there are two on Kickstarter right now and I'm not sure which one to get and what sucks most is that The Edge campaign will be over in a few hours.
Help me guys! Which one? The Edge: Dawnfall or Mythic Battles: Pantheon?
Which one has better mini combat? I totally depend on your guys' recommendation. I never owned or even played a mini fighting game and both these look really awesome both in terms of visuals and gameplay. Which one should I go for? I really can't decide alone.

I am going to run spelljammer in 5e.
While the setting is normallly low tech, I want to have a group of bad guys be relatively hi-tech (I'm itching to use the laser gun rules from the DMG).
Does anybody have suggestions for good sci-fi monsters besides mindflayers( I know they are a good fit but I have criminally overused mindflayers in my campaigns).
The creepier they are the better. I'm going for some sci fi horror here. Things with official stats are preferable, but 3rd party ones are fine. I'm also willing to port anything.
Also, 5e spelljammer general? Have any of you run it so far? How did it go? Are there things you changed from how the setting existed in 2e?

Honestly... looking at Spelljammer and the ideas it represented, I'd rather run it using Savage Worlds than 5e. 5e is great for most fantasy things, but the highest level of tech I'd trust it to handle would be Eberron. Anything further and you're spending too much time reinventing the system to go outside it's normal parameters.
