First for Bird Brain
Caleb's build is kinda weak, I've been running mentors in the main and it feels so much better. It never really feels like you need that much extra draw power, especially since your combo draws you at least 4 and I already run 8 other draw cards. Might go down to either 3 thing or 3 mentor though, it feels a bit redundant when I draw them

still trying to build spellweaver helix. it's fucking hard. I switched up the build from the old ass one to remove the burst mill cards in favor of more cantrips, added young pyromancers as another wincon, but it's still ticking. I like the idea of thought scour and dredging off of it. The loam ravens crime engine is as good as ever.

Apparently my FLGS doesn't sell singles on Friday; so I could only play standard. Went 1-2 against a spicy Roil Shaper deck, then went 1-2 against RG energy pumping.

While Drizzt, as statted here, certainly isn't bad his 5e incarnation might be better served using the NPC/monster creation rules and cribbing bits of the ranger to denote his connection to Mielikki and teachings from Montolio, barbarian to denote his primal rage and taking on the aspect of the hunter, and fighter in the form of the two-weapon fighting style.
He trained in the two-weapon fighting arts way before he became a ranger, all the way back in Menzoberranzan.
>>50296726
What did you use to make that?
Why are his ability scores so low (even within the context of 5e)?
>>50296726
Who the hell cares about Drizzt anyway?
He's not really relevant to the setting at all and after 20-something stories starring him over decades of publication exactly 2 things happened in his series that actually mattered in terms of the campaign setting.
Does your character have children, /tg/?
After the adventure, yes.
Prior to adventure, no.
>>50281883
He's too busy bringing JUSTICE to the land.
Yeah, a few. You pick up all kinds of stuff as an evil warlord. I think i might even have some of their parents, or at least parts of them.
The thread is dead
long live the thread!
Question of the thread:
What is the weirdest character you have made?
Is it just me who has a much more positive view of the vanilla magic system after having tried Sorcery and RPM?
RPM
>Requires constant GM supervision and mother may I rule applications
>Way too many fucking rolls to cast spells
Sorcery
>Breaks laughably easy by getting 50:ish points that are hardcore improvise-able combined with a high willpower score
Vanilla
>Predictable spells. Requires minimal GM intervention to work and you see what you get

Name: Thomas Smith
Race: Human, North American (United States)
Nature of Abilities: Fairly average man that was formerly a soldier in World War II, with quite a bit of rural experience.
Backstory: In the 1950's, there was a popular TV series called Mr. Smith Comes Home, showing the life of a Thomas Smith that returned home from the war to live with his family on a tall hill in the Flint Hills. Having learned important life lessons, as well as becoming a man during his ordeals, he sets out to help others around the city of Manhattan, Kansas, getting mixed up in all sorts of adventures along the way.
Then, one day, the accident happened...
Essentially a man with a solid moral core based on family values that looks like he was lifted directly out of a 1950's TV set (monochrome color scheme and all), Tom is largely out of place in the hustle and bustle of a colorful yet distant world nearly sixty years later. However, he still does the best he can to lighten everyone else's load while he finds a way back home.
Tom stands at six feet tall, with light brown hair parted at the side and hazel eyes (nearly entirely green) that accentuate his indescribably American looks. He has a slightly above-average build reflected by his time in the Army and time on the farm. His accent is still very Midwestern, but it also has been somewhat colored by his experiences in Europe.
/tg/ tell me about the tankers if the Imperial Guard. Their experiences and their stories. What is it like to be an Imperial tanker?

It fucking sucks. You aren't even allowed to know how to repair your own vehicle, so if it gets damaged you're fucked if there isn't a tech-priest nearby.

Post lists. Specify formats. Question and critique card choices. Discuss cardboard.
Here's a casual Big Red deck I've had for a few years. I update it every so often with newer cards, but haven't kept up with the game very well since Return to Ravnica.
>4x Lightning Bolt
>4x Greater Gargadon
>4x Mogg War Marshal
>4x Epochrasite
>3x Tuktuk the Explorer
>2x Ember Swallower
>4x Solemn Simulacrum
>4x Siege-Gang Commander
>2x Conquering Manticore
>1x Combustible Gearhulk
>3x Wildfire
>1x Warp World
>1x Strip Mine
>1x Hellion Crucible
>22x Mountain
Pic related. One of my favorite "build-around-me" cards.
Is Greater Gargadon worth the commitment? It lacks trample
>>50321387
Haste is better than it looks. I hit the opponent with Gargadon pretty consistently.
That being said, it can be an all-in tactic that gets spot-removed easily, so I try not to over-commit. Bringing him out after a Wildfire or monstrifying my Ember Swallower is fairly safe.
>20x Swamp
>36x Relentless Rats
>4x Pack Rat
What are your favourite and most hated fantasy tropes, and if you can explain it, why? Also, feel free to argue about which fantasy tropes are objectively the best.
Personally, I'm a fan of enormous architecture - as in the Dark Souls games, with hideously huge buildings.
Something I absolutely hate is how everything bad is always "darkness". Mainstream fantasy media really can't get enough of its "light vs dark" imagery, but it's not just that I'm a hipster who's tired of it - even in settings that are supposed to be morally ambiguous, motherfuckers just can't stop themselves from muh light vs dark.
>all dwarfs are scotsmen
>all elves are faggots
>all centaurs are insufferable assholes
>all dragons are greedy jews
>all humans are religious nuts
>seemingly evil monster race actually has a complex culture or civilization
>hostility has real, somewhat justified, reasons behind it rather than just evil for the sake of evil
>actually try to be reasonable about things rather than going overboard with pointless cruelty
Just plain evil races are fine too, but they'll never be as interesting.
I despise the medievel stasis where a thousand years roll by and nothing's changed, that and the aversion to things like guns.
Dark Souls is guilty of this but then having the setting reset to zero is literally a function of it's setting

Did the guy working on the Evangelion CYOA ever actually finish it?
Has GW ever considered making a digital Warhammer 40000 "tabletop" game like that Armageddon game but with all of 40k's factions/models/rules implemented and map custimization?
You can play split-screen, solo or online with others rather than physical tabletop.
No, I highly doubt it. It would drain sales after all
>>50312297
GW aren't a video games company and farming out a direct competitor to your own sales line is a bad idea.
>>50312297
I'm not sure if I'm remembering right, but iirc GW was very wary to let Dawn of War be made at all because they thought it would eat into the profits of the tabletop game.
I highly doubt they would ever make a digital version of 40k, even if the company was on the verge of death.
It's time for a good old fashioned bad OC thread. Post bad OCs and cringe rollplay here. I'll start.
