How shouldcutekitsune work in a modern setting?

My modern fantasy wizard has a Kitsune Waifu. She's a normal person, she just has to grapple with her addiction to the suffering of others.
She works in show business as a talent agent, so it works out.

Would the Harry Potter setting be improved if we replaced muggles with moogles?
>>50333171
Fun fact: in this version, Voldemort lost his nose because of sneezing so much from his moogle hair allergies, which were also his motivation for wiping out all the moogles.
>>50333171
So Hermiominimominy is a half-moogle now?
Isn't thatkupo
Nearly any setting would be much improved with a silly cute muppet race.
Sup /tg/, I need your knowledge.
I'm planning on sending my Rogue Trader group to an alternate timeline where the Emperor was crippled on Ullanor and, instead of a Heresy, we got a bunch of Succession Wars. I want to really flesh out this setting so that my players have to make a serious choice when deciding if they want to overwrite it once again and return to how things were, and basically, while I reckon I have a good grip on the Primarchs, I want to hear other people's opinions on what would happen.
So far I've got a few things sort of fleshed out:
Horus, Guilliman, and Lion are the original claimants. Horus wants to be Emperor, Guilliman wants a republic with a senate, and Lion basically wants to be regent while he pools all resources toward finding a way to heal the Emperor.
Dorn supports Horus and eventually has to take him down when he starts to get Chaos'd, taking on the burden of leadership over the supporters of an Imperium with an Emperor. Mortarion and Perturabo were also aligned with him, but both split off to form their own states when Horus is ousted. Perturabo brings the surviving Luna Wolves under his protection and builds an empire of salt to pelt Dorn with.
Jaghatai and Magnus side with the Lion. Again, they both break away eventually. Jaghatai ends up creating a disordered nation of feuding clans and disgusting eldar tolerance, whereas the Thousand Sons end up rubric'ing themselves to better defend their territory and its people, and being ostracized from the alliance. They stay red/gold and don't officially serve Tzeentch, but we all know how things generally turn out for people who loudly declare that they don't serve Tzeentch.
Vulkan sides with the Realm of Ultramar, as do Corvus and Sanguinius.
Where should everyone else go? How do you see this looking by the 41st millennium?
>>50333136
Well, I suppose it depends on who has what, and how active Chaos is in all of this, and what the Emperor said before being interned.
For example, if the Primarchs were all tokd the danger of Chaos, and had the concept of it fully fleshed out, than it would make sense for most of the Primarchs to not fall, and rather, stay indepedent. However, if they were not warned, than the Primarchs would be easily isolated and corrupted tonthe last.
Another factor is Horus. Horus, by default, due to his title of Warmaster, would most likely be crowned the Emperor's regent. But I doubt that even Horus would be able to wrestle with the size of the Imperium of man. Thus, his corruption might come from the unimaginable task of leading the Imperium.
Logar would have a fucking field day, and probably never fall; Without the Emperor himself telling him to fuck off, Logar is going to bible hump so fucking hard, the noise will be heard around the galaxy.
In my opinion though, Gulliman will be the first to sceedaddle out. Always a statesman, and the brain behind a second Imperium, It is clear that he would take the Emperors loss as a crisis worthy enough to cede.
As for Konrad, I imagine that he would be incredibly surprised at this outcome, and would stay loyal to the Emperor
>>50333413
Well, if the Emperor is struck down on Ullanor, and assuming he was just as much of a dick as before, he probably didn't tell anyone about Chaos.
Also didn't the Emperor declare Horus Warmaster AFTER Ullanor was won? I definitely agree that Horus would go for the top spot but his legitimacy may not be entirely ironclad.
Agreed on Lorgar. Lorgar is just cumming and cumming huge jets of ESOTERICA and DOCTRINE across the galaxy. Some of his brothers might try to shove the Imperial Truth in this face though. I could see Lion being 2loyal4thisshit and trying to get him to stop.
First of all, that is bitching idea. It is perhaps my most favorite AU Warhammer premise now,
>>50333136
>Horus, Guilliman, and Lion are the original claimants. Horus wants to be Emperor, Guilliman wants a republic with a senate, and Lion basically wants to be regent while he pools all resources toward finding a way to heal the Emperor.
I don't think that's quite right. At this point (Ullanor) Horus still very much loved daddy and seeds of distrust and corruption weren't planted in his brain. While I think you recognized major players correctly I think it would go differently between them. Tell me if you like it.
>Emperor is crippled beyond the ability to communicate
>Horus, furious pulverizes orc empire but is overcome with sadness and rests by the vegetable emperor side for days without end
>Malcador the Sigilite, perhaps the only person that understands Emperor plan, recognizes that they have to act to save Imperium and humanity
>Malcador quickly comes and proclaims Horus regent
>While there is some uncertainty, after Sanguinius (ever loyal and seeing biger picture), Magnus, Dorn, Leman Russ, Fulgrim, Ferrus Mannus, Mortation and Vulkan throw their chips behind Horus everyone must bow before him.
>I think that Horus would not fall for chaos. Stricken by his father "sacrifice" for humanity his resolve and want for betterment of Imperium would be almost unbreakable, latter problems will stem from Horus being unable to control Imperium and his unruly brothers rather than him not willing to serve humanity
>Emperors body put on the Golden Throne by Malcador the Sigilite
>Malcador tries to be Horus advisor, but the task is hard because Horus does not truly trust him
>Guilliman and Lion create their own pocket empires still under Horus rule but in truth it is only nominal
How does your setting do threat assemnet? Are threats or supernatural beings given ranks/ratings/titles/etc to describe the danger class that thing could possibly be?
>>50332600
the closest is tiers of response
>send a couple guards over to deal with it
>get an angry mob together
>adventurer party
>high level adventurer party
>roll out the balista and raise an army
>>50332600
No, my campaigns do not take place in anime, and neither they take place in science fiction. No S-class adventurers and B-difficulty missions here.
Monsters have CR in D&D.
Superheroes have power categories and low-medium-high-insane as ratings.
Worm has PRT ratings which work really well.
Some settings have giant monsters attacking occasionally so they have some classifications that tell if it is a local-city-state-tristate-country-regional-national-international-global threat.

Beeple-beep beep! If the Imperium's technology is in a state of regression, how are they suppose to keep pace with the various diseases that inevitably would develop and spread?
With interstellar travel, millions of people in terrible conditions, thousands of years for diseases to evolve, and enemies that even worship disease, the only way humanity could survive is with no restrictions towards technology.
>>50331811
because the technological regression is almost purely related to weapons development, and there's only vague and passing descriptions of things like healthcare which just pass it off as incredibly advanced and functional
that and 40k fluff is almost entirely focused on warfare as that defines the games
They just kill anyone with a bad disease. Entire planets can be quarantined and allowed to die.

You find the following enchanted object
neat, i sell it in an attempt to save towards an item that i actually want

It keeps your clothes neat and without wrinkles. Just ignore the moans.
I first take it into town and find a wizard of some sort to identify its magical enchantments and sell it for tons of money towards what I really want, unless of course said object did have some use.

Would your party see through Lyle Lanley's lies?
Yes but since it is an plot hook, we would roll with it anyway.
Maybe stealing all his money before he leaves with the plane.
Some would. Others have access to stuff that is better than what he promises (high magic/sci-fi settings). So they wouldn't pay enough attention to him to notice that he's lying.
Other parties come to mind:
- Dark Heresy. He's making claims that, if true, are heresy of some kind. Regular heresy if he's using the warp, tech-heresy if he's using science as he's not selling anything Ad-Mech approved. What we do then depends on if we have another investigation running. If we don't, we investigate him. If we do, he gets lucky and we just kill him.
- Mass Effect game. One of the party would believe him. They would ignore that medi-gel is much more effective than his promises. Then that PC would get us in a lot of trouble by stealing his supply.
>>50329892
No but they would out swindle him without realising that he was pulling a con to begin with.
So, we've got a pretty good understanding of Anglo-French, Celtic, Norse, and bits and pieces of Slavic and German medieval fantasies
But is there any real Hispanic and Italian kind of fantasy? Are there any grand legends besides Christian fables, Roman wankery, Muslim exchange, and stories gathered from their colonial empires?
Not that I know of, aside from conquistadors and the trading republics you sometimes see in settings. And if you're skipping over Christian fables and stories from colonial empires, you're skipping some of the best parts - you can't even boot in Roland.
>>50329808
I'm pretty sure I've read some spanish fantasy... sometime... I think... fuck, can't remember.
And there was something italian too, I believe... oh, wait, that was a rock group with fantasy thematic. Hmmm.
Guess not.

Question, /tg/.
You're trapped on a desolate world. There's nothing else to eat but orks.
Could you safely use orks as a food source?
>>50329549
Of course not, they're fucking Orks.
>>50329549
Considering that you'd have to kill them first then no, not 'safely'.
>>50329549
Most fungi produce poisons, and I doubt Orks are an exception.
