>>
After the adventure, yes.
Prior to adventure, no.
>>
>>50281883
He's too busy bringing JUSTICE to the land.
>>
Yeah, a few. You pick up all kinds of stuff as an evil warlord. I think i might even have some of their parents, or at least parts of them.
>>
Nope, chem-gelded.
>>
I had a character an absolutely massive family. I keep adding to the list of them and a bit of descriptions on each.
>>
Do you want the GM to kill them for drama?

Never had this happen. You can also defend against this by simply having TOO MUCH FAMILY.
>>
>>50281883
My main character has a son she hides from the world until it's time for him to bring JUSTICE to it. She's a bit of a nutter, so his name is Penitence-before-the-Law. He's the son of another PC who has no idea she's had a kid. But mostly he's being raised offscreen by a dwarven nanny.

My side character is a mother too. She's had 15 kids then decided to go on an adventure when the last of them left home.

Two of my players are also a father-son duo in character.
>>
>>50281883
The GM threw a "super-weapon-little-girl" at us in Dark heresy. So I adopted her in a pre-emtive strike against teen angst. Im fully expecting tradgedy one day.

Eldritch abominations can't have children, and will always be useless to surface worlders, even when actively fighting to save them all.

Can't go back to the pits, because I've killed so many of them now they'd never let me live. Can't be happy on the surface, as after the world is saved, the shining temple will make it a goal to wipe me out and have told me as much. I'll spend the rest of my life as a betentacled monster, hiding as a common knight, hoping never to be noticed.

I'm also in love with my GF's barbarian, but she's not into tentacles and views me as ugly starspawn, so no chance there. Just as well, any child I have has a good chance at fucking the world over just as bad...
>>
Yes but my character abandoned his family after a war.
>>
He did, but they were eaten by fire giants.
>>
>>50281883
Someone PLEASE PLEASE post the pic with the baby centaurs trying to run but since babies can't hold their head straight until they are a few monthes old, they are in a silly posture

My for fun character sired bastard children all over while travelling from war to war as a mercenary, never interacted with any of them because he's a generally miserable and sort of evil fuck.
>>
Had an exalted character once, the game was actually about our party of 3 being on the verge of ascendancy. Each of us had amassed either untold wealth, nigh-limitless power or commanded a vast empire.

So naturally, there were females of various races hoping for me to sire a powerful heir. GM played it off pretty amazingly with how it started off with my player character siring children with the queen and a few consorts/ mistresses/ princesses of different parts of my empire, ended up spiraling out of control as my character came to the realization that without him, the children would inevitably fall into discord and wage war upon another. To counteract this (or in other words, limit the scale of the potential xenophobic genocides) he decided to sire children with many of the female heads of vassal states in the empire.

Character ended up ascending but wasn't remembered as "God of Valour and Compassion" as "God of Wisdom, Justice and Virility."
>>
as a frontier knight he doesn't see them much but his Merchant Wife takes good care of them.

Does that count?
>>

One of my characters is the son of an Elf Bard who blew through a tavern and impregnated his mother before moving on without giving a fuck.

I WANT him to have a kid eventually, because wanting to actually be a father is something he cares about very seriously. I don't need to literally impregnate someone, but at least a little orphan kid would be good.

Dunno.

My character's only in the group to look for his lost wife, and is paying the other members to stick with and help him out. I left the fate of the wife up to the GM, said she can be dead, dead and pregnant, A-OK, ran away because she hated my character, etc., I told him I wanted to be surprised. Though with what I mentioned, he's probably going to try and avoid the outcomes I listed to actually shock me, so who knows what'll happen.

My last one did. A grandchild, even. Who was of young adult age. Dude was old as hell, is what I'm saying.

My current character is a sociopath who shouldn't be let anywhere near children. Or most adults, really. He's too busy trying to kill his own father to procreate

Yes, one of the more retarded members of our party played an unidentified magic flute that turned out to be sacred to not!Pan. The party made a luck roll, my lizardman paladin botched it, and ended up vomiting out a fertile egg that hatched a few weeks later due to time travel fuckery.
Pretty sure the DM's forgotten about it at this point, but he has a tendency to bring up little things like that when you least expect it.

He actually likes explaining things endlessly and so gets along well with kids. He's also a bit too autisms to go and find himself a wife because "hold on just finishing these projects first".

Should one girl be crazy enough to go after him, she may as well just use his obliviousness; he'll probably be 2-3 kids into his marriage before what he's done even hits him.

Nephew would be the closest thing for the most recent. Also to make an on-topic post, generally no as I don't want the GM to portray my OC donut-steel and get it wrong or just kill it off or kidnap it. Also I generally make more career-oriented or lone wolf characters come to think of it (aged wizard consumed by his studies, a hardened veteran knowing only war, a ranger who spends his life as a hermit to find peace, etc.) with lower Cha. If they have high Cha then they usually are some sort of Paladin or Paladin-esque figure consumed with a cause rather than rearing a family.

That picture is still wrong.
Human babies are born incompetent because they'd be too big for the mother to pass otherwise. Since that's not an issue the human baby side would be as developed i a centaur the human side would be just as "developed" as the colt side.
The human side would be developed like a 2-3 years old or however old it takes for human babies to learn to walk/run

One of my older characters from a near-decade long campaign progenated an entire species after the entire population of the world was wiped out as a result of the war that got him and his crew on their godly thrones.

They were basically lizardfolk.

So yeah. He has a lot of kids, is their patron deity. His domain is perseverance, so survivalism, pushing towards civilisation, darwinist societies, etc. Their civilisation reflects him and his priesthood prospers there and elsewhere in the world, made the race in Pathfinder race generator and apparently a guy the DM is running for made one of my race's clerics of my character. Feels good.
>>
I once played a Lone Wolf and Cub type character, a warrior teaching his preteen son how to be a man while adventuring. In the very first session the kid got kidnapped. Various shenanigans and half a campaign later he finally got his son back, only for a plan to go awry causing his son fall into a poison-induced coma. Three sessions after that my warrior died and his son ended up a permanent vegetable living with his aunt. This entire campaign was filled with crit fails and non-stop GM roll fudging just to keep him alive.

My favorite character, Ragar Slagdamned, God rest his soul. Was the only character I had the ever sired children.

I should start from the beginning...
The scene is an Outpost that is guarded by Ragar's family. This is a minor citadel, far from any Orc Horde. But still his family keeps an eternal vigil over it's walls. At this time, he was known in the Common tongue as Korgavaan the 13th. Strong and brave in battle, one to make his Ancestors proud. His father was due to give him the Citadel's Shield. Showing that he was it's master and Guardian. His Brother accepted this, he was of the Clergy, and thus was forbidden to hold government office unless in emergency. He had a fair Dwarven Maiden he had his heart set on. She loved him, and he returned it in full. He had fashioned many trinkets and tools to show his devotion to her. She had given him a knotted rope to tie his hair with, 434 knots. A sacred number in their culture.

One day however, the clouds darkened. From the mountains came the largest GreenSkin horde ever seen since the ages of Dalin first and Only. He readied his people for battle, and sent away the civilians to their Capital of Kor- Machkteth. He knew that his Father's Citadel would not stand, unless a great sacrifice was made. He went to the Forge Father of the Citadel, and begged him to preform the ancient rites of Flesh Forging. Now regarded as Blasphemy by the greater church. Reluctantly, he did so. His body was transformed into that of living Metal. Skin of Iron, and Bones of Steel.

Leaping out of the Church, his flesh still hot from the ritual. He saw that it was all for naught. A Contingent of Humans came and slew the Horde, scattering them into the mountains. He was surronded by the Dwarves he once called friends. In the struggle, he punched his brother. Shattering his skull under his iron fist.

He was brought before his father, with his once impressive hair falling out in clumbs, weeping. His father was disgusted...

He's really fun to play, especially with the Morally Upstanding party.
I constantly butt heads with the paladin, but my ideas of "evil" are so mind numbingly stupid that he just puts up with me.

He had the ForgeFather declared a heretic and executed by drowning. He declared that Korgavaan was banished from all The Dwarven Lands until he saw fit. Across his back, chest, hands and face he branded him with the Traitor's mark. He set a bounty of a million Kradz upon his head, and for good measure. Removed his Stones and sent him away.

He later found out that his Father had Hung himself, denying himself a place among his ancestors, and robbing him of redemption.

I will try to continue this story after 4PM, US central time. I hope someone screen caps this, shit is hard to remember.

Wednesday campaign character 1- Will, grew up in a carnival, gypsy lady took his virginity. She took it. He cant have sex unless he gets it back. Otherwise he'll suffer a gypsy's curse. It's true, no, totally, she told him so.
So no kid unless the DM wants to have that plot, which would be pretty great, he's an amazing DM, and I trust him with it. My character is also courting a princess, so that would be interesting.

Saturday character, Tetrivauld, my Dwarven Paladin (Halfling Ninja)- Has been way to busy trying to free Dwarven kind, his people, from the Tyrant.

Other Wednesday Character- Hauk, Half orc Barbarian. No. HAHAHAHAHA no. Fairly fatherly, pretty much adopted the warlock child. But he's in the party, so I dunno if that counts. But no, part of the reason he left his tribe was because he was in an arranged marriage with a 'beautiful' half troll. Buuuuut he's gay. And might start courting a half elf bard. He's pretty.

LARP Character 1: Jimmy- Unless the girl he was engaged to (ooc, I was dating) has something to tell me...

LARP Character 2: Gai- druid. Raised by animals, etc, Wears a kilt because the first human he ever met was a woman, thought skirts were what people wear. when he was young, started sleeping with a ranger that was young and assigned to his woods. Ranger was reassigned, unsure if he has a child or not from her. Depends where plots etc go.

So... Maybe?
>>

I used to. My Kitsune had a beautiful young lady. Then our party leader pandered to her teenage whims. the hormones blasting through her brain were boosted by her magical powers ( she was adopted) and thus I lost my daughter due to the negligence of a whiny butthole. Let it be known, never let a half-elf spend time alone with your daughter.

I've actually played several characters desended from one another through various campaigns.
>1st was a human rougue, wound up fucking a dragon producing a kid.
>2nd was a 'human' sorcerer, who ended up marrying an elf.
>3rd was a half-elf arcanist, they had kids with a full elf also.
>4th and final (for now) was a half-elf pally, he became a god after the campaign, and waifu'd one of the existing goddesses.
So yeah, a good few end up with kids after the credits roll.

Cont
He wandered the World, a freak of Magic. Shorter of stature than a Dwarf yet heavier than an Ox. He walked for years, sometimes meeting others, sometimes speaking only with the stone around him. At times he would come across foes, but he could never beat to raise his fists against them. He ran so much, he was captured many times, and broke many, many manacles and ropes. He went South when the great Winter came. There he found a monestary that opens their doors to him. They fed him, clothed him, treated him like he had not been treated in many years. There he learned to forgive himself, to let go and move on.

A decade later he left the Monsetary. Traveling with many different people for similar reasons. Always looking to help others. One day he came upon a village at the Border of his Homeland. The village had been sacked by Orks, and only one person survived. A baby girl, sickly, with a Cat's Lip. Those he travelled with told him to kill the child. He left them in the night, the Child with him. He raised her as his own.

As the years sped past, he felt his body grow wearied with every passing day. His skin would flake and peel. His once giant strength left him. He was weighted down by his own body. The day she finally turned 20, an adult by his reckoning. He told her his Story, his curse, and all his Wisdom. He set her on a Path of gentleness, but not without strength.

He died eighteen days after her 21st birthday. He was buried at the Foot of the Mountains. In a humble tomb of Stone. Upon his Gravestone carved the words. "Here lies Rorgar SlagDamned, maker of mistakes, righter of wrongs, Surrogate Father of Meraina. May his Ancestors welcome him home.

>>
Yep. Game of Exalted. Didn't know it t first as my character believed his lover had dies some 17 years go so when the kid showed up claiming to be her child it was quite the shock.

It turns out he had become Green Sun Prince.

Which would have been awkward my character hadn't become one 17 years ago after the apparent death of his mother. It's still kind of awkward as my character is little more than a socially inept, cannibalistic butcher while the boy has fully bought into the "restoring the Yozi to their rightful seat of power" plan.
>>
>>50297193
What's funny is she's probably tougher and more capable than the stuffy noble who "adopted" her and has taken it upon herself to teach how to be a proper servant, the orphan girl has just fallen hard for the whole ojou act.

It doesn't help that my character has an...intense way of dealing with people and accidentally acts super fucking homo on occasion as a result.

Nah, it's more than she's just really imperious and waxes romantic with maybe a pinch of chuuni.

The orphan girl has a tendency to put herself down or have low self-confidence, which ojou-sama deals with by firmly holding her chin and forcing eye contact while she explains how if the orphan was anything less than wonderful, she wouldn't have been chosen to be ojou-sama's vanguard.

Read "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck"
It's basically a prequel to the original Uncle Scrooge comics from the 40s that goes into AMAZING detail about how Uncle Scrooge becomes rich, drives away his family, and then realizes that his money is worthless without sharing in the adventure of how he attains it.

It absolutely cements the idea of Scrooge as more than a duck millionaire, but a well rounded character.

Which character?

My fighter adopted a hobgoblin orphan who he raised as we were waging a war within our world against invaders from another realm. That character eventually ignited a spark of divinity by becoming one with the Law of the Sword and became a Deity.

Said hobgoblin orphan became my second character in that world who engaged in wacky adventures as basically the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, minus the losing appendages. He got married to a hobgoblin and settled down in his father's court after we reached 14th level.

Third character was a half-orc bard. He was one of the many sons of a powerful orcish chieftain. He grew up learning how to entertain people and came to believe that you were more powerful the more wives you had. So he set out to get more wives than his father could imagine. Ended up with three hundred and seven wives ALL with unique traits to them. Three dragons, seven vampires and a lich all fell prey to his honeyed words, his ukelele and his penis. He had many sons and daughters. MANY.

I haven't played a game in years though. I ran a campaign and now, I'm foreverDM. I miss that bard. Such a fun campaign. Much debauchery...

Had one. Serting was malifaux: through the breach. She was kidnapped by the big bad who was a member of the guild. Whole party seemed unwilling to help. Turns out that's a pretty good way to lose your mind and become a necromancer of sorts. Finally got to the kid after roughly 5 years had passed in game. She didn't even recognize her own dad and shot him dead in the final session for becoming such a vile individual in the name of revenge. 5/7 would let daughter get kidnapped again.

Is it because of their smaller stature that it makes your ding-donger look much more impressive than it actually is?

I'm taking the piss, I like kobolds too. They're like midget foreigners who have no clue how anything outside their home works, and either treat it as some fearsome tool of a mighty god which is not to be trifled with or think they know what it's used for and use it wrong in a way you'd never expect someone to use it. Speaking of, heard of half-kobolds, never saw them in game or art. Are they just much smaller, ratty, more skinny versions of Dragonborn? Slightly taller kobolds and that's it?

I think it was a mix of likelihood (we were all quite busy trying to reverse nearly 1000 years of mismanagement and prejudice against non-humans and mages while also making sure that the area's defences don't slip as it's still basically on the doorstep of the world wound (but with a strong enough barrier that tieflings are fairly rare) and many of us didn't get married until the 3rd year of the 5-year timeskip) and this setting being fairly conservative with regards to that kind of thing.

Well, either way, good job. My current endgame goal for a current character (depending on if she survives long enough, of course) is having triplets, mostly because of pottery reasons and I think it would be funny to see the father's reaction. not sure how to talk the GM into it.

Yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see how our characters try to balance family life with the fact that the evil demigod we (meaning my guy specifically) accidentally released has come back to bite us. Looking forward to that.

>Goal for current character is having triplets
You can do it anon! Talk to your GM and you can work out a way to make your dreams come true! Unless your GMs a shit who'll kill them for 'drama', then fuck him (mine's been my best friend since I was 14, so I know I can trust him) If you can trust your GM, go for it; try to explain it from an angle they'll approve of and if he's any kind of decent, he'll give you your heart's desire as a reward for a fight well won

>>50315606
Good luck, anon. I think some of the most interesting story elements often come from exploring characters' families, so you'll definitely have good opportunities for stuff coming with that.

I think my GMs a decent guy, and I know he ships my PC and the PC that's courting her pretty hard so hopefully he'll let it happen and give them their babies. Also it doesn't hurt that I draw all the stuff for the game so I'm pretty sure all I'll have to do is draw some cute pics of "hypothetical" triplets and he'll probably be down with the idea. And as I said, knowing the character, the dad-to-be's reaction to 3 kids at once has comedy gold potential written all over it.
>>
>>50315731
How come 90% of these kids are daughters? Are most people just too degenerate to want strong male heirs to carry on the family name and grow to bring glory to their fathers?

I bet most of you were raised by single mothers and know nothing of the relationship a man can have with his son. sad.

I was raised by my Dad and Mom. Our relationship is good, but getting better.Daughters are cuter, though sons can be adorable as well. And if you want to blame someone for not having a fictional son or sons in a drawing to fulfill your fantasies of living your life through them while having them avoid the mistakes you made while growing up, and doing what your father did wrong instead right to your son(s), then blame the guy who drew the picture, and move on.

I played a gishy incubus who started climbing the alignment system starting from CE and ending CG. By the end of the campaign he was happily married (he made a Interdiction from Death wedding ring for his wife, of course) and with a half-demon son.
The funny part was when, various centuries later, he went on to search for his tiefling descendants, and for a demonic blackguard proud of his evil pedigree, to see ye old grotesquely beautiful incubus bishonen, dressed up like a dapper gentleman asking him how he's doing and if he's found a girlfriend is... let's just say difficult.

No, and she's horrified by the prospect.
There's enough awful shit in the world that she has to put down, without either waddling around pregnant, or worrying about protecting a young child.
Also her boyfriend is a bit of a tool, and her guilty fling with her mystical mentor isn't much healthier a relationship.

Not to his knowledge. He's never had a lengthy relationship, and no incidental dalliances have approached him with children as of yet. If such a child was brought to his attention, he'd need to take responsibility.
>>
>>50315773
A few reasons.
1. In most mythology if the child is to resemble the none human parent in appearance then it will be of the same sex as them. This has become a part of our subconscious, and so the children are drawn female to match our visual expectations.
2. In the world of Monster Masune there are no male monsters apparently ergo any child born to a monster mother several orders of magnitude more likely to be born female than male.
3. It takes a real man to raise daughters. Son's think like you behave like you, do what you do and did as a kid. You inherently can empathize and know what to do with them. A daughter, much like your wife does NOT behave like you do or did. She engages with you differently from a son, and presents her father with many different problems, and conflicts than a son would. Even the issue of bullying becomes different. Adapting to these challenges and the needs of a daughter so she can grow up and be a strong, upstanding, wise, and capable individual is a challenge that a father who has only had sons will never know.
The most awesome guy I ever met, had 3 daughters. He taught me that.

Counter-counterpoint: Neonatal head size is only a problem for humans because we stand up on two legs. Many animals are born with proportionally larger heads and giving birth isn't particularly uncomfortable for most mammals. When humans started standing upright all the time that fucked with our hip structure and caused childbirth to become extremely difficult and even dangerous. Standing up was that worth-it.

Humans are biological min-maxers.

full on furry > monstergirl

but really, family always means trouble, especially if you have a GM with the creativity of a rotten raisin trying to make your characters suffer for no real reason.
>>
>>50328075
That depends, when our group wound up with kids, they wound up as more mature, balanced people overall, which lead to new dynamics, which led to a better overall experience. It helps that our GM is a bit of a sap, so he goes all in for that stuff (to be fair, we can be pretty sappy, too and anyone who tries to take advantage gets shot down by pretty much everyone in the group, so it all works out)

No character in our gaming group has ever had children in 25 years of playing. There are a number of very good reasons for this, first of which is that children, wives, etc. are just unnecessary work - as in, coming up with characters for them, roleplaying them, etc. is busywork that doesn't contribute towards the goal of beating the adventure. And people don't like massive amounts of extra work. Secondly, from the in-character point of view, it's quite hard to justify why a "family man" would go out on adventures, risking his life on a daily basis for minimal and uncertain gain.
