Never heard, what is?
>>50348749
It's a Swedish rpg described as a cross between 1001 Arabian Nights and Firefly. The system uses pools of d6 attempting to roll at least one 6 in order to accomplish a task. Combat can apparently get brutal in it as well.
>>50347103
Great, easy system, interesting setting, and lots of fun both in-game and mechanics wise. A good buy.
All the Exalted, including the Terrestrials & Alchemicals, at the peak of their respective powers, even if that's involves becoming Abyssals/Infernals.
Chaos Gods. Don't care if FB or 40k.
>>50346930
Holy shit yes, so easily. The strongest Exalts in the primordial war, we're essence 4, or 5. And the primordials are each about as strong as a chaos God, albeit more limited in scope. All the Exalted at Essence 10, would steamroll. Especially since there is hypothetically unlimited Terrestrials, and the Celestials, if they somehow die, can keep reincarnating.
>>50346986
but anon, Chaos Gods are not some random gods that came out of the blue... or Wyld... they are embodiments of primal stuff.
>>50346930
Chaos Daemons are intangible beings of pure power, who can manifest from another reality. Even if they're killed in realspace, they simply return to the Warp to fight another day. The Warp itself is even worse, an ever-shifting realm of chaos which twists and corrupts anyone and anything it touches.
No problem there. The Exalted were made to fight beings like that, win, and make sure they stay dead.
The tricky part is that Warhammer's Chaos Gods seem to be decentralized by nature. At first glance they may appear to be very much like Primordials or Raksha, beings so vast that they could be worlds unto themselves, who can project smaller magical beings which embody aspects of their greater nature; however, unlike their Exalted equivalents, daemons are not vital organs and the Chaos Gods do not seem to depend on them for continued existence. Rather, they depend on the emotions which influence the Warp for continued existence; rather than being a single self-contained whole like a Primordial, the Chaos Gods are roiling oceans of emotional energy which act as single thinking beings because of their common themes. Each one began as small sparks of emotion and the daemons they spawned, which gradually grew, multiplied, and eventually became what they are today; even if the Exalted destroy part or all of a Chaos God, this could keep happening again and again, so the gods could never truly die.
>World War 1 drags on for so long that people begin to evolve to better suit that environment.
>What strange horrifying traits do they adapt?
omitting the fact that the majority of the population did not live on the battlefield and they could not evolve strictly war-related traits (aside from a greater resilience to prolonged effort and hunger due to factory shifts and food production being devoted to the front, plus greater spawn output to make up for losses), I'd say
>night vision
>either extreme conflict avoidance or uber-powerful adrenaline rushes to live through the day's charge
>running speed and rough terrain navigation
>thicker shoulders (mostly on the right side)
>harder/thicker ribs
>smaller stature for better stealth
>skin of varying colours not unlike a camouflage pattern
>greater resistance to shockwaves and psychological shock
>more powerful healing factor, if not the ability to outright grow limbs back
>digestive systems capable of processing rotten or downright toxic stuff
>immune system for days
there are probably more, but these are the traits I can get off the top of my head
>>50345910

Jumpers! We've seen many important questions posted at the beginning of threads before, over many different subjects. It's time for what just might be the most important question yet.
How often do you Ship characters/Play Match-Maker during your jumps?
How happy are the couples you made? How often does it go horribly wrong?
>>50344888
I'm considering it when I go to Awakening.
Here's hoping Chrom doesn't auto-marry me though
>>50344888
Almost every time I have tried, it goes wrong somehow.
Shipping Harry and Hermoine worked out very poorly (though god knows it gave Harry TONS of confidence after he got over Hermoine taking detailed post-coital notes).
Shipping Walt and Skyler didn't help, though this was more of marriage counseling, they ended up getting a divorce because when I ensured Walt got his masters and got a raise at the school, she fucked around on him anyway because he wasn't home enough, despite that his hours AND HIS JOB never even changed. Skyler is a bitch; alignment perks confirm Chaotic Neutral, leaning slightly toward evil. (Walt is LN.)
Shipping Fox and Krystal was ... actually let's not go there.
Shipping Zim and Gaz because I had literally nothing better to do worked out better than expected and it disturbed me mightily. I am pretty sure they were somehow screwing with me.
And the less said about the legacy of the Newbie family from my time in the Sims, the better. I mean, what's it even CALLED when you divorce, but live together, bring in the NEW spouses all to live in the same house... then the EXACT SAME THING repeats so you have FOUR couples under the same roof?
>D&D is a gonzo superhero RPG with fantasy trappings.
>It is not suited for LotR, SoIF, or the Witcher.
>>50339951
No argument here.
>>50339951

I love Warhammer but I'm growing tired of the same old scenery. What wargame should I jump to? Warmachine? Infinity? I really like the modelling and lore aspects of a given wargame. Your-dudes armies and all that. Interesting factions.
What do you recommend, /tg/? Also what kind of fanbase does your given recommendation have?
>>50339397
Well to be completely honest there is no your dudes aspect to infinity or to Warmahordes, on top of the fact that the lore for both is as shallow as a kiddie pool
>>50339397
Infinity. Great rules, interesting fluff and the best models in the industry.
>>50339397
Warmachine/Hordes is one of the best GAMES on the market. However, beyond painting your models, the Your Dudes aspect is lacking. You can't customize at all (Beyond adding some more dudes to a troop, or adding solo models that may add rules to specific units), and conversion guidelines are very firm compared to 40k.
The Your Dudes/customization aspect comes from building lists. Each Warcaster/Warlock brings an unique combination of abilities, spells and a once-per-game Feat ability that can turn a game around. So while you can't customize your models a lot, you can make a list that suits you. It's not quite the same, but it's what there is.
The fluff comes second to the game, but it's pretty good, if a bit hard to find.
Quick /tg/, I need all of the snake based monsters that you've got! Giant snakes, magic snakes, snakes attached to things, thing attached to snakes, I dont care I just need heaps of snakes

Can I get a hooded, horned kenku in a long tattered cloak, smoking a long eastern-style pipe, and rolling a coin in his other hand? He should have some body-wraps and bandaging under his cloak, gold and brass jewlery, a magical staff and handful of javelins on his back, and a veritable shitload of different exotic knifes strapped to his person in various ways.
Thanks dudesters.
I would like to once more request an updated picture of my Infernal Exalted. She's a Slayer-caste, which in Exalted means that she's usually supposed to be a close-combat monster. She has, however, chosen to focus more on Sorcery, and I would love to get her redrawn to represent that change.
She's the character in the center, with four major alterations: first, her armor has been shaped and reformed to be much more form-fitting, while still retaining the ornate look if at all possible. Second, her hair is now much, much longer, flowing out alongside the scraps of her tattered cloak.
Thirdly, she now wears a long, oriental-styled robe like the woman on the left, on top of her armor and beneath the cloak (I know someone else is asking for a woman wearing that, and I wanted to thank that anon because his image is much nicer than the original reference I had for the robe). And finally, she is using the stave-artifact on the right, turning her greatsword into a massive sword-spear (the blade of the sword is roughly as long as the shaft of the staff).
Thank you in advance!
Requesting the male elf archer on the right patronizingly patting the head or cheeks if the female archer on the left, as the female archer's blushing and puffing her face angrily.
Congratulations to Ramciamciam for winning the /tg/ FUMBBL League season 5!
Secret League season 2 playoffs are now live.

We should remove ones from the game.
Now that nothing else important is happening this season, who is hyped for season 6? What are you bringing to the table?

Why did FFG lose the 40k RPG License?
Because they were bought by Asmodee that caused some sort of licensing conflict.
Will GW make their own 40k RPGs now?
Probably not. But if they do it will likely be worse than you could possibly imagine.
So, what's the most ignoble way one of your characters have died?
I once lost an OW character to a squig attack. I was pretty bummed about it.
>>50308042
-Cultist pushed him off a balcony.
-Botched a grenade throw while on 2 wounds.
-Poisoned /both/ glasses in a game of wits, to ensure his enemy would die. Thought he would be able to survive the poison. He did not.
-Fell off a boat, too augmentic to float, sank to the bottom of the sea. Some say he's still down there, walking slowly towards shore.

ITT your encounters with DMs of questionable skill, Intellect, morals, or grasp on reality.
Worst one I had was one who took the -4 str joke seriously. This was the same guy who kept trying to make any D20 system, and its derivatives by extension, realistic.I secretly wish I had played in a game run by a super creep GM so I had a horror story
>>50326503
I once had a DM who wanted to play Catan like they did in that 'do you Catan' screencap.
Mine was in high school, first time player, only girl in the group of five.
>Joined up a while into campaign, other guys already into their roles.
>My character was a badass half Orc barbarian. The DM said she could be hot if I wanted, and so I said sure!
>first game with her, she get set on fire after rolling over a campsite fire, and the DM (after some rolls) declares that all my clothes burned off and I'm now completely nude. He tries to get me to give a description of my character naked to help 'set the scene'. I went with it that time because I expected some hazing.
>Couple games later, get hit with a disintegrate spell, make my save, but again he declares the magic destroys all my armour, specifying clothes and underwear go too. Getting old.
>He occasionally does one on one elements of his games, where we'd fight or interact with NPCs alone and stuff, and would take us seperately to do those. He made mine totally uncomfortable, a scene with my character in bed, naked of course, and she's awoken and confronted by the villain, who 'admires your nakedness' and such a lot as we do the scene. He made that shit creepy as all hell.
>Next character I make, I make a guy. Based loosely on an actor I was into at the time. Strangely, the random forced nudity stopped.
Which of these is most objectionable as a game piece?
'Food' would get stuck in it
