It is 400 AD, about 360 years after Jesus Christ died and rose again on Calvary. The Roman Empire has been split for a mere 5 years. It has been two centuries since Roman Emperors stopped attempting to wipe out Christianity from the face of the Earth. Christianity is experiencing a golden time of relatively little resistance throughout the known world.
No Islam for several centuries, the Bishop of Rome has not become one of the most powerful people in the world, and everywhere is pretty much up for the taking by those willing to follow Christ to the ends of the Earth.
.................
You are a Christian (choices about pretty much everything will follow soon), and your most precious possessions are:
> a full indepth set of Biblical Texts, in Latin, Greek, your personal main language, and the language of the people you decide to set up your Church. These texts have full annotations and pretty much anything that has been learnt about the historicity of the texts (full concordance, strategies employed by any scribes, translation and glossary even). All that it needs is someone to read it -that someone is you and anyone who has access to the works.

Brother
Being a female we're going to get raped
>Where is your country of origin, and what is your nationality?
Norsemen came down south as a raider, stay for God
Get that Blonde hair and blue eyes, show we're a angel from God to spread the faith.

>Northern Europe
We meet fellow white people and convert them be they Celt, Viking, or German
>Africa
Black people, we could convert them but really hard with the so many tribes
>Middle East
Stop Islam, but sand people
>Japan or Asia
Japan we could be the first European and be like a Angel to them, also shape the future of Japan and turn it into a power house

I'm going with Northern Europe if We get the Viking converted we can then sail to the New World and build on free land. Shape the whole New World before anyone gets there.

Write-ins will be allowed, and pretty much any decision may be made for our presently non-described Christian MC provided it falls in line with Biblical Justification.

Basically any choice needs to be humanly possible, and if a moral/theological choice be able to be backed up by at least some Biblical argument if pressed.

Wealth decision:

>we are but a poor humble man/woman who gathered our few valuables to travel from X - Y, we brought our family/small group of christians from our homeland who have been convinced by my visions to help me bring God's word to the people of XYZ.

>We are a normal man/woman who decided to move from X-Y and brought along some people to set up a church at Y.

>We are Wealthy and were convicted by God when reading scripture to sell our shit to start a church at ____

Recap: You are the collective unconscious of the posters of /his/, a historian of over a million annals. One moment in your study, a green portal appeared. Having nothing else to do, you entered it.

Summoned to an entirely new world, with two moons, you are currently discussing the equivalent of the Protestant Reformation with one of its denizen. However, a problem confronts you, in that by telling him about what course of history could take, you risk unconscientiously interfering with a history that as a historian of Earth, a mere observer, you do not have the right to interfere with.

This quest is run over the long term rather than in sessions, so updates are slow. Discussion is highly encouraged.
---

The balding middle-aged man asked you: "Presumably, there is no way to alleviate it?"

"Maybe there is, maybe there is not. However, in telling you, I run the risk of playing a deity. As a historian, it is my task to observe, rather than dictate what should be. Our line of discussion seems to have strayed from mere discussion of possibilities into affecting them. Whatever course of history a world ought to take, that choice belongs to its people. For if I chose to interfere, I would be usurping the role of this world's people and their societies. That merely would make the task of other historians difficult. A simple history, a history understood by everything, does not have the likes of conspiracies and "Great Men" poisoning it."

A breath, perhaps of understanding, comes from the man.

"That's too true."

He pauses for a bit, staring further into the two moons for further introspection.

"My name is Jean Colbert. I'm pleased to meet you." He turns to you.

[] "I am the Historian. Likewise, I am pleased to meet you."

Last time on Dragon Quest we entered a fucking castle which was reported to have a sickness in the people residing in it, we also got a fancy hotel, talked to some people about letting our son become the Kaiser of the German Empire, and so far we're actually getting closer to seeing that dream become a possibility.

As you enter the castle, you see easily that the lights are all off, you can't see very well thanks to that, not to mention cobwebs in the corners, dust everywhere, and a notable lack of people. No bodies, no humans, no nothing. You found yourself in the middle of what seems to be a kitchen, complete with food. Fresh food, from the looks of it, as there is a single plate with a few scraps of food, and you deduce it as a simple meal of bratwurst. Of course you take your leave and go to the left down a particularly well-furnished hallway, and you continue down the hall for a little bit, admiring some paintings of previous rulers and their pets, such as cats, dogs, parrots, and in one case, a horse. Of course, your stroll leads you to a staircase going up. A small sign reads "Observatory & Study". You briefly consider going back, as there were two other hallways. The second of which had blank stone walls, lacking decour, and the third had shields and steel knightly statues.

Actions.

>...Maybe you should "borrow" a few of those paintings. No one is here after all.
>Go up the stairs.
>Go back down the hallway and take the second hallway.
>...Third hallway is always the charm.
>Head back to Frankizka.

You decide against going into this room, as it seems useless to you at the time. Instead you walk back down the hallway, into the kitchen, and into the third hallway.

You can't help but feel like your being watched by the metal knight statues, and eventually you get to the other side of the room. You see the small sign of "Servant Quarters & Guest Rooms".

The Legion, once a great force that shook the wasteland, has fallen. After the defeat at Hoover Dam and the death of Caesar, the 87 united tribes fell into chaos, quickly becoming little more than groups of slavers and warbands with no unity or code of honor. The NCR already spread too thin in the Mojave, did its best to secure its borders by quickly reinforcing the dam. Now able to defend against any would-be invaders that try to cross the Colorado River, the NCR turns its attention to New Vegas, where a mysterious courier going by the name of "Six" has declared New Vegas a independent state.

But that is none of your concern... at least for now.

You are a survivor, one that sees the fall of the old Legion as an opportunity to begin anew and to forge your own path using the skills the Legion has given you, because if there is one thing you know for certain.

It's that war... War never changes.

Lightly chastise Viscera by telling him that sarcasm is no suitable substitute for a proper and respectful answer, unless there was no respect in the first place.
Remind Aetius that you can hear the tone and timbre of your brothers and do not need him to lead, but to be led by YOUR example. Which means you speak for yourself, not him for you.

You are Jason Fisher, 4th grader and best friend of a three-headed dog monster named Oscar. You and your father have recently moved from your small hometown in Virgina to Greensville, a modest sized city in northern Ohio. You have been enrolled in Lakeside Elementary School, and are still trying to adjust to the change.

Yesterday, you chose to hang out with your new friend Tyler during school. You found out that his parents are usually busy, and so it’s his older sister that usually takes care of him. You got his sister’s phone number and later gave it to your dad, who arranged for the two of you to hang out again tomorrow on the weekend. That night, you were awoken by your monstrous friend Oscar, who could smell another monster in the neighborhood. This one wasn’t the kind like Oscar, however. It was Unbound, a monster with no kid that survived by devouring humans. You had to let it go, as the fighting started to wake up the neighborhood, but you did manage to scare it away, back into the sewers where it came from. With that settled, you returned home and snuck back in through the window, getting some sleep before tomorrow.

“...but the girl’s whereabouts are still unknown. Police do not yet know if it is linked to the recent string of murders, but the public is advised to lock their doors and stay in well-lit areas.”

Your father turns off the radio, tsking his tongue. “Honestly, can’t turn the radio on now without another headline. Hope that girl’s alright though. Jason, you remember what I said about taking candy from strangers?”

“To not do it.” You answer almost mechanically.

“That’s my boy!” Your dad says, ruffling your hair. Honestly, the recent news didn’t really scare you at all. If anything, whoever’s responsible for the recent news should be afraid of you, since you have a supernatural guard dog watching you all the time.

The car comes to a stop in front of Tyler’s house, where you’ll be hanging out for today. Your dad pulls out the keys and climbs out of the car with you, holding your hand up to the front door. He rings the doorbell, and a moment later an older girl comes and opens the door.

“Oh, hello! You must be Mr.Fisher.”

Your father nods his head. “And you must be Tyler’s sister, yes?”

“Yep yep! Then this little guy must be Tyler’s new friend.” She crouches down to about your height. “Good to meet you Jason, Tyler’s told me a lot about you!”

The way she talks, it reminds you a lot of that fake cheery tone your teachers put on at the start of the day. Except this sounds more genuine, like she’s actually in good spirits.

You are Cadet Lieutenant Richter Von Tracht, a soon to be tank commander for the armies of the Archduchy of Strossvald. Currently in the midst of your final training exercise in the Academy, despite your dismal starting prospects you have managed to do far better in this exercise than you could have anticipated, eliminating an entire platoon from the prestigious 1st Company, evening the odds after much of your allies were knocked out by a flanking attack by your mock foe.

Your conniving Radio Operator now monitors enemy signals from the place you knocked out their armor, and in the meantime you set out with your platoon to find and destroy the enemy that resides in the same territory as you, across the river from the rest of your company, the 2nd, where they are engaging their counterparts from 1st Company.

While your RO intercepts a message that details that your enemy is moving towards the bridge, the objective contested in this training exercise, you are wary of the fact that the enemy most likely knows that their communications are being monitored. In an attempt to avoid playing into their hands, you decide to move your platoon around and behind the last known location of your target.

You begin your trek up the hill, avoiding entering the town of Ogel. Urban environments are the worst enemy of armor; far too many hiding places to use against warriors whose primary weakness was their inability to observe the environment around them without forsaking their invincibility. In such close quarters, in an armor engagement, the winner would be decided by reaction time and luck; factors you would rather not depend on against a foe as purportedly talented in individual combat as 1st Company. Your successful ambush, which theoretically could not have gone better, would not be replicated against an enemy who knew you were coming.

“Von Tracht,” you hear the impulsive Von Reitberg contact you over the platoon network, “I saw something moving in the town.”

Von Reitberg, while quick when he wanted to be, was also exceedingly irrational if his blood was up. As far as you were concerned, what he saw could have been mere shadows, which manifested to him as a foe to conquer.

>”It’s probably nothing. Let’s keep going.”
>Move into the town to see if there is an enemy, and engage them

Welcome! Today we shall be leading a clan into a journey the likes has never been seen before. The god-talkers are listening and the ringmembers heed the call of you, the utmost spirits, in their quest on the road to becoming the Kings of Dragon Pass!

All choices will be prompted for you to make a d100 roll, and after a ten minute wait, the highest roll will be the selected choice.

If you are unfamiliar with what King of Dragon Pass is, consider reading the comprehensive manual here: http://a-sharp.com/kodp/ios/KoDP-Manual.pdf
Or just pick whatever sounds the most fun.

But first we must choose the fate, not of our clan, but of our clan's ancestry, for the lives of our ancestors matters just as much as the lives of our people, and our gods.

These choices coming soon

Oh shit nigger, it's king of dragon pass the quest. Fuck yeah
>>
There once was a time when gods and people walked the earth together. Your clan traces its ancestry back to those times. Your clan history begins when you joined forces with the storm god Orlanth. Back then, Orlanth was simply one of many upstart, rebellious gods bent upon conquest of the world. Orlanth's unique contributions at that time were personal honor and a close kinship to the other deities who seemed to be on the winning side.
>>
After many tribulations, adventures, and discoveries Orlanth proved himself worthy of marrying Ernalda, the Earth Mother. The two of them created the Marriage Ring and established great harmony in the world through this sacred bonding. Your clan took part in the wedding ceremony. Most clans either whooped with Orlanth, or learned a secret from Ernalda. A few clans stood with Elmal, God of Horses and the Sun as an honor guard.

How did you prepare for the great marriage?

1. Your men and women donned gleaming armor and stood guard with Elmal, to protect the celebrants from Orrlanth's many enemies.
2. Your men whooped with Orlanth and drank the Eight Known Drinks, so that their heads would hurt during the ceremony.
3. Your women withdrew with Ernalda, and learned a List of Names, which they promised not to repeat to the men.

d100 vote.

Looking for a journey through a strange land filled with monster girls and magic? Well, you came to the right place! This quest has an emphasis on world building, character-driven narrative, social interactions and combat.

Averagely I post from 6pm to ~10pm PST on weekdays and weekends are determined by my schedule.

Last time you talked to the the Dragon Lord Ryuga about the war in the land of Wa. Your friend Adrian started talking to a thunderbird named Raiko under Ryuga and you convinced him to hang out there to try and get him laid. You continued your travels to the demon lands where it seemed everyone wanted to fight you. That is until you defeated the young demon lord with incredible petting and head-pating skills. The young demon lord Shirabu decided that you were her older sister and since then you have acted as such. You decided to sort some things out at the demon castle and while doing so you discovered that Taka was spying on you. To throw her off you decided to adopt her as your younger sister as well. The only way to officially do so in the demon lands was via a blood ritual which you decided to follow through with. Despite the ritual, Taka continued to spy on you and after you confronted her again she told you that she worked for Shiromitsu the Kitsune Lord. As punishment, you are now keeping her on a short leash and had her perform another public blood ritual that required her to break all ties with Shiromitsu. You confronted a spy from the Snake Lord Kakuri and learned that there was a human sorceress under his employ which made you concerned. You decided that the war situation may be escalating and you needed to retrieve Adrian and then head to Kakuri as a full group. On your way back down you ran into Raiko who you managed to embarrass and arouse before going to see Ryuga once again. Now you are locked in conversation with Ryuga once more concerning the war and also Adrian.

“The time I spent wit the demon lord Shirabu was interesting if not enjoyable. Yes I did do a blood ritual with the kitsune to make her my little sister.” She looks almost disgusted as you speak. “Let me explain, I did it to test her loyalties and to be honest Lady Ryuga… as sentimental as it sounds my family died fairly recently and I wanted to remake it. The dragon queen laughs, “hahaha, if you wanted to remake a loving family those lying fur balls are the last place to start. I would have soon started with Shirabu herself!” You almost did, but that didn’t pertain to the topic at hand. “Lady Ryuga do you know anything pertaining to these blood rituals?” “Only that they are dangerous, demons have a tendency to make deals and bonds via blood, how they affect people can be interpretted in many ways, but the words spoken by the officiater tend to express clearly what is to happen. Or so I hear, as I have stayed far away from that nonsense.” That could be concerning, but you needed to push on. “Lady Ryuga, I have two final questions.” She remains silent and keeps her apprehensive eyes on yours. You look down as you ask, “How open would you be to talks with th other lords either individually or as a whole.” “Haha, I would love to talk peacefully but they refuse to aknolege me as the proper enheritor to the throne. If they would only see that submition was better than this fighting we wouldn’t have a war. Pride blinds the other lords from what is best. It is truly sad.” She says in a lull tone.” You still another question, “Do you know anything of the human sorceress in Kakuri’s employ?” The dragon lord perks up at this question, “Oh? I did not know of any sorceress, are they one of yours?” “Deffidently not, As far as we know we were the only humans on this plane. “Well minus that guy from back with the goblins, but he was still a mystery to you. “Interesting…” She waves her arms to some of her guards around her, “I am afriad I did not know of this, but I will look into it.” “Very well.”
>>
>>532754

Ohh you almost forgot, “Lady Ryuga we came here to pick up Adrian as well if that is alright.” “Yes, the young man… he has behaved himself well under our roof and Raiko has taken a particular liking to him. I think he is a little odd but he respects us as he should. He expressed his own wishes about leaving to meet up with you all but Raiko insisted that he stay here. If you wish to take him you will have to talk to her. I could tell her to deal with him leaving regardless but I do not dare to interfere with the heart of a young maiden.” Ryuga pauses, “Also… now might not be the best time to grab him.” “Why is that?” “Well….” all of a sudden you hear glass shattering and a large streak of lightning shooting out of a window from the palace. “Ohh it seems to have ended,” Ryuga comments, “But you would need to give the boy a day or so to recover. And after that, taking him away from Raiko may be almost impossible."

>If it's going to be hard to retrieve him now maybe we should do it after everything is said and done. Let's head to Kakuri without him.

You tell the devils, and by proxy everyone else, about your battle at the prison.

For the most part, they listen quietly. Though everyone with a tail cringes and clutches it when you get to the part about Pip getting hers caught...

When you're telling the kid friendly version of your trip through the hallway of slain guards, something in the kitchen starts to scream.

You only continue when everyone assures you that nothing is dying, the sound is just the hiss of the kettle. You decide not to ask why the kettle sounds like a screaming animal when it's 'done'. You feel like that's something you don't want to know...

After telling them about your encounter with "Terry", you go into the desperate race to reach the basement, and how the First Knight blocked your way, but you managed to push past the First knight and his barrier to get into the generator room and destroy it.

...

"And then I woke up 2 days later. With a massive headache, somehow feeling like i hadn't slept in weeks" You say. "But Caiah helped me get back to the Pride... and then I came back here"

The room is silent for a moment, until Fran puts up her hand.

"I have several questions" She says
"Me too" Emi says,
"Me three" Ilica says.
"M-me four!" Daisy says.

As you know, for each hour our agents remain missing the likelihood of their safe return becomes less a reality. Good luck and bring our agents home safely officer. Over and out.

The year is 1866, the location is England.

The time of myth has begun to fade, instead only existing in the world of romance and literature. Surely it seems as if the world has already reached a new, brighter age. However, no matter how bright a light may shine, it will always cast a shadow. Creatures beyond human comprehension lurk in these shadows, preying on the unsuspecting innocents. Even the bravest of men would turn turn white if they came face to face with one of these beasts. That's where you come in.

Your name is Edward Battel, and you come from a long line of heroes who have "special talents" that help them fight off the paranormal and the demonic. Legend has it that one of your ancestors slew a powerful vampire that plagued the country a couple hundred years back, and your grandfather supposedly cleared a small village of the undead with his gifts. Despite your family's reputation, however, you believe that is a crock of horse shit.

You have no special talents or magical abilities, and neither did your father. You've never come face to face with a spirit, a witch or any Vampire. You're a completely average man who takes advantage of your family's reputation. You pretend to know what you're talking about and scam people out of their money, in some scenarios you even fake instance of supernatural events. In short you are a con man.

Recently a letter arrived at your door step, it came from a family friend of yours asking for your aid. Reports of a shadowy figure have been spotted in the town, and some of the villagers have gone missing. Seeing this as an attempt to make bank you've sent word out to him that you've accepted his request, for a price of course.

Mid Day
Standard fare for the time, i'm sure he has a "Vampire hunting kit" or "Ghost hunting kit" or the like
Bring an accomplice, always nice to have someone watching your back

You schedule a coach to arrive to pick you up around mid day, after all it gives you time to prepare.

For one you have to make sure you've been properly cleaned up, you can't arrive to a new place and look like some commoner. While you might not exactly be rich, persay, you always want to present yourself in a memorable, distinguished manner. You chose your best clothes, including a well trimmed cape, and your best bowler had. All in all you certainly don't have the appearance of a grizzled demon slayer, but one more befitting of a rich noble. Exactly the kind of air you want to give off.

Of course you spent far more time fixing yourself up than you did preparing your tools. After all, you've done this before so you already have what you need. You have typical vampire slaying fare, a wooden stake, several pounds of salt, a lengthy rope, and a decently sized cross bow in case things get hairy. However, you have a few... Strange items packed in as well. A set of matches, some lighter fluid, ten smoke bombs, and several nails inside of a pouch.

Your plan was to,of course, make sure you had some kind of out in case you wanted to high tail it back home early. As in you'd probably dig up some corpse, pretend it was some vampire or zombie, and set the damn thing on fire. As long as you ended up getting paid, you didn't care if you actually solved their problem or not.

As soon as you're finished getting ready, you exit your home to find the coach already waiting for you outside. In the back seat of the coach you can see somebody fidgeting around, likely the companion you've asked to accompany you on this trip. Now...Who did you ask to visit you again?

>Beatrix Belclaire, Your cousin. She seems to have inherited your family's blood more than you have, and takes the business seriously.

>Thomas O hare, a good friend of yours and a professor in history at a near by university. He has a lot of worldly knowledge and is an expert on other cultures.

>Samiul Hopkinson, an expert at illusions and trickery. A thief who has great slight of hand, who's good with smoke and mirrors.

We're probably going to encounter supernatural enemies. She seems like the best person to deal with that kind of problem.

Twelve years ago today the Umbra was lost to us. The old masters are missing presumed dead, as are innumerable amounts of lore and artifacts. We have recovered, to an extent, but not nearly to the levels that we once were. The only bright side is that the Ascension War has, for the most part, ended. You are a leader of one of the surviving Chantries, a place where mages can live, work magic, and store their lore.

But first, what are you?

Anyone want explanations of the various factions? If so, which ones?
>>
>>537703
I'm not familiar with any of the factions. Do you have a pastebin that explains them?
>>
>>537758
Not a pastebin, but I'll give you the cliffnotes (I forgot that not everyone is familiar with Mage the Ascension)

Order of Hermes: Old fashioned wizards, with the robes, the wands, and all that good stuff.

Celestial Chorus: Religious miracle-workers. The mainstream subscribes to a universalist religion, but there's members of most religions among them.

Euthanos: Assassins, and death cultists. Work to balance karma by punishing people who do bad things and rewarding people who do good.

Cult of Ecstasy: Use sex, drugs, and rock and roll to see beyond the illusion that is reality.

Dreamspeakers: Traditional shamans and medicine men from native cultures around the world.
