Last time on Dragon Quest we entered a fucking castle which was reported to have a sickness in the people residing in it, we also got a fancy hotel, talked to some people about letting our son become the Kaiser of the German Empire, and so far we're actually getting closer to seeing that dream become a possibility.

As you enter the castle, you see easily that the lights are all off, you can't see very well thanks to that, not to mention cobwebs in the corners, dust everywhere, and a notable lack of people. No bodies, no humans, no nothing. You found yourself in the middle of what seems to be a kitchen, complete with food. Fresh food, from the looks of it, as there is a single plate with a few scraps of food, and you deduce it as a simple meal of bratwurst. Of course you take your leave and go to the left down a particularly well-furnished hallway, and you continue down the hall for a little bit, admiring some paintings of previous rulers and their pets, such as cats, dogs, parrots, and in one case, a horse. Of course, your stroll leads you to a staircase going up. A small sign reads "Observatory & Study". You briefly consider going back, as there were two other hallways. The second of which had blank stone walls, lacking decour, and the third had shields and steel knightly statues.

Actions.

>...Maybe you should "borrow" a few of those paintings. No one is here after all.
>Go up the stairs.
>Go back down the hallway and take the second hallway.
>...Third hallway is always the charm.
>Head back to Frankizka.
>Yell to see if anyone's here.
>...Fuck this, see if you can smoke out whoever lives here. You don't have the time to investigate.
>Write-In
>>

>>...Third hallway is always the charm.
>>
You decide against going into this room, as it seems useless to you at the time. Instead you walk back down the hallway, into the kitchen, and into the third hallway.

You can't help but feel like your being watched by the metal knight statues, and eventually you get to the other side of the room. You see the small sign of "Servant Quarters & Guest Rooms".

Current Form: Human

Actions.

>...Go into this room. Or rooms.
>What the hell is in the second hallway then?
>Go back towards the Observatory & Study.
>Shapeshift.
>Write-In
>>
>>534916
>>What the hell is in the second hallway then?
>>
You decide to take a peek down the second hallway, which besides a red carpet is completely barren. You eventually come to the end of the hallway, where you see yet another sign... And hear coughing on the other side of the door. Putting priorities first, you read the sign, which says "Private Chambers".

Actions.

>...Well, this is obvious. Go into the room!
>Head to the Observatory & Study.
>Go into the Servant Quarters & Guest Rooms.
>Head back to Frankizka, you don't want to go in alone.
>...Shapeshift.
>Write-In
>>
>>534970
>Head to the study.

Maybe we can find blackmail stuff.
>>
>>534979
Good plan. Seconded.
>>
You slink towards the Observatory and Study, and open the door cautiously. You easily see green blotches in the wall, and the very moisture in the room feels... Arid. But besides that, you see plenty of books, the most interesting of them seems to be a personal journal. Besides books, you see a rather large telescope pointed out towards the sky, and see some inane writing in chalk on the walls...

Actions.

>Take a look through this telescope.
>...Examine the blotches.
>Read that fucking personal journal. How convenient!
>...Try to understand the writing on the walls. (Intelligence, HARD)
>Shapeshift in order to multitask!
>Head back.
>...Take a closer look through those books. What was he studying?
>Write-In
>>
>>535000
>Read the personal journal.
Then afterwards
>Try to understand the writing on the wall.
>>
>>535000
>...Take a closer look through those books. What was he studying?
>Take a look through this telescope.
>>
You pick up the personal journal... After a brief minute glancing through the pages, you easily summarize the book. Really is nice to have a brain the size of a large house, isn't it? Well, technically two brains in your draconic form. In addition you take a glance through the books the Elector was studying, and it seems he had a interest in jeu de paume judging from countless books on it, and a few physics books. Oh, and a few books about zoology or something.

The book seems to be divided into three parts, the first part focusing about researching strange stellar movements, the second part mostly being about a disease moving through the castle, and the third part being... Well, strange. You don't really follow it.

Actions.

>...Read all segments of the book.
>Read the part you don't really follow.
>Strange stellar movements?
>...Oooh, sickness. This is a specialty. Kind of.
>Do something else.
>Maybe you should go through all the other books for something interesting? (Intelligence, HARD)
>...Firstly, go look through the telescope.
>Write-In
>>
>>535046
>Go through the books for something interesting.

Good Success!

You find in these books a rather interesting thing. A letter, addressed to the Elector here from someone called the Prince of Orange.

Actions.

>...Read that fucking letter!
>...Shapeshift and tell Flames to read you the letter while you page through the book.
>Pocket the letter for later.

Flames, do we know anyone called the Prince of Orange?

Last time I checked, that's a no.

You open the unsealed letter and begin reading it.

My friend, I thank you firmly for your speech in front of the Imperial Diet for supporting Dutch independence. As per our agreement, I have sent you a great deal of money and as you requested, a few strange gems I think you'll find a interest in. I will contact you soon enough, and maybe with a few more public acts you'll be debt free.

With that, the letter ends there.

Actions.

>Pocket it and leave!
>...Continue examining the room.
>Just put the letter back.
>Leave this place.

Borderline Success!

After looking at this... Scribbling, only a few words stand out to you. Mostly "Czech", "Lion", or something. You don't precisely understand WHAT this guy was fucking doing, but there's calculations of something, pie charts, the whole scientific process in this room...

Actions.

>...Right, well take a look through that telescope.
>...Flames, please tell me you understood more then me.
>...Just take notes about this on a piece of paper. You can study this later.

Flames, please tell me you understood more than me.

Fuck if I know. Honestly I'm just wondering why this guy is studying so hard. Isn't he supposed to rule a a nation or something instead of being a scientist or something?

...Great. So you don't know what the fuck this means?

Nope, not at all.

You eventually finish taking notes and leave... And feel a sharp pain in your muscles. Huh. That's new. So you take a glance towards them, and you see that your once insane muscular structure has... Become less insane?
Your muscles are no longer literally bulging whenever you move, and they merely bulge on flexing. This is a travesty!

The curse has taken effect! You have lost one Body.
This curse will only be applied once per thread anons. Or when a suitable amoutn of time has passed.

You feel tired and hungry, no doubt from the pain you just felt.
Wait. Pain? You don't feel "pain". Why the fuck did you feel pain?

Actions.

>...Go down to the private chambers.
>Servant Quarters?
>...Leave this damned castle.
>You're in the kitchen, right? Find a snack or something.
>Write-In

>>535255
>Go to private chambers

Well this is bad news.
>>
You head to the private chambers, and open the door. It smells... Terrible. You can barely tolerate the stench coming from this room.
The room is well-decorated, but you see right in the middle of the room, on a velvet bed, a very, very sick man. His very skin is a light green, and judging from him being in this room, is most likely the Elector here. It seems he's actually too sick to even notice you come in, and he weakly groans.

Actions.

>...Ignore him, and look around this room.
>Time to go up to this sick man. Maybe you can diagnose him?
>...Erh, dragons could still in theory get a disease. Leave this place.

Actions.

You hear a bang on the other side of the door.

"Hell no. You might be sick or something!" You hear, muffled through the door.

Actions.

"Plans change."

"Right... So, what did you need me to do?"

Actions.

>...Nothing much besides help me diagnose a sick guy and cure him.

"Well, I have an idea on what this is."

Actions.

"Yes, I suspect he would of died in a few days. Either from starvation or from this disease."

"...I'll find you those herbs."

"Good."

She turns to the Elector and begins poking at the skin, and begins to take out something from her dress. Some sort of a potion.

"...You know, I find it strange how you wear clothes essentially from the European Renaissance and no one really notices."

"Probably because I'm around you." She says while she pours the red potion down the man's mouth.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You don't have the best taste in clothes, like most people in Sweden, you know." She tosses the potion to the side and goes for another thing.

"Yeah, I'm going now." You make a path for the door, but she interrupts that.

"It's true, you know."

You can't help but pause at the door.

"We're from essentially two different time periods. My clothes might be strange to you but my clothes are clearly modern. And they aren't as cliche as yours."

"...My clothes are cliche?"

"Well, yes. For a vampire."

"How in Sigmar's name does that work?"

"...It's clearly obvious. You wear a black dress, and in most vampire fiction female vampires wear black dresses."

"Yeah. Anyways, I need to focus on the patient right now, can you go and get those damned herbs?"

Actions

>...Right. I'm just saying that maybe you shouldn't wear obvious "oh look I'm a fucking vampire" tier clothes.
>...I'm going now. (Timeskip)
>...How the fuck did we end up talking about clothes?
>Why don't you be like one of my daughters and wear chain mail around? I find it rather fashionable.
>Well, at least you have a heart of gold. Even if you might wear a black dress.
>Eh, that can hold on for a little bit.

Borderline Success!

After gathering some herbs and other things throughout the castle, you note some of the symptoms of the man are beginning to fade.

"How's he looking?"

"...He's getting slightly better. Not too much though."

"Is he stable?"

"Well, yes."

You can't help but yawn loudly.

"I'm going to sleep soon. It's been a long day."

"Good luck with that then."

"Yeah..."

A few minutes of silence go by while you sit on a chair.

"So, Renexizious..."

"What?"

"I didn't particularly think you were into Necromancy."

"...Necromancy?"

"Yeah."

"By Odin, how did you figure that one out?"

"Well, I saw you had a ancient skeleton roaming around in your dungeon."

"...Was it sentient?"

"Well, yes. That's the strange thing, really."

"So you mean Marcus?"

"Right. That's what it called itself."

"I haven't seen that skeleton for a while. Huh."

"So, mind if I ask how the hell you learned to summon sentient undead?"

Actions.

>What, are you lonely or something?
>...Why are you asking me this?

"Right. Why are you bringing this up anyways? It seems a little random."

"...I was intending to ask you at some point. I figured since the two of us have a break I would ask."

"...Break?"

"That's just uh... Well, now I feel stupid. Thanks for that."

"Stupid?"

"Because right now there's a sick man I'm taking care of and I'm just talking to you. I'm just going back to work now, alright?"

Actions.

>...Listen, if you want to talk that's fine. You said it yourself that he's in a stable condition.

She nods her head and goes back to work.

"Thanks for what?"

You go to sleep right on the chair in a matter of seconds.
You have a strange dream, mostly about cats or something. Thousands of cats, all over you... They're adorable, fluffy, and meowing. Hu-

"Renexizious?"

You groan loudly.
"Yeah... How's the elector doing?"

"...Good. He started convulsing while you slept though."

You open your eyes completely, and note the Elector isn't on the bed anymore.

"Where the fuck is he?"

"He recovered during the night after the convulsions."

"So he's fine?"

"He's... Decent. He still has a fever, chills, and shortness of breath. And he can't walk straight."

"Well, that's tolerable. Where is he now?"

"Well, I moved him to the kitchen."

"What, were you going to feed him or something?"

"Well, yes."

After struggling for a few minutes of dealing with minor shock, you shake it off and get up.

"Yeah, no problem."

"...Well let's get going, alright?"

"Alright..."

After a little while you leave the room and try to find the kitchen, which you remember was near the entrance. Eventually you take a seat at the long wooden table where the Elector seems to be sitting, albit looking rather terrible.

"...Erh... Hello?"

"Ah. Revenaris Thorsonn."

"...You must be Renexizious then. Well, I'm honored by your visit."

"Yes... It should be in the servants quarters."

"Ah, thank you."

You wait a little longer and Frankizka gives the two of you a meal. It seems to be a simple meal of lamb chops.

After you finish and clean your mouth with a napkin, you head to the servants quarter, pick up the phone, and call your son.

"Hello? Prince-Elector?" The servant on the other end answers.

"Erh, no. It's me. Renexizious."

"Ah. I presume you want to talk to your son and not the Duchess?"

"Let me think... How about fuck no?"

"Very well. I shall get your son."

After a few minutes the phone picks up again.

"Hello?"

"Dad?"

"Yep. I need you down in Bavaria, I need you to tell the Prince-Elector your policy positions."

Erh. You guys haven't been saying much, if anything at all.

Right now I'm content to let you just fuck around for a little bit, I'm still trying to destress.

...You know, the whole Reinhold incident. And countless others.

So your still mad at me?

Yeah.

Me?

Yeah. Why aren't you talking?

I'm just hanging out with Flames. Sorry.

"Elector guy?"

"Right... At that point nearly all of Europe would be under your thumb. Or claw. Or whatever you have."

"...I prefer claw, thank you very much."

"Right... And I assume that I'm the deciding vote?"

"Well, yes."

Critical Success!

"Listen, I think I know how you should do this. Just be confident, look him straight in the eye, and don't be afraid to stare."

"...Thanks dad, I'll take it to heart."

In a matter of two minutes, your son goes from talking about how he'll make the Empire great, and he goes towards establishing a very... Dominating presence. As in, he stares down Theobald, and the very air goes tense at this. Theobald sweats nervously.

"W-well... I-I suppose your words have a certain ring to them. I'll support you."

"I'm glad to hear it."

Your son confidently leaves Theobald and goes back to you.

"Holy fuck that worked.

"I told you."

"Yeah. Huh."

Your son now has Intimidating Presence, which grants him a +3 if doing passive intimidation, and a +5 if doing active intimidation. (As in threatening them)

"Well, come on kid. We're going to make the Kaiser retire."

"How?"

Actions.

>That's easy. You'll just shapeshift, go up to his imperial palace, and demand he resign.

An hour later you board a train headed straight for Berlin. You also get to sit with your son again. Jesu- You mean, Thor damn it, you must be lucky to sit with someone you know.

The two of you sit in near silence.

Good Success!

As you arrive in Berlin you order Frankizka to find some blackmail on the Kaiser. She nods and begins to walk off.

"...Well, I suppose that leaves us some time."

"How is she supposed to find blackmail?"

"Huh? That's easy. Just find the nearest brothel and start asking questions."

"...Nevermind then dad."

"This is important stuff for a ruler to know. Now, let's find a place to relax, it'll take a while."

You and Revenaris take a short walk around Berlin, mostly just waiting for time to go by.
Eventually, after six hours of waiting Frankizka meets up with you.

"So, you found something?"

"...Yeah, but I'm exhausted."

"What took you so long anyways?"

"Come on, you try finding blackmail for a specific person in a city this huge."

"What is it?"

She yawns loudly.

"Well I have a letter addressed to him from the United States, from the previous president and evidence of him taking a bribe to act aggressive towards you."

Also QM, a question. Can we talk to christian god sometimes soon? I'd like to figure out how big / many a good act we need to get him off our back. I imagine fixing world hunger, curing Alzheimer's or peacefully converting most of the world would get him back on our side but I essentially want a single question answered;

What do we need to do to repent, can we kinda pay back god enough that he will reverse all effects of the curse / cure us?

Alright anons, I'm back.

"If you want we can relax for a few days. I'll be taking care of this matter personally."

...Fuck, finding blackmail is actually quite hard in a city this large, and for a soverign no less. Hell, you bet you would find blackmail on yourself quite easily... Hell, you even pulled out all the stops... You asked bartenders (Who just looked at you funny), whores (Who quickly realized you weren't going to give them money for their art), and even orphans! (Who nearly stole your shoes, twice.)

This fucking city sucks.

Actions.

"Yeah, see you."

He hangs up.

"Well, it's out of my claws now. Heh."

You decide to pass the time by a mixture of sightseeing and checking the time. Eventually around nightfall Claw arrives.

"Hey, Rene-"

"Damn it, we're trying to be sneaky. Don't yell my name in a place like this, it'll draw attention."

"Shit, sorry."

"No problem. Now, I need you to get evidence on the Kaiser. It's not hard at all."

What time will you be back?

That's... Going to vary. I might be up around 3 PM West Coast Time, but that's a variable in and out of itself.

We need to patch things up with Flames, it's not right being in a hateful relationship with our second head.

We also need to get god to either stop or reverse the curse.

I can think of multiple ways to do this but really we need to hear from god to find out if we even can.

Are we gonna go full saint and try and make up for our misdeads?
>>

Well I can think of a few ways;

1) Actually ask god what we would need to do to get him to stop the curse. Then do that and possibly some of the other options.

2) Perform various objectively good deeds, even if god still hates us people will like us. This odd to improve our general situation on earth.

3) Eliminate / convert his followers to other religions, thus weakening the curse if not outright eliminating it.

4) Find a god willing to counter god's curse in return for our support. Possible but unlikely.

5) Accept the curse and try to repent without contacting god.

If we are going to repent I have some ideas for both objectively good deeds and also good "godly" deeds.

Alright anons, I'm back for a little bit.

"Frankizka?"

"What?"

"I need you to blackmail the Kaiser, the plan is nearly done. We're literally in the finishing stage now."

"Say no more. Hand me the evidence and I'll be on my way."

Your husband hands you a letter and some other pieces of paper.

"Good luck."

You leave...

Anons, roll me a 1d20.

As you head to the palace where Claw got his evidence, you see that the feast has clearly come to an end... Along with extremely heavy security, not to mention the local law enforcement out front. Oh, and news reporters, crowds of civilians, that sort of thing.

Actions.
