For the past week my Rav 4 2004 sometimes takes two-three times longer to start after turning the ignition. I'm pretty uneducated when it comes to cars but can i get an idea of whats wrong with it?

My gf is looking for a compact suv. So far we have narrowed it down to the 2017 Buick Encore, 2017 Forester, or 2017 HRV. AWD is prefferd but not a deal breaker. She is leaning more to the Buick because its the more luxurious of the 3. Most of her driving is on the Highway to and from work but we do take drives up to The colorado moutains but only once a year. Other than that just city driving and taking our dog to the lake. Which does /o/ think os the best CUV

Dutchfag here, I went to the German master race autobahn saturday as a last minute decision with a friend of me. I tried to max out my new car, but I was only able to reach 186 km/h (115.5 mph) (GPS) (with around 220 kg in the car including passengers).
It's a Mazda CX-5 2.0 165 hp, I even did my best by falling for the 98 octane meme (engine has compression ratio of 15).
What did I do wrong? I tried doing it in 6th gear and never in 5th gear, was that my mistake? At 186 km/h the engine was doing around 4250 rpm in 6th gear.
The manual says the top speed is 200 km/h. I would like to reach 200 at least on the speedometer.

yes. You need to weld up mounts for the diff (or weld in the trunk floorpan from a GT-Four). If you want to pass emissions, you need a pre-1996 car. OBD2 emissions were mandated in America in 1996, but weren't required in Japan until 2003/2004.

Hey guys, first time posting, 1 month of incessant lurking. Kinda total noob too, but I'm trying hard to learn.
I just got my driver's license and my parents want to buy me a cheap, used car. The problem is that here in Italy I cannot drive a vehicle that has more than 70kW, nor more than 55kW/Ton.
What car would you suggest for being pleasant to drive and all in all good to own? We are obviously not going for performance here.

I've been working a minimum wage job and have saved up 3,500$. It's time for my first car.
My grandpa wants to give me his avenger for free, it has less than 30,000 miles. I find nothing appealing about the car, it's slow as shit and I hate the fucking red ass color. My family's trying to make me feel guilty for rejecting it but id rather buy a trans am or something with my hard earned money. What would you do /o/? I wouldn't feel right selling it after he gave it to me either. Its probably worth a good 8-9 grand since its in perfect condition condition with less than 30k miles.

Hey /o/, looking for a cheap fun car for around ~2000 euros. I live in The Netherlands so no USDM cars.
Currently driving a Seat Córdoba (VW Polo sedan) with the 1.6 SR (101hp) engine but I don't really like it. It's quite boring and I don't like the gearbox and handling of it.
So looking for something with good handling and a good gearbox, don't really care about performance. Already have a motorcycle for that.
Any suggestions?
