If you grew up in the 90s you are the BOOMERS of tomorrow

You will over value 90s Japanese turbo cars....
a>MKiV Supra with "original" 2JZGTE
>FD RX7 with TT wenkel
>300zx TT with T-Tops

You will import GTR Skylines and other 90s nostalgia

Prices of rare Japanese cars will triple
>NSX will be your Cuda

Lotus, Aston (and Morgan I guess), Porsche, Alfa, and the Cadillac logo in that pic.

So many of them don't really mean shit, I like the ones wirh a little history or something to them. Saab is kinda cool as well.

What's stopping me from taking a lease on a car and just disappearing forever?

Can they find me and make me pay anything back?

Had a similar idea...

If you are upside down on your car payment, and just want to voluntary repo. What is stopping one from taking it on a trip to central America, and calling up the dealer there, and catching a flight back?
>>
>>15630536
Idk man, probably could work

My investment banker was a con who stole 10k from me (money I was planning on using to pay off my car) so now I either have to runaway forever to keep my car or let it get repoed

Hey /o/ I have an Acura Integra and whenever I'm driving with my low beams at night people seem to flash their high beams at me as to say that I don't have lights on but my top lights don't turn on unless I need high beams. How do I tell if my low beams are too low because I know for a fact my high beams will blind people going the opposite of me.

People flash their head lights at you because you're blinding them, your headlights are probably too high or have too much glare.
>>
>>15630506
That's the thing my low beams cannot be that bright and that's what I'm usually using at night assuming what your saying is actually true how do I remedy this?

Your pop-ups don't come up with the low beams?

Alright /o/ so I fully plan on buying an R32 within the next year as a weekend car. Problem is I can't find any good ones on craigslist that aren't the GTST model or have the RB26 but are like $30k. Where can I actually find a decent R32 that isn't retardedly expensive. My price range is around $15k. I live in NJ btw
38 posts and 16 images submitted.
>>
Get a 1k project and invest 14k into that instead of buying a 15k car from the 90s
>>
The R32 was never available in the US, at least the GTR version, not sure about the other trims. That means finding one in the US is rare, finding one for sale is even more rare, thus the high price point Your best bet is to extend your Craigslist search to other NJ counties or other states. Or try ebay too. Or if you can't find anything, you're only other option is to import directly from japan. Try tradecarview.com, they always have R32's for sale straight from the island of the rising sun. The GTR R32 models (the best ones) can be bought for around 10k on there if you're lucky. Non GTR versions are cheaper usually

How come so many Filipino owned cars are neglected?

I know this may sound racist but Filipino families tend to never change their oil and drive around on bald tyres.. Even if they are well off and have a nice car they do this.

What is up with Filipinos?

Knowledge of motor vehicles and maintenance isn't passed on through families because vehicle ownership is usually only within a few generations.

Like most immigrants from second / third world countries.

Something's been bugging me for a while.
GM C/K trucks, even the newer Silverado/Sierra's.

You can't convert a 2WD truck to 4WD because the actual frame is different between the 2. Why is the frame different? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to use 4WD frames on all the trucks?

And that brings up another point. All the lowering performance suspension is only available for 2WD trucks.

>inb4 lift it
I actually have a useable penis.
20 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>15629980
The frame is different because you're adding a fucking transfer case and axle up front, as well as the 4wd trucks are usually the heavy duty ones. Have you ever actually been under a 4wd truck?

You're also forgetting something, you lower a 2wd truck because it isn't going off road, it isn't hauling huge loads, it's usually a half-ton truck being lowered, they are great light duty/daily rides, and certain trucks look good lowered, they save the 4wd and 3/4 ton and up ones for the work rigs.

Can you modify cars (performance and visuals) in Europe? I can't find any associated legislature and I'm genuinely curious. For example, have Underground Racing mod an R8 (the 1500hp option with twin/quad turbos and a modified engine) and ship it to Greece. As long as I stated the changes would that be legal or would bureaucracy kick my ass?

>pic hopefully not related

>>
>>15629788

Yes modding is legal in all of Europe, but laws vary per country.

Also good luck with Greek bureaucracy
>>
In Portugal every modification, be it cosmetic or mechanic is illegal. You can, however, go through the proper channels and have cosmetic mods homologated.
But even then, it's not certain they'll be approved and it'll cost you.
Mechanic mods are straight up illegal.

IIRC, it's the same in Spain.

Complete retard when it comes to rear-end shit, so looking for some advice.

My truck is absolute dogshit in the rain, even with brand new tires. Can't hardly pull out anywhere without spinning because of muh one-wheel drive.

I've been looking into installing a mini-spool because they are cheap, and easy to install, but from what ive been reading they eat tires.

My question is how badly do they do so, and am I just being a retard for wanting to install one in the first place.

I only drive 10~ miles a day, so not really a concern there.

Any input appreciated because 3dumb when it comes to that shit.

ALSO: How shit is 3.08 gearing, and would 3.73 be an upgrade worth doing? (parts truck has a 3.73 ratio rear end, so cost would be nothing basically.)

Truck is a 93 C1500, rear end code GU4, i THINK it's the GM 8.5, but as said prior, am retard with this shit.

GM's rears are all trash. I would suggest if your having that much issue upgrade to a more heavy duty axle first with a better rear break config for better pedal feel. Get away from that JB5 shit. Also I really love my 3.42's Great hiway gear and p good in city and slight towing of my 18' bass boat. 3.73's would be alittle more tow'y. Can't comment on mpg's as the only platform I have 3.73s in is a suburban and it automatically has 1,000lbs on these pickemups.
>>
>>15629831

2x

A locked rear is not going to help you in the rain. Pull out slower and buy tires with better wet traction next time

You're sitting at the lights when this thing pulls up next to you. He revs his engine, his fart can rattles. You look across to see this guy sitting in the driver's seat located on the right side (JDM tyte, bro). You make eye contact.

He turns his head right back and stares forward but it's too late. It's time for obliteration.

There are no speed cameras, and no cops. What are you driving? What do you cook ricers in?
