How do I get over my fear of driving on the freeway?
No matter what I do I'm always on edge.
>have to keep an eye out for the exits so I don't miss them
>have to drive at lethal speeds for extended period of time
>that semi-truck on your right could easily ram my car and obliterate me
>that driver in front of me looks drunk, this is the fucking end
i just shatter into pieces from the anxiety and paranoia

I want an XJS, it looks like they're going up in value a bit. Is the V12 worth the maintenance?

>>
>>15617562
Of you pay more than 10k for a clean v12 you're doing it wrong. Keep the original engine or buy a different car.
>>
>>15617596
better yet, pull the engine, keep the engine and get a different car.

First time in /o/ but I rarely need your assistance.

I have a 2016 Mazda 3 the new shape one, which has developed two problems for which I'd like your advice on solving:

1 - the car has developed a shudder when I accelerate from a stop. My dad proposes that its because when I reverse out my driveway I never stop fully, I just put it into D while still rolling back (very slowly) and accelerate to go. Is this possible? what are the likely costs to fix?

2 - the driver seat has worn out and fabric has partially split, this is almost certainly due to me wearing a velcro belt. I'm more upset about this, but will just getting strong canvas seat covers be a solution for this? I obviously can't fix what has been done but will it get any worse with covers on?

Thanks in advance.

It's under warranty. Go to the dealer and have them fix it.

Should've bought a civic for 3k.
>>
>>15617416

Slight problem, I did do that for the transmission (not the seats, obviously) and it is not covered as I haven't done any of the servicing and it's now got 30,000 on it, I did an oil change myself though but no dealership or 'professional' services so they are already claiming it is not covered.

Can they do that? should I go to another dealer or call Mazda?
>>
>>15617422
A transmission does not need servicing before 30k. Try a different dealer.

>2016
>put 30k miles on a car in one year
>buying new
>already managed to fuck it up
You're a fucking idiot. Your resale value is fucked. You really should've bought a civic for 3k or maybe an LS400 or Panther.

I would try a heat gun/hair dryer and gently pick at the edges. Be patient. You could try soaking it in hot water too.

This thread is for discussion regarding Hyundai, Kia and Genesis brands.

Please, I am not "shilling" this because I am paid to... Rather, I genuinely enjoy them.

They might not be the fastest, but they do have a comfy 'sunday morning with grandmama' kind of ride, impressive build quality, not to mention a tech package that wont give you a headache. Best value on the market!

My grandpa bought a Kia Cadenza that was pretty comfy and nice overall. At least, it would have been if he wasn't driving, old fart will probably kill himself driving. Looks nice from the outside too, not as overdesigned and edgy as other modern cars.

If you think the cops camera had a chance of seeing your plate, it probably already did. You would need to be blowing by a parked vehicle so they don't have a chance to even get close.

You better have a fast nondescript motorcycle to have any good chance OP.

I'm about to get a crew cab Chevrolet Colorado 2006, 2WD, 230 000k. I have little information to go by on the internet and I'm unsure why these aren't as comparable to the Ford Ranger in terms of production size.
What's another low, small truck besides the Tacoma, even more rare Canyon, or even the Hilux.

If you had a line up of all $40k sedans made today in silver that aren't a Cadillac or a Lexus and pulled the badges off I guarantee you few regular people would be able to tell you which car belongs to which band.

Hey /o/, any of you car mechanics by trade? I'm thinking about pursuing it as a career. I really enjoy working on my car, and working on cars my friends own, getting them running right tuning them up etc. It's something I enjoy doing and something I'm good at.

What's it like being an auto tech at a small shop? Stealership? Stress level? What's the money like? I'd be fine with "you won't be rich but you'll never go hungry" + some for projects.

Any input greatly appreciated, thanks /o/

Ask yourself if you've ever seen a happy mechanic. Your job is something you are good at. Your hobby is something you enjoy doing. If you make your hobby your job, you kill the love for it.

Found this on carmax. I don't like the new body mustang plus I'll be taking a hit on the depreciation on the new one. The boss 302 seem to keep their value
