>>15643751

>>15643751
>buying anything else other than german, italian or french tyres
>>15643751
>meme
I don't think you know what that word means.
on my way to buy a 2016 civic manual
just wanted to tell you morons and lmao at how you're still working on your own cars in 2016
>that build quality
>that warranty
>that redesign
>those lines
get fucked poorfags
>>15643734
>buying a shitty civic for 20k+
You could get a lightly used luxury car for that much.
>needing a warranty
Poorfag

So a nigger figured out he can't afford a 5 series then panic sold it to carmax? No thanks
I keep hearing sort of lightish clunking/grinding noise coming from the front right passenger side on my 07 Ford Fusion.
I don't know shit about cars, but I jacked it up to see if maybe there was anything stuck down there but I didn't see anything. It did look like the whole engine seemed to moved around when I rotated the floating tire, but I'm not sure if this is normal.
Can anyone help?
>>15643688
Could be:
Axle
Motor mount
Ball joint
Stuck brake caliper
Blown strut
Pleas be more specific. It should be a law that people like you need go take a class about vehicle maintenance before driving and owning a car
>>15643688
When does it make the noise? Acceleration? Braking? Over bumps?
>>15643718
i would pay money and go to such a class even if i didn't have to. there's fuck all resources for learning general car repair though. everytime I ask I get told to read my owners manual which just tells me to take it to the dealer.
>>15643771
only comes up when I'm actually moving; nothing when i rev in idle. I've heard the noise after bumps, braking, and accelerating accelerating
in terms of what it should be, this board might be the biggest fail of all of 4chan.
prove me wrong. find any other board where the vast majority of the threads are full of shit with respect to the board topic.
/ck/ is a close competitor. no other board sucks like this one and /ck when it comes to discussing the supposed board topic.
seriously: a fucking eternal sticker thread?

Who made you board nazi?
>>15643594
anyone else drives this goldie?dont mind the gheto behind i was just driving there until i found a spot to picture the car and didnt pay attention to the backround lol Audi 80A4 1994 1.9TDI
>>15643554
also i have 0 rust on it, no engine problems and i just have to re-paint it, only 5 liters consumation on 100km/
>>15643643
My friend has one and he loves it.
Although his heater matrix has just gone, and that's a really shit job. Fairly common fault as well.
>>15643643
>i have 0 rust on it
no wonder, champ. the chassis of these were fire-galvanized
>1.9tdi
>no engine problems
also not surprising, one of the most indestructible engines vw ever pumped out
>5l/100
didn't expect anything else, they're efficient as fuck but ecofaggots begin to rage and can't fucking wrap their brain around the fact that 20 years old cars can be efficient and because they're so old, are even dozens of times more eco friendly than all those faggy new eco cars.
Alright /o/, I've got 4k to drop on a new daily
Here are my requirements:
>I6 or V8
>RWD
>2 Doors
>Imported (Euro or Jap)
Currently looking at CLK430 or SC400/300
I'm an experienced mechanic so don't hold back due to maintenance
Pic related
Let's see what you got!
Car is on the heavy side. However, the ride is more sound than in a sports car. Air condition is phenomenal. Audio is decent. Car is long so watch out for that.
Mercedes-Benz C124 or C126
E36 maybe?
Parts will be expensive and I'm pretty sure an M3 is out of reach.
What do you guys tell your normie non-enthusiast friends to buy when they're looking for a car?
>answer is always Mazda 3
Fiesta, Focus, or Fusion depending on how big they want
>>15643131
Suv: mazda cx5
Compact: mazda 3 or focus
Sub compact: mazda 2 or fiesta
I'm thinking of getting pic related, it's a '74 for 6K. Does /o/ approve of the C3 or would I be better off with a C4? Performance isn't my number one goal but I would definitely get at the very least new heads and pistons for a compression ratio bump up. A weekend cruiser with some pickup is really what I'm looking for but a C4 and C5 are also options but I'm not looking to spend more than 10K.
Every single c3 is a smog era turd with less pick up than literally the shittiest modern cars. Get something with an LS1
>>15642981
if you can find a decent c4 i would go with that but i dont know how much engine work you can do to them
if you do what >>15643114 said and get an LS you can pretty much do what you want since theres a lot of aftermarket
they suck stock
both the c3 and c4
mod it or dont get one
hello /o/ i own a white 91 dodge dynasty 3.3L v6 like pic related. i've been thinking of giving it some aesthetics. but i'm pretty minimalist i guess. although i do want it to not look stock. i could add a stripe or something, or different rims. i don't know what i'm looking for. ideas?
Tint, clear side markers, white plastidip on trim and wheels
>>15642945
your best bet would be some aftermarket wheels (avoid rota), and lowering the suspension. These guys can help you out.

Most of the forum is dedicated to Chrysler's turbocharged K-platform cars. Your Dodge Dynasty is based on an extended K-platform.
Light it on fire.
What is the best type of paint to use to paint a plastic grill without a paint gun/compressor?
>its definitely not rustoleum
>>15642933
Don't do this. Its a faggy way to make your car look shitty, hotrodded, and worse when trying to resell it.
Plastidip cans if you must.
>>15642956
not true. i painted my car and it looks better.
>>15642956
What if hes painting because the plastic is faded?
Should I lease one of these over a 2-year period, with 300 down and 330 a month?
>leasing
Lease a gun an shoot yourself.
>>15642756
What's wrong with leasing m8
>>15642767
leasing is like going to an ice cream store, asking for samples and not actually buying a flavor you like, let alone add nice things to it like hot fudge on top. the only upside is lease warranty on a car, but you can't change the turbo or the struts to your liking.
how would a 944 handle around a track compared to cars like the miata, s2000, supra, skyline, rx7, and so forth? i'm interested in tracking one and was wondering what type of hurdles i'd have to overcome both as a driver and from the cars stock limitations.
for 3k can i find better platforms?
>buying an FR porsche
just get the miata
>>15642583
>convertible
wouldn't it be a wet noodle?
They're fine for that and can be worked to be better at it.
I have a friend that hoons a stock one like a suicidal.
Are these the only 2 brands who deserve your business?
I don't buy new so it doesn't matter
I buy what fits the need/project goal.

Fuck ford. Mazda and toyota are GOAT

I wouldn't wash my car if it were going to rain the next day either, that's fucking retarded.

What would be the point to wash your car if you know it's going to rain?
