>oil pump dies and have to get engine rebuilt
>mechanic rebuilds it and when he gives me back the car he tells me the clutch is very worn and will have to be replaced in the next oil change (3000 miles)
>estimates cost for the job to be $1000
>drive around car for a month
>everyhting feels good and normal, no issues at all

Is he bullshitting me? or can a "very worn" clutch really feel normal when its about to break in 3000 miles

How autistic are driving gloves?

If not, how much should your car be worth before you can wear them?

They're good for keeping your hands warm on cold days and night especially.

That said, I have a pair, But I never wear them because I don't think I can pull it off.

>Ford is the only American mentioned favorably in Mein Kampf, although he is only mentioned once: Adolf Hitler wrote, "only a single great man, Ford, [who], to [the Jews'] fury, still maintains full independence...[from] the controlling masters of the producers in a nation of one hundred and twenty millions."
>Speaking in 1931 to a Detroit News reporter, Hitler said he regarded Ford as his "inspiration," explaining his reason for keeping Ford's life-size portrait next to his desk. Steven Watts wrote that Hitler "revered" Ford, proclaiming that "I shall do my best to put his theories into practice in Germany."

You're right. It is a good car for what it is.

A comfy front wheel drive gt car that showcased some cool technology.
>>
Prelude was always hondas top car excluding nsx at the time and stuff in usually trickled down to accord and civic. Then s2000 killed it because it was a real sport car and accord coupes and integras were more becoming more popular

I'm looking for a sedan that drives well.

I'm looking at 2009-11 7 series, which I can find under 25k, some 20k

Pros and cons tell me

Does anyone have experience selling to carmax where they haven't went full jew? I just had an appraisal done on a 2015 Subaru Forester and their offer was way low, $1k below the lowest KBB trade-in value. The sales guy kept trying to "neg" me, saying the mileage was high (35k on a two-year old vehicle, barely above average). I get that their offers are based on more than book values and take market factors into consideration, but based on the price they have listed for similar Foresters, they'd make an easy $5k profit on mine. Do all normies get jewed like this at carmax and not realize it?

As you can tell I'm pretty butthurt because now I'm going to try selling on craigslist, and I was really hoping to avoid that.

Carmax is the worst. Basically most dealers and a lot of craigslist hustler types will offer you the same amount of money for a car.

You sell it to them, they immediately sell it on auction to car dealerships, who mark it up even more.

Only do Carmax if you've exhausted every other option.
>>
>>15638980
How's carmax for purchases? Different anon looking for a quick buying experience rather than the drawn out shit of cl/lots.
>>
>>15638990
>drawn out shit
What? It took me less than 3 hours from arriving all the dealer to buy my truck. If you want to have no negotiating power and still spend the same amount of time, then go with carmax.

I'll start

Is this the first time you've ever looked at used cars?

I assume you're looking at a private seller, rather than a dealer.

When listing a car, you always ask for more than you are prepared to settle for; it leaves room for negotiation.

Without seeing the ad, I can only speak generally, but Corollas hold their value well on the used market.

Without details, it's hard to know what a reasonable market price is for your particular example.

Usually though, if a seller wants more than a buyer can afford or is willing to pay, then the buyer misses out and looks for something cheaper.

I don't know why people on /o/ get worked up over prices on individual used car ads. It's a fucking Corolla, fuck sake. there's thousands of them for sale every day.

No volvo thread, lets fix that

So I just tracked my volvo 855 with an ard ecu in it and now the heater core and radiator are leaking. Should I chalk this up to 20 year old parts and replace or source a performance radiator that will fit? it has built in trans and engine oil coolers though so I will need external replacement for oil (already has ext. trans cooler). never overheated but the tank seam is leaking on the rad and I'm guessing the core looks the same (smells like coolant with heat on)

Volvo general go

Hey /o/,

So was driving across the country in my Honda Jazz (I know right, pick you up after soccer practice) when all of a sudden loud wxhaust sounds coming from my car. Like seriously bad. Sounded like a boy racer.

When I get home I checked my exhaust muffler and it was fine so followed it up the system until I got to the centre exhaust (silencer?).

The intake pipe is corroded and has sheared off (pic related)

I don't want to take it to kwik for as I am certain they will make me oh for a whole new exhaust system.

Do you know if:

a) this will cause me problems if o ignore it for a couple weeks

b) it is possible to take it to someone who can repair the pipe by welding or something

c) I should Perdue b) or just ask for a replacement part.

I'm pretty sure it's not the catalytic converter as I think this is the next part up in the exhaust system but I don't want to risk damaging/having to replace that.

Also I'm tight as fuck so wanna spend as little as possible here - there is a reason I'm driving my aunties hand-me-down.

Thx
