What car is the closest to the beak of automotive perfection?
honda odyssey
honda odyssey
Nissan Juke
Brand new car... don't even have plates yet, 2017 Camry SE, FUCKING SHOWERED by burning gravel chunks courtesy some jackhammering jackasses by my work today.
I ended up with several chunks/scrapes on the hood and bumper, roof, most debris came off thankfully.
I have it on video, but I figure I'm not realistically gonna repaint the hood, the paint won't be as durable as factory from what I hear due to lower bake temperatures in paint shop vs. factory.
So I did a touch-up paint job myself, after documenting with pics, didn't file a Polizei reportoire, but goddamn this is pissing me off.

I had my 2016 GTI showered in construction debris as well, not even 2000miles on it and it put a small paint chip in my hood and gave me a cracked windshield.
Got the windshield replaced, @4000miles debris flies off the back of a work truck and smashes my windshield again.
Fuck these assclowns
You should check your privilege, fucking white male
Most people don't even have a new car plus those "jackasses" are doing a job your pussycat ass wouldn't last five minutes doing

What's with all these brand new Suzuki Vitaras in the Port of Baltimore?
>>16387429
Maybe Suzuki is relaunching? One can hope.
>>16387455
Hope this means Swift Sport in burgerland.
What tires should I get on my FR-S?
what wheel diameter and width
Firehawk Indy 500, better than the Sport Comp 2.
Don't get them confused with the Wide Oval Indy 500's, which are shitty and outdated.
>>16387185
Probably 17", maybe 18"
Please im considering buying next week

Hey /o/, I'm in the market for a SUV and am considering the Nissan Xterra. Right now I'm looking at an 06' with 87000 miles for a little under 8000 USD. Carfax report is clean. Does this seem like a good deal? This is my first time getting a car, so I guess I'm not sure about everything yet.
>pic somewhat related
Xterra a shit.
Go with pic related.
>>16386895
I was looking at some 4Runners in my area, and they're all above my price or the mileage is too high. I know the 4Runner is pretty good though, but what significant advantages would it have? My only anecdote was my dad used to have an early Xterra back when I was still a kid and it was pretty awesome.
>>16386864
Buy a Suburban and shut the fuck up.
Even a 96 Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon will have a nicer interior than the 2006 Xterra.
You're not getting shit for your money with the Xterra.

Why do antique Volkswagons drive so well in winter? Asking for a friend. Thanks!
>>16386266
They dont
>>16386279
My friend said her mom has one and asked me why they drive so well in winter. So apparently they do. Should I believe you or her?
ask her mom then? everyone here is living at home barely making enough to afford hondas and miatas.
I've always liked Ferrari better than Lamborghini.
I feel like a lambo is what you buy to show people you are rich but a Ferrari is what a rich car enthusiast buys without caring about what people think.
>>16386197
Ferrari actually makes fast cars. What lambo could complete with a f40, enzo or laferrari at the given time period.
Ferrari has the racing heritage and the cars (12 cylinders) hold value
Lamborghini's used to be worse, but ever since the Huracan and Aventador, they've become really damn good.
I've spoke to people who have owned both. They find that people assume you're a rich snob with a stick up your ass when you drive a Ferrari, while in a Lambo they think you're rich but not a bad person.
I think you have the two reversed, though.
Every rich fucker wants a Ferrari because muh exclusivity, muh waiting list, muh not actually buying only renting, etc.
Lambo was specifically founded to make fast cars because Ferrucio was pissed off at Enzo.

what do you ride and how many miles are on your bike?
YAMAHA A SHIT
repostan
Honda CB600 F PC36 (carbed) or PC 41 (EFI)?
ITT: Cars that normies and non-car enthusiasts think are good, but in reality are actually shit cars.
sad part is some car guys fall into the trap too
>>16385810
>>16385792
They'd be good cars with a small displacement V6. The Renesis is just a shit engine.
Guys I got a semi emergency here. 87 ford bronco with the Ford 302 v8 engine. Dipstick Tube popped out of the block, can I move the dam thing without it in or negative
Bump please help I'm 60 miles from home don't wanna start the journey if it's not safe
I suppose if you drive without it oil will splatter out and you'll lose some pressure. Not familiar with the that motor though.
>>16385438
Can you get at it? Is the tube gone or just disconnected?
Ordered this today, will be here in a week. Could I have done better for a new 20k econobox?
>>16385275
Good purchase
It's not a bad car just a little boring to drive
one thing I noticed is that the paint is really, really thin so it scratches if something even thinks about touching the body
Depends. What options did you check?
Mazdas really take a shit in resale value even though they are really good. The general problem is rust but that shouldn't affect a new car.
Welp /o/, I just got back from the mechanic. In my infinite wisdom I added to much oil to my mazda(I know) and it start pouring smoke out of the exhaust and I could feel the engine lagging on me. I pulled over after about three mins of this and had it towed to a mechanic where he drained out the excess, let it idle for about 45 mins with periodic revs to get the engine hot. He said there would still be trace amounts of smoke as the residual oil runs its way through but to be easy on the engine the next few days.
So /o/ should I really be fine after this mishap or could the 3 mins of driving have done permanent damage to my engine? It seems fine now, no knocking or anything, im just paranoid as fuck.
It's fine but if oil was getting past your rings and interfering with the combustion process, you may want to clean off your spark plugs.
probably not, just do as your mechanic has suggested. If things don't return to normal, you will know then.
Anything from the oil will burn out of the engine, and you cant really do anything special to fix what you did.
You fucked your motor dude your lifters are going to get clogged to shit, your control bushings are gonna slip because of the extra viscosity. And the worst of most things is if you've got a manual tranny your gears are going to stick because the exhaust piping heating up next to your trans. I'd drain 4 quaters of oil from your oil tank if I were you. Add some lucas for your valve springs too, also check your gaskets bc too much oil can fuck with oil pressures to really high levels.
