does my car have an exhaust leak?

my cars engine is WAY louder than it usually is and the cabin smells like exhaust at idle. theres also a hissing sound when i press the gas.

>take it to mechanic
>tells me the turbo oil line is leaking and need to be replaced
>tell me they have to unmount the turbo in order to replace it
>because of this labor bill gets fucking expensive
>cant buy myself my christmas present cause i had to give this faggot all my money

DId he just rip me off or do you really need to remove the turbo to replace a turbo oil tube?

>hit gas pedal instead of break

>cant get CD out of audio player and volume control button is not responding
>cops shows up
>officer hears the music and looks at me with his huge evil grin

At this point my faced turned so red, I think airplanes could see me.

My Saab 900 is making a weird sound coming from the engine bay or the vicinity.
It's a medium pitched whine that is related to car speed so it starts on lower speeds with lower pitch whine and then goes higher as you go faster.
It does not whine when revving the motor by itself without the drivetrain.
The sound also only comes on when the gas pedal is down. If you just coast forward there is no whining sound.
What could the problem be?

I'm building a 3.0L stroker for an e36. Just got this piston in the mail. Is it fucked? The rest are fine, but the thrust side of this one looks rough. Is the coating that big of a deal? Should I get a new one?
