Muzzleloader general thread.
Looking for others that own some. Anybody?

Most of my guns are muzzleloaders
So far I have a Remington 1858 made by Pietta, a CVA wolf rifle, two off brand derringers, and I'm looking to buy any other odd muzzle loaders.

Want a compact SBR/pistol for HD. Should I get a .300 Blackout AR or an MP5 clone from someone like Zenith or Brethren Armament?
What would you all give for a Rhodesia Fal kit

OP's sweet boipucci virginity
A bit of money, maybe a nice platonic date. Not a fan of NBC FALs for the most part tho, Cubans being the one exception

Id sacrifice mexico for one.
/k/, I am a young male, and I do not know ANYTHING about guns, specially because I live in a country with gun control policies. I feel my masculinity to be incomplete. Send help, please.
>>34496920
leave that country
I'd love to, actually. Just need to find a country that will accept my citizenship without necessarily needing to spend 10k on jobs.
>>34496955
so basically you want to move to a country that doesn't regulate firearms to death but you don't want to work to that end?
try moving to liberia maybe?
new fag here, i always wondered how these reticles work
Here you go. Mind you, this is just for the reticle you posted, which is used by Russian/soviet weapons.

I still don't get how the range finder works.
Honest thoughts?

looks like something the nazis would use
A shit copycat of Mig 23 even though it was released 7 years after.
So my dad gave me this old Mauser of his and a box of 7.65 he had sitting in the safe. Problem is, 7.65 is fucking expensive as shit. I love this Mauser but not enough to spend almost $1 a round. Ive seen some forums talking about reboring it for .308 and I'm wondering if its safe to do so and also if it would mean that it wouldnt have this manufacturer engraving on it. I like the idea of having it still on the gun even though the stock and barrel have been "lovingly bubba'd" by the guy who gave the gun to my dad.
What I'm trying to ask is SHOULD I BUTCHER THIS GUN TO SAVE ON AMMO COSTS AND ALSO POTENTIALLY FUCK IT UP BY REBORING IT?
>>34496437
no
just pay the dollar a round or leave the gun unfucked so the next person who gets their hands on it isnt fucked over by your shitty life choices
>>34496437
No, it would not be safe. Also it will cost you more than it's worth and destroy the value. The amount of money you'd spend/waste could buy you enough ammo to last a lifetime.
>>34496437
Leave it alone. If you really want to save on ammo costs, learn to reload. If you're shooting good .308 you won't be saving much anyways.
I'm just curious as to where you guys keep your guns.
in my dog house Mr. ATF
>>34496383
Hold on here. Who said anything about the ATF?
>>34496383
Is your dog a responsible gun owner?
I'm bored and figured this could be a fun idea I work at a walmart and am a non salaried associate in sporting goods, I'm free to answer any questions including why most people you encounter working at your local store are fuck ups, and knowing the return of ARs and other tidbits.
AR platforms are coming into most to all stores that carry rifles and shotguns including companies like colt dpms sig and more I got some vendors I gotta contact for specific dates but our gun of the month program starts in August which is going to be a gun that comes with attachments and shit tier goodies for a discounted price each month every store will get a few to sell.
To answer why . 22 ammo isn't being stocked anymore, our headquarters has decided that some stores sell either to much and to frequently that we lose sales on other types of ammo but case wise 22 only comes in large shipments so they cut it from our line. I am spreading word to North around stores and found a way to start getting it back but cci won't be sending any so you'll have to deal with Remington and whatever federal sends the drawback is a halt on ammon that don't sell at Walmart like 22 250 and small handgun rounds or unique rounds.
>>34496088
Do you actually need a computer to sell a firearm at Walmart?
There's some Walmart in Virginia Beach that has anti - gun management so these refuse to sell guns (for the last 4 years and counting) by having their employees simply say they are waiting for headquarters to send the the back ground check computer to the store???
WTF!!!
I went enough times and called enough I finally had an employee spill the beans on anti - gun management.
>>34496159
Actually yes and no. You can fill out a paper form and we read your info over phone to the FBI but each store does have the right to refuse to sell guns it's typically up to store manager, they even decide whether or not a Murphy gas station gets put there or not. Some stores do away with guns because of the hassle it puts on stores with the constant checks and ATF always on our dicks.

>former wal-mart worker here
Sorry bro.
Would this function?
>>34496010
It would knock you down flat, possibly break your shoulder and not fling the thinger far enough to keep it from blowing you up, as happens often enough in the game.
>>34496010
Why not use a rocket.
Retarded concept. Why is it shoulder mounted instead of being a mortar?

Third for that butthurt guy from facebook!
I know I've seen it before, but can't find any pictures.
Does anyone have pics of US Soldiers, its usually SF guys, with the American flag rolled up and attached to the back of their vest? I'm trying to find where I can buy one myself.
pic only semi related

http://spiritussystems.com/flag-bungee/
its more of a recent thing, I'd say no earlier than 2014
>>34495600
Go to a store, the 4th just passed should be flags everywhere.
Just ordered a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical for my first handgun. How did I do /k/?
You done good.
>>34495469
Very good. You won't find a better handgun than a CZ.
>>34495469
Fuck yeah dude, good choice.
Would a Bersa Firestorm be a good 380?
>tfw in commiefornia and no Thunder
>>34494875
Bought one for my wife. She likes it, I'm happy because it was cheap and ammo is relatively cheap.
Can't say that they're top notch though, the aluminum is allegedly very weak, the guns are said to have a lower than usual lifetime. Plastic sights, I'm afraid to adjust them for fear of breaking something.
Check out kahr, they're expensive in CA but apparently good quality. And of course, there are glock .380's.
The firestorm is small enough to conceal in a pocket but not small enough to CC.
Check out the CZ82 or other CZ compact models
>>34495002
Both the slim glocks (42 and 43) are off roster. Expect to pay 1k for one. At that rate Kahr is cheaper.

>>34496379
get the thunder cc
better build than the regular thunder/firestorm
smaller yet higher capacity
reliable as hell
only costs like $20 more
imo one of the best cc guns you can buy
What does /k/ think about the K31? Was thinking about picking one up soon. They seem pretty nicely made.
>>34494844
I shot one at the last meetup /k/ had very smooth shooting and accurate . I enjoyed racking the bolt hard enough it sent the casing into the rain cover.
Imo yes its worth it.
>>34494844
They're pretty fun. I own one, and I guess I could try and take some pics a little later.
>>34494894
Forgot to add its very price dependent though.
