Gonna throw a wild guess and say that the dudes in OP pic are Seals, since Budweiser is a popular nickname for the Trident.

why does the barrel bend up like that?
i've shot a glock before that does that

It tilts back to help with feeding. I believe it is one of John Browning's many contributions to firearms.
>dad is pro gun as fuck
>probably would have been a /k/ommando if the internet had existed in his youth
>introduces me to funs at the age of 6
>live on 10 acre plot, get to shoot in the backyard everyday after school
>use pictures of deer in American Hunter magazine as targets
>go innawoods a couple times a week with him, sometimes without guns, just to watch nature
>make a trip deep into the forest twice a year and make camp for a couple of days with family
>fish, hunt, swim, the works
>turn 18
>move out, go to college
>get a new set of friends, not anti-gun, but not really into it either
>gradually lose interest in outdoor and gun hobbies
>get IT job
>spend most of my time indoors for the better part of 8 years
>be miserable, not sure why
>dad died 3 months ago

>night afterwards, before the ashes come in, have lucid dream
>he's standing on the edge of the woods, smiling, fishing poles in hand, telling me he's going to show me how to land bass
>wake up next morning, knowing exactly where to scatter his ashes
>go to the spot he used to take me to fish and set him there
>sit for a while, enjoying the nature

Can anyone help me identify a craft I saw last night? I live in Indiana and a few of my friends and I were were out in his backyard last night observing the a meteor shower. A jet kept passing overhead of us between 1-3 am and im assuming it was circumnavigating the area because it kept flying past the same spot every 20-30 minutes. It was incredibly quiet and was approximately 500 yards above the ground. After it had passed 3 or so times my friend decided to grab his handheld telescope in which we viewed it several times up close. Picture related is literally exactly what it looked like. Perfect black triangle, same lights as pic related and everything. We had seen atleast 3 others not including the one that was flying overhead of us. It seem to have a spotlight on it too. I saw it through the telescope and I can assure you it was not a b-2 or f-117.
B-2, refracted through a cloud of swamp gas
Weather balloon.

im not trying to say i saw a UFO or anything, i couldn't identify it but it definitely flew like a jet.
Best calibre for fox control in your opinion? At a max of 300 yards?

Question for you, /k/:
I'm a computer programmer currently living in the Midwest that wants to move somewhere with more job opportunities, but I don't want to live in an anti-gun shithole like California, Massachusetts, or New York.
Are any of you computer programmers that can recommend a good area? I mostly program C and C++ for video games, rather than web stuff.
>>30957431
>video games
Possibly Virginia? You could commute to DC. Georgia... there is some stuff in Atlanta. Checkout gamejobhunter.com
>>30957467
Thanks. I didn't know about this site at all. I've only ever used gamasutra.
Texas, look around Austin. Be aware Austin is the worst part of the state, though- full of Californian refugees.
Georgia has some tech jobs in Atlanta, I hear.
>decided first rifle would be the ruger 10/22
>went to store to check out the guns
The Ruger they had there was called
RUG 10/22DSP DLXW.
Does anyone know what this means? Trying to figure out what model this is.
Internet searches are leading me to believe it is a Ruger 10/22 Sporter Deluxe, but can anyone confirm this? I have the serial number handy. Is there a way to use this to confirm?
Would $263.50 USD be a good buy for this rifle?
Thanks.
That's a sporter deluxe probably in walnut, 263.50 is an excellent deal
>>30957442
thanks for the confirmation.
is there any reason I wouldn't want the sporter compared to other ruger 10/22 models?
Personally think its too much. You can get normal used 10/22 for sub $100. occasionally older models as well. The delux sporter is just more gucci, the walnut is nice but the long barrel adds nothing to ballistics. $260 is just barely under retail of $400ish. So unless its in prestine condition its not that great of a deal.
Hey /k/,
Anyone else buy guns based on what their favorite tv/game/waifus use?

I know nothing about guns and their usage (I'm not from the US) besides trigger discipline, but am interesting in learning about it for when I direct people using guns in my movies.
I'm mainly wondering how an experienced shooter would hold a gun (trigger discipline and all), pull a gun, and identify an inexperienced shooter (and general mistakes inexperienced shooters make). The characters in this case (an upcoming project) are "private" gun users ("normal" people who have been in firefights, criminals and such), not military personnel.
Are there any good guides, or do any of you have some advice?
I would suggest taking a look at concealed carry handbooks. They would help immensely. Also, there are plenty of youtubers that /k/ approve of that just by watching their videos you can learn a lot from.
>>30957347
Thanks. Are there any concealed carry handbooks you recommend in particular?
Anon, another good bet besides Concealed Carry handbooks would be 1: start researching and googling like no tomorrow, and 2: see if you know anyone who is current/former military/law enforcement. Getting some guidance from those kinds of people could really help you.
Opinion on PMC?
Blackwater is near Moyock, NC there was some controversy surrounding them some 8 years ago about private military operatives/contractors ... other than that all I know is its a training area
they've been sold and renamed like 5 times in the last decade, and it's just happened again.
erik prince is mad as a fucking hatter and wants to start his own outer heaven in africa.
It's Academi (sp?) however, Erik Prince still has the rights to the name, "Blackwater." They killed 17 people in the Nisour Square Massacre.
Hey /k/! Hows it going? Im going to the Wrights World War 2 Museum and I was planning on taking some pictures. They have one of the largest collections of working vehicles on the east coast.
Would you guys like me to do an image dump later today?
Hell yeah, it'd be pretty cool, OP.
Is that picture just a one off joke?
