Hello /k/, /lit/ here. I want your opinion on something that's bothering me. Almost every cyberpunk or sci-fi book with cyberpunk themes in it, that I've read. It always has this vision of the future with intense gun violence and overall gun dominated world in whats supposed to be technology reigned and hacker warfare.
Whats your take on a cyberpunk world with so many guns or for that matter our future? Likely or unlikely? And how do guns have a place in a cyberpunk world? Not saying I'm anti-gun but I just don't understand. Since you guys own weapons maybe you can educate me.

We could never know. If the west continues down the left path we will most likely end up with no guns except for military(not even police). If we go right we will probably end up like a cyberpunk world, but you know what they say "An armed society is a polite society." I highly doubt in 200 years we will have both no-guns and all-guns. It is really one or the other.

Kek, I'm sure some that some of you sick fucks will enjoy this.
I just moved to a state in the deep south for law school and brought all of my guns with me. I moved into an apartment complex which placed me with random roommates. The first roommate moved in about a week ago, he's chill and is down to go shooting with me.
The other roommate just arrived. European exchange student. Within an hour of his arrival, he is on his anti-gun tirade and how he is terrified of how common guns in the United States are. He also managed to tell us how excited he was to explore the south and get the southern experience. I am fairly confident that he is unaware of what he is getting into, which makes this extra amusing.
Little does he know that in the other room are an AR15, AKM, Glock 19, Sig 226 and several other terrifying baby assaulting weapons of mass destruction.
This is going to be a very interesting year. How have you guys handled going to school with and/or living with anti's? I am personally of the opinion that this nogunz Eurocuck can eat a fat cock if he wants to come here and then complain about guns and how our country works. But I don't need some retard causing problems while I live here for the next year, either.
At either rate, how should I go about revealing or concealing my power level and do any of you have any similar experiences and stories? I don't think that concealing my power levels is even possible considering that I go shooting fairly frequently, and I am fairly unwilling to tiptoe around this guy, but I'm not trying to start some shitfit either.

Had a friend who was a mechanical engineer for Martin testing space station and satellite shielding. He created a deforming piston light gas gun capable of throwing up to fifty caliber projectiles at orbital velocities. He's mainly credited with inventing the camera used to capture impacts.
Really neat stuff. I saw a one gram chunk of aluminum tear a hole through half inch plate.
