I'm interested in building my own AR. How much will this cost me in tools? I think it would be really cool to do but there's a local well-regarded shop that would do it in a couple months for about $40 over cost of parts.
>>31552413
$100 in tools max
>>31552438
What all do I need to buy? Some site I looked at initially pointed at a $250 kit and suggested that as a start along with other tools. He seemed like a bit of a tard though so I figured I'd ask here.
I have a decent amount of general tools just nothing AR/gun-specific.

What is the best cheap chest rig? How bad is the condor recon chest rig?
>>31552293

Chinese Type 81
>>31552293
Chicom rigs, type 56 for three mag pouches and four utility pouches and type 81 for four mags and two utility (keep in mind you can pretty comfortably stack two AR mags in one pouch).
>B-but, it's cheap chink shit
Get that cock out of your mouth, chicom rigs have a rich and long history among operators. Spetsnaz in Afghanistan, Vietnam to pre-golf war US special forces, Selous Scouts, what do they all have in common? They all loved chicom rigs and you can find plenty of images of them using it.
Lightweight, durable, super cheap and simple ($15 for never issued surplus), get yourself a chicom.
If bullpups have a shitty trigger, why not just use electronic firing like the VEC-91?
>>31552089
ATF considers any weapon that uses electronic parts to function a machinegun. Real sad as disabled people are not exempt from this ATF ruling and cannot get assisted devices to use a firearm for target shooting like in Europe.
>>31552160
Bullshit.
>>31552205
The ATF says only bolt action and single shot weapons can have electronic triggers.
How should I prepare physically to join the military, what exercise regime should I be doing.
How often should I be doing it and when should I start?
I do weightlifting on one day then a 5km run the next day

you are now in the top 10% of enlisted.

Yes. There's that popular video of him blasting towel heads from a rooftop in one of the sand countries

The AR is a better gun than the AK because the AK is illogical.
>pic related
The people in /ARG/ are nicer than in /AKG/ because they are better people.
Prove me wrong, you can't.
The AR is a superior gun, it's lighter, more accurate, has lighter ammo, works better, doesn't have a reciprocating charging handle, has drop in parts.
The AK cannot even be made to US mil-spec.
The AR is a straight line. The AK is crooked.
>>31551654
You're 100% correct.

that's a stupid pic

Here it is burning
Here is the video:

>but still how the fuck did a few shoulder fired rockets do this
It was hit by a fucking anti-ship missile you ignorant retard
can I just leave ballistol on? since it's also a lube?
>>31551301
yeah, but not too much. Overlubing won't hurt the gun, but it may attract more carbon and fouling. Take it out of the barrel and chamber too, unless you want to bulge your barrel.
>>31551301
Ballistol is shit.
>Hurr but they've been using it forever.
We don't use the same gun powder or primer compound why would we still use the same shitty mineral oil.

Hey there /k/, was sittin at dinner tonight when my mom noticed my small schrade (sch002) pocket knife which I keep with me when i'm out of the house (just left it in pocket since I was workin round the house) and she was all "what's that" and I told her it's mostly just for utility and she got SUPER hung up on the fact that I didn't say only for utility and I made the argument that sure it's mostly just utility, but that if shit went down I would feel better having it on me than not, and she kept freaking out telling me that it would be WAY more likely for it to be turned on me or whatever
>"Do you know the statistic?"
>Gives no actual fucking source or anything
She's a massive liberal dumbass who wants us all unarmed and has voted in every foolish gun grab bill here in CA since before I was conceived, which is strange considering her dad was total /k/ tier,
>set off m80s under steel bucket for shits & giggles
>100% NRA rating

I'm a poorfag who wants to get muh first gun, but am worried wether or not I should wait until before or after the election.
>If I wait till after and trump wins, relations with Russia will be great and I'll be able to get an sks or mosin for dirt cheap
>if Hillary wins autists will sperg out and the shelves will be empty, it'll be impossible to get a good poorfag gun
>if I do it before I can play it safe but buying something like an sks will run me $350. (Not really worth it?)
W-what do I do /k/?
At least buy a few stripped lowers to sit on.
>>31551043
Same predicament here, waiting for tax refund season and hoping for the best otherwise.
Buy a cheapo AR lower for now. See what happens as time goes on. If things go bad, you'll probably be able to make a profit on the lower at least.
