Alive, dead, either?
He's a huntin' fool and he played Snake Plissken. That's enough for me.
If he isn't available I'll take Chris Pratt, solely because watching Star Lord fight dinosaurs with my dad's 45-70 was several different layers of geekery-gratificattion right. But Snake's still my first choice.

Either is ok.
Bong here, visiting Vegas next year and want to go shoot a few guns
All the touristy ranges in vegas only let you fire like 25 rounds per gun. Are there any non-touristy places in or around Vegas where I can pick my own gun and ammo and they'll leave me alone on the range?

So they don't do rentals at all?
Just show me how to use it I'll be fine m8
>>31562618
im sure theres plenty of ranges that do rentals, you just have to shop around. they will keep an eye on you tho
What does /k/ think of the AR 7? Good El cheapo innawoods gun or POS?
>>31562414
pew pew pew
>>31562414
AR-7 is great. The only maker you should avoid are those made and sold by Charter Arms.
its a gun that sounds great on paper but sucks shit in reality. if you want a plinker dont buy it. if you want a small compact object that can turn into a gun its good at that.
Make sure to seed

How much of the ar/k/ is mirrored in the do/k/ument and the Mega Folder? My copy of the do/k/ument is at about 34gb while Mega Folder is closer to 82gb.
>>31562298
The Ar/k/ is 285GB and contains the do/k/ument.
It took me 2 days of nonstop downloading (never hit over 3MB/s peak download speed)
Is this /k/'s worst nightmare?

Is it true that civilians as snipers during a government collapse are a meme? Is body armor a meme if you're not operating with other trained soldiers? Do soldiers know voodoo combat magic that makes them superior individual warfighters than a civvy could ever be?
>>31562222
How is body armor a meme? It stops bullets
>is x a meme
fuck off

Soldiers aren't superhuman
My buddy Just bought a Sig Echo 1 thermal reflex sight and sig has a website for designing your own reticles, go to this website and click the design your own reticle button next to the other reticle images to make them, you can right click on the drawing field and save-as to save the pics you draw and post them here to give me ideas on what to replace his reticles with before our next shoot, you can have a different one for 1x and 2x as well.

So the NFA definition of a MG is
>The National Firearms Act defines "machinegun" as "any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger." 26 U.S.C. 5845(b)
It doesn't really state any chronological conditions for the trigger's function. What if you made a gun that could "charge" trigger pulls much like a pump air rifle but still also shoot semi-automatically. When you activate a secondary mechanism it could release those stored trigger pulls. It'd be like the sig-brace of full auto. If the gun had a provision for semi-auto fire if there were no "stored" trigger pulls, it would ensure that the trigger could only fire the same number of times the trigger has been pulled. Crank fire guns are already a thing, so why not this?
>>31561852
correct me if I'm wrong, but what you're proposing is the "half an A-press" of trigger mechanisms.
>ATF's face when I build up trigger pulls for 12 hours
>>31561852
Pretty sure that secondary mechanism would be considered the trigger
>>31561852
>When you activate a secondary mechanism it could release those stored trigger pulls
That's also a trigger, and now it's shooting multiple bullets with one pull.
Hey /k/.
I know you guys get this kind of threat a lot, but fuck it. I'm looking for a gun in 7.62x39 right now, and I'm torn between the SKS or an AK variant. If I decide to go with the SKS, I'm debating between a Tula or a Norinco. I'm not as knowledgeable with AK's, I just know not to buy IO, Century or RAS47. I'm looking into perhaps a MAK90, an M92, M70 or perhaps a DDI. My price range is about 1,000. Any tips/suggestions?
Pic unrelated.
Also, wondering if this rifle is any good
http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/ak-47-74-rifles/ak-47-rifles.html
get an ak, its only a little bit more and you'll have that reliable magazine fed system. A hungarian amd 65 is around $600. Also money left over goes to buy mags and ammo. wasrs are good too.
I have an SKS and an AK (though the AK is in 5.45).
I'd recommend the AK. And a Tula SKS is expensive anyway.
The Chinese, the Russians, so many use it like they don't have good camos of their own.
>>31561670
Because it's mass produced and therefore cheap. Lol
>>31561670
why not
>>31561670
Wasn't it proven to be very obvious on night vision and that the pattern chosen by the Canadians performed much better in that regard?
Seems like a bad choice.

I'm a poorfag, only have a nugget, as well as a shotgun and a revolver. How fucked am I if SHTF
Could be worse.

You'll be fine,as long as you're away from the cities. Just make sure you have enough ammo.

Shit sucks. I plan on getting one pretty damn soon though. I'm just going to say fuck it, get a handgun, hide it from my landlord (will be easy), throw it in my bike bag and take it to hte range as much as possible. I just don't want to drop 500 dollars on something when I don't have a job yet.
I don't really know what else to do.
You could sell all those and get an AR15 or even a Ares SCR if you are in Commiefornia, but honestly you are still way better off than me.
Mausers have the best stripper clips, prove me wrong

What did he mean by this?
Nowadays I see less and less tanks make full use of sloped armor. What gives, it must have some use if they employ it on the forward turret but why not on the rest of the turret.
>>31561401
oh boy it's a sloped armor bait thread, haven't seen one of those in a while
Sloped armour is worthless against APFSDS so composite is what matters now
If you could look inside the frontal armor cavities of modern tanks, you would see stacks of sloped plates with air gaps between them.
