Why the fuck am i not allowed to Conceal Carry on a PUBLIC University?
because universities are designed to create leftists. Exposure to a gun while not being shot might make them feel safer around them over time.
Academia is a den of leftist communists.
Back in the 50s, the jew communists realize their system cannot compete with capitalism mode of economy, so instead of infecting the material world, they decide to pozz the intellectual world inside and they mostly succeed.

Will portable, weaponized handheld lasers be a thing in out lifetime?
>>31554837
Technically speaking, they're a thing now. Just shit for battery life.
>>31554837
Yeah, they'll probably never be as widely used as normal guns because of the problems with power supply, heat generation, component size, etc. Even those problems might be mitigated to a substantial degree with enough time and work, but a tube that throws little chunks of metal really fast using an explosion will always require less effort.
no. lasers guns are a fantasy weapon.
The amount of energy you would need to be able to store in a battery to make them work would be a horrible idea in a combat situation. It would be a walking liability.
Further lasers can be fucked with by atmospheric conditions. Are going to have much worse penetrating capability requiring even more power to punch through light cover than you would need to be able to kill someone, are much more easy to mitigate with kinds of armor materials and coatings than kinetic impacts.
By the time we have the materials capability to make something like that viable there will be far superior options.
Chemically propelled kinetic energy weapons will always be the primary weapon of choice. A kinetic weapon has inertia which is harder to hide from, it has followthrough. Chemically stored energy doesnt go bad anywhere near as fast.
A laser gun would have horrible heat dissipation problems, if you had the materials to counteract that, you will have materials to make effective anti laser armors.
Lasers are stupid. Their one and only advantage is their speed which may mean they have some future as point defense weapons for large facilities or ships with massive energy production capabilities. But as far as offensive weapons on that scale they arent even practical since they cant even fire over the horizon.
Kinetic energy best energy forever and all time. A bigger rock, thrown harder, is always the way forward.
I want to build a miniature Uboat.
At this point it just seems retardedly expensive and dangerous. Anyone got any advice or ideas?
>>31554832
You're a stupid bitch.

weld a superstructure to an aluminum canoe. then cruise around on the surface, best youre gonna get

Lock yourself in a closet for a week, then tell me if you still want a miniature U-boat.

Hypothetically speaking, how enforceable is 922r? And how much trouble would you get in if you were caught in violation of it?
>>31554808
Not really enforceable to an individual IMO. However, ATF would probably use it to try to bust an importer/SOT/etc.
It refers to manufacturing anyway, not possession. Reason why no gun store or pawn shop frets about taking in a Tapco'd SKS on pawn/trade/buy. How many people did the conversion and did it while maintaining 922r compliance? Exactly.
>>31554813
So I, hypothetically speaking, could put as many Russian parts on my Russian AK as I wanted?
>>31554808
Not very, how often does the ATF walk up and inspect all your parts. That said, if get in trouble for anything else, they very well might pull apart your stuff and tack a lack of compliance onto to the charges.
>>31554831
NO

"(a) It shall be unlawful—
(1) for any person—
(A) except a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, or licensed dealer, to engage in the business of importing, manufacturing, or dealing in firearms, or in the course of such business to ship, transport, or receive any firearm in interstate or foreign commerce; or
If you change 922r parts, you 'manufactured' the end-result.
It's all bullshit, but I literally called the ATF a few weeks ago and YOU are responsible for being 922r compliant. It DOES APPLY TO INDIVIDUAL POSSESSION
ITT more like this.
>>31554799
Supposing such a thing is even possible, why exactly is it that fucking massive? It seems to me that you'd want to make such an advanced aircraft as small as humanly possible to save on the cost of it's skin. Stealth skin is already expensive as it is, and nothing even close to av-cam has ever been demonstrated to exist in a form suitable for military application.
>>31554822
Just a wild guess, but I think it's that big in the diagram because that's how big witnesses have said it looked to them from the ground. this design is very obviously based on a famous series of UFO reports in which witnesses saw a chevron of five lights in the sky moving slowly.

The tacticle side of guns is what gets most of you all interested not all but most and you all buy these suped up ARs and lern all these tactics and maybe practice them with friends and the truth is you'll likely never use them in your entire life. Explain to me why you wouldn't have been better off getting into paintball with firearms as a secondary hobby?
Paintball more like gayntball

Ayyy yeah OP.
You play gayntballs?
Lel Kek what a fag
So I've been shooting for a long time and I've been feeling depressed about guns lately. I've grown detached from the fun of all of it over the years and it seems like work to go out and shoot where as I'd used to enjoy it. I've started to wonder why I have all these guns when I truthfully only need a shotgun and edc handgun. I feel like I've wasted so much money on a hobby I lost interest in some time ago. I really want to enjoy it but I just can't for some reason anymore. It's not simply not fun and it truthfully is bumming me out. Do you guys ever get like this. I don't know if it's a phase of if I will never enjoy shooting as much as I used to.
>>31554688
Take a break from guns, do something else for a while, then come back refreshed. If you sell them all now you'll probably regret it a few years down the road.
This is part of having a hobby, and why you should have more than one.
Think of all the fun times you had.
>why did I waste all those hours playing vidya
it was fun
>why did I go through all that pain in the gym for years on end
it was fun
>why did I burn all that gas in my car instead of taking the train/bus
it was fun
Stop being a negative nancy, maybe take some shooting courses to spice things up a bit, other than shooting paper from stationary positions (assuming).
If you sell your funs, you will think back on them and will come to miss them probably.
Or just stop being a whining cunt, sell your other funz and move on to other endeavours.
I cant believe I just typed all that shit out.
>>31554701
That's the thing. I have a lot of hobbies. I like to enduro trips, fish/fly Ice fish, game, race RC cars, I'm into survival stuff like winter camping lots of things and I've never really burnt out on those and I'm even getting into more. My buddy is trying to get me into rock climbing but firearms are really the only thing I for some fuck all reason can't seem to enjoy anymore.
Californian here, LA County.
I want guns and some ammo before America starts WWIII with Russia. What are my best options?
>>31554114
i'm from California, you need to be far more worried about the liberals, Mexicans, and niggers in our state. Russia isn't going to do anything any time soon. we are going to have serious problems with the racial divide that the democrats and liberal media have created. Trump winning the election is going to be used by shitbirds as an excuse to riot and if hillary wins 550% more islamic refugees every year and an open boarder with mexico is going to turn California into a war zone.
get armed while you can and move out of the state if you can.

Been searching for a WASR for a number of years now, but as many of you know they are becoming very rare. I have a small pile of cash to spend If I can actually find one, but Ive got no luck yet and election is right around the corner.
Probably going to have to buy one online if it gets too late in the election season.
>will not settle for npap, zav, or ras47
>should I settle for a wasr without military triangle
>anyone have any leads where I can find one?
You must not have been looking very hard. I'd even venture to say you'd have to be retarded to not have found a fucking wasr of all things after years of searching. You're picking the wrong time to get into the AK market.

>>31554153
Well no shit. Thats why Im getting in the game before its over.
The gun shops in my area have never had wasrs.
The shows have OCCASIONALLY had them, but they looked like they fought the war in the congo.
And thats weird that you post that link, They were not in stock a week ago. Im kind of hoping to find an older one with crap wood though.
>>31554176
>Im kind of hoping to find an older one with crap wood though
The furniture will be easier to find than the rifle.
>and since they don't use the "crap wood" anymore, all you're going to find is used and likely abused firearms.
But the gun THEN worry about the furniture.
>black bear hit by car in Coquitlam BC Canada
>RCMP decide to put down the animal using their Remington 870
>they all have a smith and wesson 5946 on their belt
Why don't leos just use their handguns for shotgun situations? If they need a precision rifle for gun battles they already have their AR style select fire rifles in their cars anyway (a C8 carbine in the case of Canada). Do leos want to play skeet and clay on duty? Do they want do hunt waterfowl criminals? Do they want to permanently wound hippie protesters with beanbag rounds?
Fucking shotties are useless.
I dunno lol
>>31554009
cause shotguns are easier to use and kill shit dead
There should be a board rule where people who don't actually own guns shouldn't be able to talk about them.
So, SHTF happen. Do you go greyman? What are the benefits of going gray man? How do you successfully pull off the gray man load out?
>>31553932

Yeah, because that really looks like two loving faggots going out on the town, right?

"gray man" is literally, and I mean it,
LITERALLY
The most autistic thing to EVER come out of the "firearms community".

For fuck's sake
In the World of Improvised Firearms I see a myriad of blowback pistols and smgs, I see a large number of different single shot rifles and pistols. I see multi barrel shotguns, pistols, rifles, and various revolvers. I see muskets as well.
I understand if there are no gas operated, delayed blowbacks, and recoil operation because you need to be a master gunsmith with a lot of time and proper tooling to make those function reliably.
But what I always wonder is why there are no bolt action, lever action, or pump action firearms being made in the improvised setting. I am sure they are simple enough....or are they? Any thoughts?
>>31553773
>bolt action
Plenty
>lever action or pump action
The prior are actually pretty fucking complicated to just make. Pumps are less so, but still...
Open bolt will always be the simplest.
>>31553773
Part of what makes an insurrection weapon effective is capability to be mass produced at the garage level with basic tools.
Lever action and pump action firearms require significantly more tooling and machining to produce.
The ideal insurrection weapon can be made by every day folks in large enough numbers to hand out like candy.
>>31553817
Show me pics of bolt action improvised rifles then.

To be completely honest, I don't think I'd ever push the button, no matter what. Half the world dead is better than all the world dead, and at least if the USSR is left standing there would be some kind of future for humanity.
That's why I would never be allowed to join Missile Command.
>>31553767
This. I don't think I could be responsible for that, especially knowing that those firing were deep in silos themselves
It's now been 10 days since I placed my order with Sportsman's Guide for my AR and they still haven't shipped it. They are now telling me it will be 48 BUSINESS HOURS before they can send it out. In other words. it might be another 8 days before it even leaves their warehouse.
Are these assclowns normally this bad?
>>31553513
Fuck if I know, but usually if I get a "48 business hours till ship" it means they'll take two days. Not 8 days.
>>31553513
Yes, which is why I never order shit from them.
>>31553527
I asked if she meant 2 days and she said "NO, 8 hours per day monday through friday"
I've already ordered another gun (different style) from classic firearms and it was delivered friday in the meantime. The fagpul furniture has also already been delivered to my house and I ordered that 3 days ago.
>>31553533
I've called them three times so far. every time they've told me it should be shipping out tomorrow .... pretty sure they are saying that to get me off the phone.
I sent them an email this evening asking them what the hell is going on.
If they can't get it shipped out by tomorrow I'm going to cancel my order and get it from somewhere else.
Maybe i'll call my bank and get them to do a chargeback.
