I don't like the way fiberglass feels, but it's great for something that's going to be stashed for a long period of time so you don't worry about the wood shrinking and ending up with a loose head.

Actually just got one a few days ago. Put a nice pretty mirror edge on everything I ran through it. The edge this thing puts on knives will shave and slice paper easily within a matter of minutes. Super easy to use. I will say that my lansky kit leaves this thing in the dust when it comes to sharpness though. My lansky will get knives hair whittling sharp, but it takes for fucking ever. Also, the lansky will not work on bigger curved blades (like bowie style knives). A novice sharpener would be extremely impressed with both the sharpness and aesthetics of what the Ken Onion Worksharp will do an edge. I'm impressed with the speed, ease of use, and versitility of this tool. If you've got a lot of big outdoors or kitchen blades to sharpen, I strongly suggest it. But, if you've only got to sharpen pocket knives, go with a lansky.
