Don't buy a HiPoint

I've put a total of 1200 rounds of ammo through this gun, from WBB to Federal, to S&B and reloaded stuff. It has functioned flawlessly. For $250 it's a well built and solid feeling and performing gun. The gun is built on the classic CZ75 design.

In double action, the trigger is like 13lbs+, it's heavy. In single action the trigger is 5.5lbs with a short smooth and crisp breaking trigger.

The magazines drop free and smooth when releases, and they are metal mags. The polymer frame is well finished with no molding lines or rough spots that aren't finished smooth. The gun includes a picatinny rail.

At $250 these things really a bargain and and will compete will a gun costing nearly twice as much.

The main complaint is that the manual external safety does not also function as a decocker (nor is there a decocker), but it does allow the gun to be staged in single action with the safety on, so it's a fair trade off.

I was going to buy one as the beater gun I needed, and sit might if I get a deal on a used one. But, the Witness is a much better deal. With the difference between them being the cost of dinner for two at Applebee's, the EAA is leagues better than the HiPoint.

Again, as you should know just by looking at the basic information presented, it's just a listing. Regardless of anything, that is the price of the gun. The price difference between your shill gun and the hipoint is $90.

If I were to buy *either*, I'd have to get it shipped and transferred, since none of my LGSs have those guns. On the other side of the coin, another LGS might have both. So really, the loss of additional fees or the lack thereof, from one gun compared to another, is non-existent.
