What are the upsides and downsides to carry handle mounted optics?
they only mounted them on carry handle because you couldnt remove the handle from the A2.
Easy to knock out of zero and mounted uncomfortably high.
Don't require modification to older rifles, don't interfere with the iron sights, and retro aesthetics.

cant find any good colt 3x clones that will keep a zero
authentic are pretty expensive.
What is the most widely produced cartridge in all of history?

Post lever raifus
Talk about the most beautiful and goddamn American of guns

Getting my first levergun soon.
I'm thinking a Marlin 1895GS.
Am I doing good, and what are some good 45-70 loads?
>>33713160
Those Marlins tend to be pretty solid but I can't tell you much more because all of my .45-70 experience is with Henrys.
Be ready for some pretty hard recoil. I had a friend whip me up some 405 gr hard cast loads with between 45 and 60 grains of varset pushing them. My shoulder definitely was not happy about that
>>33713123
Can I get a quick run down on 1894 type 30-30 lever guns?
I heard new Winchesters with the safety aren't so good and are made in Japan.
What about Henry? I saw one with aperture sights which I prefer at the LGS for 650?

Would wrist-mounted flashlights like used in later Star Trek episodes be useful in a tactical environment? Why aren't they a thing?
why not a headlamp?
Because they'd looks pretty stupid unless fasionable, and to hold your arm out for that length of time, you're better off getting a head mounted flashlight.
Because the idea is retarded and so are you

Give me reasons revolvers are better than semi-auto handguns
>spinny thing in the middle
>look like cowboy
>no clips needed
that's just scratching the tip of the iceberg too senpai
1. better for bear defense
2. generally more accurate
3. won't go out of battery if you shove it into something, so better for pocket carry
>>33710260
>Larger bullets
>More accurate
>Heavy ones usually don't have much recoil
That's about it
What is the least shit mouse gun?

Look at the Beretta 950 series
I have one from 1957, a pre-safety model chambered in .25 auto. It feeds more reliably than a .22 auto, holds 8+1 rounds and can fit in a cell phone case. Unfortunately it's a piss weak cartridge, but still. Your should be able to find one for around $400

Is .32 acp still the very best in the world of too-small pistol cartridges?

Is the SPR meme ever going to die?
5.56 is 5.56 is 5.56. Even with 75gr out of a 20" barrel, it's going to be outclassed by every 7.62x51 ever fielded.
>BUT AMMO COMMONALITY WITH THE SQUAD
goes out the window when you're carrying match loads and everyone else is carrying standard rounds. Put one of their mags in your gun and you've just got a really heavy M-16.
>PROVEN MAN STOPPER
that the Army has been bitching about for decades, but brass is too invested.
Let's just face it, gents. The SPR (including the one you built up and is totally going to change my mind, I'm sure) is just a desperate attempt to prolong the life of an obsolete gun and an obsolete cartridge.

If you think the AR-pattern is obsolete, you need to delete yourself from life.

this thread is pure bait
Lets play a game:
I'm your average city slicker who doesn't know much about guns or the history of them, Your goal is to come up with the dumbest, most brain-dead retarded lie you can think of that would sound believable to someone like me that simply doesn't know better.
>>33702596
.45ACP is a viable round for self-defense
>>33702596
.22 bounces around the body since it's smaller and hits bones w/o breaking them.
>>33702596
The rifles the military use are much more deadly compared to those used by civilians because the barrels they use are designed to deliberately impart less spin to the rounds, causing them to be more unstable and yaw much more violently
My very liberal grandparents bought an 870 for Y2K and have never shot it in 17+ years of having it. Is it a good gun? Ammo is not a problem since there is at least 500 rounds.

all of that stuff should still be just fine.

Only if someone knows what it is.
The rules bar “tattoos that are obscene, sexually explicit, and or advocate discrimination based on sex, race, religion, ethnicity, or national origin,” the message states. “In addition, tattoos that symbolize affiliation with gangs, supremacist or extremist groups, or advocate illegal drug use are prohibited — waivers will not be given for tattoos with prohibited content.”
