They cut corners everywhere, shitty machine work, shitty finish, shitty fitment. I thought that the Remington bashing was a /k/ meme until a friend bought a 870 and it would not eject shells. The chambers are machined so shitty that the shells get stuck and you have to beat the stock on the ground while pulling back on the pump to get it to eject.

Cerberus Group, Freedom Arms ate them with a lot of good companies like Bushmaster and now they're churning out 870 E's that look sad next to Norinco's. They have the balls to charge the old price for them still which is why there's a reason to hate them. People that don't know any better buy a Remington based on the name and get handed expensive garbage. Freedom drug the name through the mud.

Fortunately for you the old used ones are cheaper than the new ones still. I can find old wingmasters for under $300 and the difference in quality is apparent the second you pick one up.
