I live in Kentucky and i like to go boar hunting with my 308 but i felt like i wasnt packing enough punch so i started buliding my own rifle in my workshop and now i'm almost done.
I was inspired by the PTRD-41 so i went for a long barrel (5 feet long, i made it out of a waterpipe i had no use for),single shot, 15mm caliber with custom ammo ( meaning handcrafted and reloaded); what i need right now is a flash hider and a decent stock then im done.
As for the stock i tried with a sawn-off aluminum crutch but i dont like it since i kinda wanna go for the legit look.( All the metal parts and well done and handcrafted in my worshop so its not a bang up job)
Any tips on how to get a decent stock?
It really looks like pic related but as i said i removed the stock since i plan on getting a legit one, made out of light wood.
Thoughts?

Because I fucking hate all you, and I want more money to blow on strippers and heroin until my DD-214 comes around and I can be mistreated by another set of cunts named the VA.
how good are benchmade knives ?
really thinking about getting one of these.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pUc-W39mFI
>>33856880
Benchmade makes quality knives. Crooked River is bretty gud but massive. If you haven't held one I would before buying it. In that price range there are a lot of good knives.
>>33856880
Dunno about that particular model, but I own a Benchmade Adamas and an Osborne. Overall, great knives. Great fit and finish, durable, hold an edge reasonably well (S30VN and their D2, that is. Dunno about their other offerings). However, I have had an issue with the axis lock on the adamas; the omega springs completely failed on it. The bar just kind of slid back and forth. However, I just recently sent it in for repair and if the thread is still up when i get the package back this evening, I'll let you know how the customer service is. (So far they haven't charged me for repairs or sharpening)
i need a new premium /out/, /edc/, /hunting/ folder. and i really like the design.
used an pohl force bravo one outdoor so far, but i want something a little more premium that isnt an overpriced piece of chris reeve shit

Everyone knows about nuggetfest, but what are some other /k/ meetups? St. Louis /k/ommando here.
>>33854074
Columbia here. I'm leaving in a couple weeks though to head back to Springfield.
>>33854074
Warrensburg here. Nuggetfest is the big one, mainly since Creep puts enough effort into them to make them viable and regular.
But there's Minnesota, Cali, Florida, Texas, those are the main ones I've seen. You can always organize your own.
How's the flooding treating ya? my family is stuck at home in Eureka.

Also Columbia. There was a guy out of STL who organized mini-meets at the state forest near Warrenton.

Which branch has the best officer saber?
Note, Air Force uses the Army's
>>33851954
The Army M1902 is the best of the three, because the regulations specify nickel-plated carbon steel. The others can be stainless steel, which means wallhanger-tier.
Having said that, go get a Patton saber.

Patton's mass will give a better cut than any of those. If you must cut, get the M1906 Cavalry saber.

What knife would you suggest I get my girlfriend.
Do any of you guys have experience getting your significant other a blade for EDC? What knife does your wife or significant other carry?
My girlfriend is a petite woman, 5'3" and 120lbs with small hands. She's going on an extended trip to be with her family in south america for a year and I want her to go with a knife for whatever tasks and some sabre pepper spray. I intend on visiting several times next year.
I was thinking about buying her a Ka-Bar Mini Dozier (pic)
stats are:
AUS-8
2.25" blade
5.75" overall
0.10" blade thickness
0.31 handle thickness
1.1oz weight
$18
It's a tiny little thing for a person with little hands. I'm a knife person but she is not but will take it if it makes me happy. I was thinking she could put it in her purse or jacket and have a knife if she needed one. If it get's lost or stolen, it's cheap and I could just send her another one.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
or should I bite the bullet and get her a $70 delica 4?
2.95"
7"
2.4oz
$70
goes to show, nobody on /k/ has a girlfriend
As far as smallish ETC knives I have a CRKT drifter that I love. Also the Ontario Rat 2 is a nice knoife.
