The greater Seoul area is capable of sheltering 20 million people inside of bomb shelters and "heavy" structures. The estimated casualties from Nork arty is somewhere in the tens of thousands, at most. Not hundreds of thousands, or millions. This is even accounting for things like biological and chemical weapons.

Everything else is ephemeral. The arty threat is really the only thing that North Korea has as a card to play. They can't outlast, or outgun, and they don't have the manpower or supplies necessary to mount any sort of offensive action.

And even if they did, they don't have enough ammo, weapons, or ways to mobilize their manpower. They literally don't. The infantry take priority in terms of food, sure, but it isn't enough to go around once people start hoarding. And it definitely isn't enough to go around once the meager supply chain is interrupted.

We learned a lot in Iraq, a lot more than what you will hear about in the news. The locals can be bought and paid for, every time. We can destroy all of their natural resources and make them dependent on us. We can get biometrics from every single citizen that is forced into this program and record them. We still do this.

This allows for mass pacification of the populace. Don't buy in the whole God Emp. Kim thing, it's just a facade presented and enforced under penalty of death. Throw the beggars a couple of MRE's and watch what happens.

I don't think you understand why the Norks want nukes. The Norks want to ensure peace through nuclear deterrence, and your idiotic "better fuck with them before they can fuck with us" attitude is exactly what they want to address. The more you prod them with a stick, the faster they'll work towards developing more effective nuclear weapons, and no amount of sanctions or finger-wagging from the UN will stop them.
