Is American a joke? I mean the M1 is trash compared to the Leo 2 and T90s. All our AA is horrific compared to superior Russian alternatives like the Tunguska and BUK systems and even German, the gepard being the only good western AA ever made. 70 years ago the Germans were way ahead of us in everything! The tanks was even more horrible, german panzers took an average 3-4 Shermans to be defeated and couldn't even be killed by the front. Anyone also remember the joke of a tank the M3 Lee, these were expected to fight Panzer 4s which were far superior. It's obvious we didn't take our country's military seriously. Even now we don't, I mean look at what a joke it was in the 60s and 70s, anyone remember the Sergeant York and MBT70 failures and we were using the M60 as our principle MBT for 2 decades! A horrible outdated trash tank that would've had to go up against and fight far more effective T64s and T72s! I mean this is the excuse we use for the shitty American armor throughout history. This is also not including Vietnam, we lost to rice paddy farmers. Back in WW2 Germany was flying jet fighters against our planes and we took horrific losses. Now we pour billions of dollars into the F35, which cannot even fucking fly. Now that Russia and China are catching up, what the fuck can we do? Are we out of our minds? Do we just like being underdogs and shit. Stop falling for the propaganda, open your eyes!
atleast we have the britbongs and there best tanks
Politicians anon. The bane of our military's existence.
They kill good programs and push stupid ones.
When costs are insane they vote to spend more.
When they don't feel threatened cut spending.

That's fucking badass, especially if the left side selector works too.
I like how you can keep your thumb on an Ak's selector, while keeping the rifle at rest.

You're at home and a couple of armed guys are breaking in at night with the intent of stealing your hard-earned possessions and sexually assault your girlfriend/wife whilst they're at it. However before they're able to do so, you make your way downstairs after having grabbed a pistol/rifle from your arsenal. What gun and ear protection would you use to 100% protect yourself without worrying about whether you'll make it out alive and ringing ears if a firefight were to ensue?
My Mossberg 500 and impact pro earmuffs
Get smoked nigga
>>33870459
>you make your way downstairs...
i always read the more effective thing to do was wait wherever you are and let the troublemakers come to you
because you know where they are based on noise, they don't even know you are there, so when they come up the stairs or enter your BR you can then just start shooting them to hell
but to leave the BR and go looking for them, seems really dumb
>>33872739
That's my plan. Considering I'm hooked up toa c-pap machine and in a hospital type bed (head and foot raise), I'd make more noise than they would. I'll just pretend I'm still asleep and wait until they poke their heads in.
It's also why I sleep with my pistol iwb
Anyone know why it's easier to purchase a handgun in commie California than it is in North Carolina?
>>33870444
What are the laws in North Carolina?
>>33870458
You need a permit to purchase a handgun from the sheriff of your county. Who can deny you for any reason they want.
> TFW just bought two handguns in California and they're on a registry and I have to wait 10+ days
Post the guns that everyone says is ugly yet you think looks great.

What are some actual weapons that operate akin to this?
Breech loading matchlock, looks like.
I bet the Japanese had something like this at some point, they got real creative with their matchlocks and had a horizontal revolving one at one point, but it's hard to find images on anything super unique.
Also matchlock/wheel lock thread.

LARPing isn't part of the job. You will spend your time writing traffic tickets, doing paperwork, and dealing with people that are so drunk that someone felt the need to call the police. Have fun.

is this why alot of cops are smug, arrogant assholes?
they get so tired of dealing with retards they treat literally everyone like delinquent children?

h-how do i watch ian-senpai? whenever someone talks too much in one big sitting I cant concentrate and get distracted.
Stop playing videogames, exercise regularly (outside) and take up something that requires a bit of thinking. Read nightly, with all your electronics off.
Concentration through the roof.

The Kirza pouch, developed in the early 50's as a general issue pouch for the Mosin,SKS,SVT40 and SVD.
And produced well into the 1990's, these high quality and cheap pouches are a great milsurp item.
lets see those pouches! Bonus points for those with 1990's dated Mosin Pouches.

It hurts a little
My grandfather would never talk of his time in the military beyond simply saying he was one of the Americans to liberate a camp and it affected him. When I was little he taught me to fire a handgun prone and referred to the ironsights as a castle. I know from talking to other family members that he was a Marksman of some kind. Can anyone tell me where exactly he might have served given these clues? He's dead now and so is everyone his age who knew anything. He didn't keep his uniform or medals. He really really didn't like talking about the war.
He liked to mark his ironsights blue, but that was at deer camp and in my lifetime. Plus he was colorblind, so that might not really mean anything.
Picture not really related. I don't have any digital pictures of him.
europe
And "Europe" isn't an answer. I'm trying to figure out which camp he liberated.
