Just thought I'd let you know that I found that legendary "chinese loomis" all those god-tier painters kept studying.
Guess what, his name is Leonardo da Vinci and apparently he's not even chinese.
Now you have no excuse, so go, be free and git gud.

Hey all, I want to make this image of a crazed religious mob very unsettling/creepy but I think I'm missing the mark by a mile. It hasn't been inked and colored yet but I feel like I understand what's creepy but I'm having a hard time translating that to the page. Any tips? Does it look stupid? Should I scrap it and start with something else?
>>2677122
are those midgets? they look like midgets.
those postures are weak man, that guy with the hood looks stiff as fuck.
Work on you composition, do thumbnails before actually trying to come up with a piece.
>>2677126
So maybe zoom out a little and show more of the crowd? Resize the chained up prisoners? Does the canted angle work or should I go with a level shot?
A lot of what defines "unsettling" is your choice of color, and especially, the atmosphere. Having that in line-art is difficult to show.
In many cases, less is more.
Gonna redo an old favorite of mine, what arrangement is better (balance, emphasis, etc)? Pic is the original.
Also, post alphabets, pieces, references, everything callygraphy goes here.
Arrangement 1 (original one) I think the spacing is wonky at times, and looks haphazard in composition. Was made in a rush, really.
Arrangement 2. I like the emphasis put on 'truth', and the flow of the reverse pyramid, but the symmetry and shape are kinda overused

Forgot file, lel
How do you know how far "off paper" to put two vanishing points to be "realistic"? I am a complete noob if you can't tell.
>>2676292
In 2-point, "realism" is based on how close or how far the two point are away from each other: closer means more distortion/makes it feel like you're closer; And further apart gives more flat, distant 'telophoto lens' feel. Good practice is to get a cuboid object and draw it a few times with different VP setups and you'll start to understand the effect
>>2676292
One point perspective is just a special case of two point perspective, it's just the other point(s) is off to the left and right at infinity, off the page.
In two point, you can have the point as close or far a part as you want, it'll just dictate the scale of your drawing.
Sorry if you asked the wrong question. I have no idea what I just answered.
We have a beginner thread and recommended books for a fucking reason.
Any other sticker artists around here?
I recently started doing this because I have weird ideas and doodles that friends enjoy, but they get lost in my notebooks with no purpose. So I started drawing mine in Inkscape and having them made into stickers to share, trade, and sell.
Bumping with another sticker design. If anyone is interested in getting into sticker-making or whatever, I'd be cool with offering advice and stuff.
I wish there were more sticker artists to revive diy punk aesthetics

Definitely. I've been seeing lots of slaps around dive bars and other music venues in my area. Lots of inspiration.
Why does Amano get paid millions of dollars for this
>>2671941
git gud and you'll know why.
Because that earns billions of dollars.
You say this like the art is what we are playing when its only the box art. You are an idiot.
Was keith haring the first street artist?
>>2677208
Not really, street art has been a thing since forever.
>First street artist
If you mean one of the few from that era, then yes.
>First Graffiti Artist
No.
>>2677216
I said street art not graffiti art.
Infinite Comic! Do a panel, pass it on.
>>2662892
Ignore that other one, I forgot the box
ã‚´ã‚´ã‚´
>Go to Pinterest for reference and inspiration
>got depressed instead
I feel like after a certain point, I don't even need anymore inspiration. I just know what I need to do and that it'll take me time before I reach their level. I do get down when I think about how much I want it, but can't have it though.
>>2677403
Jokes on you, I'm always depressed
>>2677425
Kek
Well it's not like SnK's art is good now.
So don't worry you can become famous and rich even of you draw like shit.
>>2675186
The problems is i don't want to make Comics. I want to something like Manga but in the form of a Web Comic
>>2675228
>the problem is I don't want to make comics
>I want to make a webcomic
what did he mean by this?
>>2675186
He got lucky and you won't. Stop being delusional.
Im making (paying a few dollars) someone painting me and my GF, me like some dark angel, she as some fairy. to represent that the cute and innocent can seduce the wild and reckless.
she sent me the gray first sketch today. quite anonymous. then i gave it a few good runs through some effects and filters in some software. then out comes this.
she is good or what? so nice
wrong pic. here is the whole thing

WHAT THE FUCK AM I READING??????
cool dick faggot
Can we talk about Nintendo on the fucking warpath for fanart?
>>2665419
Fan art has always been illegal if you are profiting off it. I'm surprised more companies don't crack down on it harder especially when there's lewd things being produced. It's their property and they have every right to tell you to stop.
>>2665419
We had this thread before
What doxy did falls into the porn parody category,
>harmful brand
if a full of shit argument, "offending" is not a legal defense, and they can do jack shit about it.
>>2665422
There isn't really any proof that lewd fanart hurts business. I remember back in the day when people used to develop so called total conversions for Doom and Quake etc. based on popular franchises. Many were shut down for no good reason and only serves to piss people off. Fan created content can only help a IP grow.
>Take 1 hour break in between 1-2 hours of studying
>Accomplish 4 hours of useful studying without being mentally tired
What do you guys do to get the best out of your time?
>>2674472
We make shit threads. You?
>>2674473
Please, finding out a good mental relaxation routine from a fellow artist to get the most out of your studies hardly constitutes a "shit" thread.
Go eat lead.
wake up at 5am- make breakfast and chat until 6am
paint until noon
30 min lunch.
paint until 3.
shitpost and clean house.
I've been doing a lot of stream of consciousness writing and wanna know what people think but am too scared to post it anywhere that isn't anon. If ya'll are interested I'll post some stuff here if not I guess let the thread die
How come all these writerfags are too stupid to fucking read?
There is a board for this shit >>>/lit/
>>2677285
Sorry bro, I'm an oldfag, like ten years old. I don't think that was even a board when I used to use 4chan. Thanks for directing me there newfag.

This may be a signature? It was on the bottom of a pencil drawing of what we think is from Gone With the Wind.
What do you think it says?
