I need help but I don't know what help I need. I look at shit like (pic related) and I just shake my head. How is this supposed to help me? Draw a cereal box, then just magically turn it into an organic shape? I'm told it's supposed to help you "visualize the body as 3 dimensional shapes" but I already do that. In fact it blows my mind people need to practice drawing boxes in order to "conceptualize" the fact that eyes are eyeballs, not just circles on a face.
So then I figure, maybe I just need to study muscles and shit. But holy fuck, there are like dozens of muscle groups in any given part of the body. Am I expected to believe every good artist can name and draw every muscle of the body?
All I want to do is learn how to draw an arm, hand etc at any given angle. Not a cereal box hand, and not a robo bean hand, and I don't want to take a biology course on the 52 different tiny muscles of the hand. And I'm not looking for a short cut either, so don't accuse me of looking for the "easy way out". I want to know how to construct the body well but the typical shit I see here is of no use to me. There are all these subtle curves and intricacies of the body, not just the contour but the texture. How do you know how to do those things? Please excuse my attitude

When you realize this is all academic and none of the pros really draw this way you'll finally leave the matrix.

Read the image you yourself posted. Basic shapes help with perspective. Nothing to do with conceptualizing that three dimensions exist
Do you guys have any great copic painting demonstrations that are as good as these:
Kim Jung Gi demos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-_f2Ngn8O0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmJE36moUeA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unPjH5nZ29I
Mark Brooks demos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh6GVQd8I0A
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU_WUpFeabg
I tried looking for more demonstrations, but I found most of them to be pretty bad and not in the level of quality as above.
I recently got into value painting using the Copic Sketch warm gray set, and pretty stumped on using it. So it would be great seeing many full-length demos

I don't do markers so can't give any specific recommendations, but I would imagine looking into artists who do either industrial design or product design would be a good idea since at least traditionally they did most of their work with markers so had it down to a science.
>>2674942
I'd imagine watercolor videos would be a good idea to watch because it's the same principles. Light to dark, back to front.
Hey /ic/ can someone make me a pizza logo with electricity? Preesh.

If you're willing to pay $150 via pay-pal then sure
This is my first time ever drawing on a computer
is there any hope for me left?
>>2675610
yes anon, everyone drew like a toddler at some point in their life.
>>2675620
I recently took an drawing class for 6 months, I took a painting class before that.
All my teachers tell me is that I'm just naturally bad at art.
Yes, but only if you actually try. You pretty obviously half-assed that drawing even by beginner standards. If half-assing it is going to be your approach going forward, find a different hobby.

Okay. Actually try making the picture vertically straight. Dumb ass.

doctov666 is that you old chap?
Are there people who make a living doing caricatures for private events (i.e., weddings, company picnics, birthday parties)?
I've seen how much you can make at amusement parks and it's kind of grim.
>>2675204
Nooooooooooooooo. You can't make a fucking living off this shit. It's usually volunteer or seasonal part time work.
>>2675206
Idk people I know who don't attempt to do it full time at all tell me they are able to get away with charging at least $100/hr with a 2 hour minimum. If you could get 2 events a week at that rate you'd be pulling in something like $30k a year working like 10 hours a week including transportation and stuff. Obviously the big challenge is finding clients but they go through event planners and seem to get jobs.
I know a guy who does it pro and has a house and a wife and two children who are 17+. It is possible but I'm really not sure how he does it, I think he sells prints, does classes, works events and all kinds of stuff.

This would drive me insane doing something different everyday.
Post what are you working on. RIGHT NOW.

This composition is lacking. Look up the Rule of Thirds, and The Golden Ratio. Composition is an important fundamental.

Hello. So i came here to ask you beautiful people for ideas on a tattoo. I have one already and would like to add something to it to finish off my forearm. Pic related what i've got. Now the problem is i'm not a 100% sure of what to continue it with. I'd like something scandinavian/germanic, myth or old religion related.
talk with your goddamn tattoo artist, wtf is wrong with you, treat them with some respect
Ay ay ay. First of all, i'm not really pleased with the guy who did the first one, so i've decided not to go back to him. I don't really know any other one's that would be good, so i came here just to ask for an opinion.
>>2675046
The idea for the first one was just found randomly online btw, not the artists idea.
Let's get creative /ic/!
Draw a line and repost. We'll see what we get in the end!

Does it make you better? Worse? Makes you more motivated or lazy?
I'm my case it's kind of complicated.
I live in Brazil and Cannabis is illegal here, so we can mostly get my hands on "brickweed". Weed that is cultivated (also illegally) in Paraguai, compressed to bricks and brought to Brazil.
Most of the time I don't know what i'm buying, if it's indica, sativa, what strain, no idea.. But I have the best dealer i can afford at the moment and most of the time the quality is ok, but the 'vibe' varies alot.
There's time when I smoke and get all creative, able to complete nice pieces in a couple of hours.
But there's times when I get all trippy and shit with all shorts of crazy ideas, but some kind of curse falls uppon me and I unlearn how to draw or I can only do psychedelic stuff that makes no sense...
I Just want to know other artist's view on this
English is not my first language and i'm kinda high, so... i'm sorry for any spelling mistakes haha :)
Here's an example of the second case.
I was warming up doing this study and not quite high yet...
40 mins later I was SUPER high and this was the result of a face study. The refference was the portrait of a woman floating in a pool...
However, I did this one from scratch from 5am to 8am after coming home from a party high as fuck.
When you jerk off to your own art
Well I know what I like the best.
